Love the hotel and the friendly staff. I got a burger and chips, $24.BUT, the chips were stale, barely warm, not crisp. Sort of ruins the meal.

Love it here, great prices, friendly service and lovely spaces. Looks dated on the outside but once you are inside it is fresh and modern.

So much potential and beautiful space( dining room) but hit and miss food to date. Booked the dining room again recently on a Sunday night with some oldies, arrived and told closed, directed to Atrium/ sports bar. Ordinary.

We recently had a function at the Marine Hotel in Brighton and could not have been more impressed and delighted with the venue and all the staff at the Marine Hotel. From our first meeting when we were looking at venues, to the birthday celebration, the function Manager stood out as being the most welcoming and helpful and continued to provide all the information and options available and accommodate our requests. Parking for the guests was easy, the Stables Room had loads of character and light and the tables were set up beautifully. A big shout out to the chefs too. The food was absolutely delicious and all the guests were extremely complimentary of the 2 course meal. I have received so many messages from our guests complimenting the food and the venue and everyone had a fabulous time. The staff looking after our function were extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating and worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. Thanks Marine Hotel staff !! We'll definitely be back and so will our guests.

Food was mediocrity at its finest and the wait staff was rude beyond words....kept telling is to hurry up. Do yourselves a favour and give this excuse of a restaurant a wide berth.

Came here for a group lunch and had the fish of the day. Happy with the fish when it came out, it was cooked to perfection. Lots of delicious food on their menu. I look forward to coming back and try more so I can bump up the star rating.

We had lunch on a weekday in the newly renovated restaurant. It was a perfect meal in a perfect environment. The renovations and alterations are great. The restaurant had a real 5 star feel to it. The menu prices were very reasonable as well.

Had dinner last night for mother's day. Had fish and chips and an eggplant dish. Extremely small servings of both dishes for $30 each. Was just a waste of money.

Had my 76th birthday lunch in the restaurant in March. Absolutely wonderful. The food was the best i have had for a long time, service was perfect and overall could not fault it at all. Well done to everyone involved.

Venue exceeded expectations, the interior is quite modern and clean for something that alluded to being an average local pub. Service was friendly but a bit hit and miss, our drinks never arrived and the parma that I requested as no ham came with. $20 parma and pot Tuesdays is excellent value but given my husband ate his before mine arrived due to the poor attention to detail of the kitchen it wasn’t the greatest experience though I enjoyed the meal and would return

The venue is smart, parking is on-site and free. The Mumm champagne bar is attractive. Wait staff are pleasant, unfortunately the menu has not been equally elevated.

Extremely disappointing dinner last night, despite a fairly pleasant environment . My ILLUSIONS cocktail sure was that !… bland and choc full of ice after I had requested very little of it ! My ‘grilled’ rockling (which tasted like frozen product ) was covered on one side with an unwanted batter-like product and the accompanying ’salad’ was merely a generous handful of salad leaves ( from a supermarket bag ?) with some nondescript dressing. I substituted vegetables for chips and although these looked good… broccolini and carrots, they tasted weird. My companion’s steak and chips were apparently tasty but his salad was similarly nondescript. The burrata entree was not a true burrata cheese, not sure if they are trying to cut costs but I find this surprising in Brighton ! And no, I live outside this suburb. Won’t be back.

Very basic meal. Veal . Smaller than expected for $35. Service was efficient . Fries were ordinary. Why not prepare chips. I would suggest a lower food cost and memorable. My son had the Parma. Acceptable. Tiny serving of salad . And ordinary fries I would not go back

Had lunch after doing Cluedup. Nice enough. Was on Grand Final day, so they were short on time as they were fully booked.

I ordered the Porterhouse steak medium rare and ended up with a piece of round steak cooked medium-well that had been tenderised and had half a bucket of salt and pepper. Better steaks around, avoid this place.

We recently celebrated an event for our daughter in The Stable at the Marine Hotel and were truley delighted by the outcome. Sarah was great in assisting coordinate the event with prompt reliable communication; assistance in preparation of the menu options and helping out her team on the night. The staff were really friendly, approachable and professional. The Stable is a great room with flexible set up options based on the number of guests. All of our guests were impressed by the quality of the food and service provided. Thanks again to all of the team for a great night that was enjoyed by everyone in attendance!

I had the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was tough (needed a steak knife), unheated and dried out. It would appear chicken was pre-cooked then topped with ham, sauce and cheese and placed under a grill. Very disappointing. How hard is it to cook a fresh chicken parmigiana?

Had dinner at the Marine last night and it was amazing. We had the Steak & Shiraz special for $30 bucks and the steaks were so tender and juicy. It was our first time there after getting a recommendation from a friend and we will definitely be back.

Sadly, we don't often go to the Marine anymore. However, when we do it is so nice to see Pietra a lovely lady who has worked there for years. She is the hardest worker I know, always cleaning, always busy and still time to serve. She is caring, honest and sincere. Happy that she will ask people to quieten down as screaming from drunk men is quite unconfortable and the night she asked a few to quieten down 3 regulars left. She tried with no luck. Thank you Pietra for keeping some history in the Marine. You are a treasure. Some of the others girls agree and send their appreciation because they don't have google (lizzie & annie & Gillie & Margy & Margaret & Pete Pops & Jes & Charlie & Julie) - all the regulars that love Pietra).

On Saturday June 11, 2022 we hosted our daughter's 18th Birthday in 'The Stirling Room' and we received nothing but sterling service all the way! From Lois who showed us around and took our booking, to Sarah who communicated with us about our function, to Ben who helped us set up and Ani, Ella, Stew & Sammii who waited on us on the night - we can only sing their praises! They were all extremely friendly, professional and polite, ensuring that the night went smoothly and without any issues. All of our guests were thrilled with the quality of the food and the quantity! 'The Sterling Room' itself was an amazingly private space that we were able to decorate so beautifully. It was a wonderful night and we would like to thank everyone for making our daughter feel special!
