Awsome staff nice room the food was great

My wife and I stayed at the Atlantic Tower Motor Inn in one of their spa rooms on the 10th floor for 3 nights during the recent New Year period.  Being so close to the shopping centre of Glenelg and so close to one of the best beaches in Adelaide, the location was perfect.  The room facing east was immaculate, well laid out, thoroughly cleaned each day and the view was breathtaking.  We were greeted at reception by a young gentleman called Akshay who was extremely pleasant, polite, friendly and offered advice as to what we could do in the area.  We will definitely return and hopefully stay in the same room next time.

The motel reception is now open which is a definite plus. The location is the best, close to beach, shops and bars. Motel service was very friendly and accommodating Enjoyed my stay. Room was very clean.

Very basic but comfortable and convenient

Had a room with a spa bath, but no minibar. Had a different room a few months ago with no spa bath and got a minibar. Confused!

We booked back in August for the queen spa bath room we travel from 2 1/2 hours away to get to the hotel to be given a room with two single beds and told this was the room we had booked, and when we asked the receptionist he stated that they have a new system and it was an error but could offer the we previously booked but can compensate us, we got our refund and left to another hotel as this was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable, we would never recommend this hotel to anyone nor will we ever book here again if we could we would leave a negative stars

Staying in a water tower is a special experience. It’s so quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed the balcony with the beach to the left and marina to the right. The rooms and amenities are dated but clean. So close to the beach, jetty Rd and the Marina. New owners. Very friendly and helpful

The good aspects are the motel’s proximity to Jetty Road with its shops and cafes, and the tram and beach being near by. The room was clean, though a tad noisy, it sounded like pipes banging (intermittently), particularly at night, no view and the towels seriously need to be replaced. They’re of a poor quality and don’t grip onto one’s skin to get dry. A microwave in the room wouldn’t have gone astray. |The new manager is great, very friendly and helpful, and keen to do a good job. |However, can only give three stars as it’s average accommodation.

Room felt dirty chairs were filthy and univiting to sit on, vent beside bed was absolutely filthy, window in bathroom was moldy, the bathroom flooded due to poor shower, when placing the white towels down to dry the floor they were also filthy.. the bed had hairs on the sheets also incredibly univiting, unable to request different room due to noone being at the desk when we returned from dinner.

View from Glenelg Beach on the left to way passed the city on the right. Enormous bed. Fashionable bathroom. Outstanding value.

This place is so nice and convenient location for best holiday or business in Adelaide. Its close proximity to all best places to eat and beautiful view from the room, and to watch the best sunset. Room are well kept and clean. The service by the reception staff is expectational. Thank you Atliantic Tower team for making our stay so memorable.

The best hosts ever. So so friendly, kind and caring. Excellent accommodation, very clean - the view unreal. So close to all facilities that you need, tons of restaurants, coles supermarket just around the corner, a great bakery 2 doors away and a Dan Murphy just over the road. Free parking also. We will definitely be back.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!! 🥳🥳🥳 A refreshing change at 'Atlantic Tower Motor Inn' 🤗 Reception is now attended until 9pm. Lovely new owners who are pleasant and cheerful to deal with. I'm sure management will give The Atlantic the TLC needed to bring back old-fashioned hospitality with being greeted by people who can answer questions and provide the service patrons expect when getting accommodation on holiday or for work. We have already been delightfully assisted with a couple of simple requests. The new owners have gone above expectations to see our requests met. I wish the new owner the very best success in the future. We have 2 bookings already made. Having already stayed before when the only service was via the phone. The old owners. A lovely place. Enough space in the room for your stay. A small couch would be nice to turn around to be able to sit and enjoy the beautiful views day or night. No on-site service is available for things like ice. A pura tap is needed or complimentary bottles of water. Not the most insulated place, noice wise. We had to purchase 2 big bags of ice for a 2 night stay. Freezer didn't work to keep the first one. I would stay again.

STAY AWAY Booked a 3 person room because we have a child, they gave us one bed and then refused to fix their mistake. No sound insulation throughout the whole building either and the lights don’t work. There’s no reception, no one to talk to except a phone number.

11th floor gorgeous view and quiet

Once I conquered the electronic check-in all good

Great place to stay the night, especially if you have travelled long distances.

Constant sounds of water running through the whole room, went quiet when I opened my door. Kept awake all night people slamming doors. I called the mobile number and the lady said she would send someone over but it didn't stop so i guess no one came. I was then blacklisted. The first reason was because the smoke alarm went off. I told the fireman that the exhaust fan didn't work and I had a shower so the steam from the shower must of set it off, they didnt know which room set it off at that stage and i was never informed by the motel till after i checked out. They then said the manager blacklisted me but if I stay there again I can only stay in room 20 she then said I can only stay if I pay $700 for the fumigation fee because the room smelt like smoke. I do not smoke. Very bad service. I sent email during my stay about the constant harassment and they were ignored. I recorded the harassment on my phone so I will be sending them to the hospitality board.

Room was clean and spacious enough for a couple of nights. Check in is self serve and parking is available for free. I thought that I read that rooms were not serviced every day and was surprised to return and find that my room had been serviced after night 1. Close to Glenelg beach and the surf club.

Check in was fast using self service, first few nights were good then harassed by room next door. Running water noises all night, slamming doors and rattling mu door. Smoke alarm goes off with burnt toast and or shower steam. Exhaust fan and bathroom stopped working after all the banging from next door

Our stay was good. Clean room comfortable beds. However it’s been two weeks and still after two phone calls and promises that it will be done, I have still not been refunded my deposit. There were no issues and nothing needed to be taken out of it. They deposited one dollar into my account saying that it would speed up the process and still nothing. Not happy at all. Has anyone else had trouble with them hanging on to their deposit? It seems quite unethical 😡

The remotes for the TV and air-conditioning were dodgy and there was a minor hiccup booking in but it's clean and close to appointments.

We stayed on the 9th floor and as per my request we had twin beds and a view. The view was nice although the beds were rather soft and the pillows very flat. We had requested plates and cutlery at the time of booking and they were there along with water and wine glasses. There is a toaster and a kettle in the room. The bathroom is reasonably spacious and I appreciated that the shampoo, conditioner and body wash was in large re-fillable containers rather than the small containers we found in many other motels on our road trip through Victoria and South Australia. Check in to get the room key is done via a kiosk outside the front door of the motel and this was the only part of our stay that I didn't like. The entrance is close to a road a traffic lights and at 4.30pm on a week day afternoon there is quite a bit of traffic noise which made it impossible to hear the message that comes from the machine. There is no ability to have the message repeated in case they are telling you something important. Obviously if you check in at a quieter time of day this wouldn't be a problem. The motel is very old, I remember when it was built in the late 70's/early 80's and there used to be a revolving restaurant at the top. The hallways are narrow and curved as it is a circular building and the lift is very small. My partner and I speculated how paramedics would manage an emergency situation in such conditions. Thankfully nothing untoward eventuated and we enjoyed our stay.

Room was neat, very clean. No issues at all. Would stay there again

no staff on sites, check in 7/24 by ourselves. And location is excellent. And just few minutes to jetty road very busy area.

Stop here on my way back to Melbourne. Rooms are exceptionally clean and the location is walking distance to great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Wunderbar

The room was all you really need, clean and tidy plenty of room, double bed and a single with two seat dining table and small two seater lounge. Price point for where and what you got I can't complain at all. The shower for me was outstanding, the pressure was awesome, you didn't have to run around trying to catch the water either. 😆. It was literally a 5min walk to the main street to catch a tram or get to the shops. For dinner at the marina even less of a walk 3min. I would normally stay in apartment accommodation for two or more nights, this place was really quite good for a one night stay for me.

Top views, great spot, average rooms but cheapish

Good Service, nice clean rooms, close to all amenities..

Views were great....mostly clean except for ledges in main room and bathroom were full of mould...i recieved a text message b 4 check in friday and issues contact given mobile....i messaged a complain and pictures to number given i was told wring number...sent email heard nothung as yet...laundry was thick in dust.

Apartment was absolutely amazing, so clean and warm , management was so easy and delightful, definitely our go to place from now on won't stay anywhere else .

Nice comfortable bed, and nice rooms, was having a great sleep until the fire alarm at 2am. Would stay again 😊

Great place to put your head down. Very clean & comfy beds and a great spot well priced.

It was ok. But no hot water and it takes a long time to fill the spa

Has a self serve check in which is good and close to Glenelg. Nice cosy room.

Reminds me the hotels in Tokyo. Contact-less service is really smart (My favourite, but may not for everyone). The room is perfectly clean. The location is definitely better than I expected. You can walk to supermarket, bottle shop, and fancy cafes and restaurants.

My partner and I have been going to Atlantic Tower for a few years now and we have always enjoyed our stay and always found the staff and the rooms very satisfying, the location is excellent. We will definitely be going back again and again

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Great ocean view

Reasonable accomodation in a good location. I booked the spa suite at $574 for two nights. The room was pleasant enough however unfortunately there was not enough hot water to adequately fill the spa bath before it ran out so I had two luke warm, half filled spas which was very disappointing. Not good enough when you pay extra for the spa and then find it very unsatisfactory due to no hot water left I would not book the spa room again

Overnight stay Apr. 2019 • Family Convenient to everything. Modern, comfortable and clean I had heaps of questions regarding our late arrival/keys and made sure I rang them to find out details. We arrived around 9.30pm and used the 'online check-in' system outside the building. Abit nervy as people could be right next to you watching. The system is fairly easy to navigate but don't forget to take your credit card at this check-in, as they will bill you the $100 deposit before you can get your key. The Car park you use next door is a public car park with plenty of parking. Your check-in portals are to the left of the front doors and will not only drop vour keys but it provides a ticket for your car in the car park.

This building was an icon many years ago. Time has moved on and left this establishment in its wake. There is not enough space here to fully describe the poor state of this place, the frustration with checking in via a machine, the dated rooms, the narrow corridors, the basic fixtures missing, the list is long. Book in somewhere else.

Great facilities, great veiws from the top floor restaurant. Highly recommended

Our room was on the 10th floor facing south east. We had an amazing view seeing the city, the Adelaide hills and Jetty Road (At night this looked even better). The room was very modern, with a nice sized TV. The weather was great for a beach side holiday. The short 300m walk to the beach was very convenient..... the fridge was very quite and ensured we had ice cold drinks upon return, the air conditioner worked great and allowed a great nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Check In and Check Out was contactless and very simple.

Great place to stay, good location (300m to the beach) heaps of things to do within walking distance (pubs, cafes, shopping and tram to the city). Clean modern room, good sized TV, great Air-con after a hot 40'C summer days on the beach, silent fridge.... shower had good pressure. Bed was clean and comfortable. Check-In & Out was simple. Great view of the city, hills and jetty road.

Booked on Expedia they had no record of our booking. Spent 30 mins on the phone stuck in reception then they couldn’t accomodate us even though we booked it on line for three people. Was left stranded with no accommodation in 40 degree heat. No check in, no reception. All staff work remote and room charges are completely overpriced

We had a balcony room. It was good. Great views, clean and comfortable

Clean room, hall way smelt like chlorine, shower tiles a little slippery, very clinical, a bed for the night nothing special. Electronic check in ok but the price a little high I think for self serve.

Only book here if travelling light and solo and overall don’t care about safety at all. Otherwise you might risk having to carry your belongings through the emergency exits. I initially liked the idea of a 24 hour check in and automated process. I wish it was done properly. As many mention in their reviews, the equipment they have is archaic and you should bring all your patience before starting the check in When arriving to this accomodation you are welcomed by the exposed cables in the ceiling, the underwhelming technology and a broken sign. exactly what you want for your holiday... When we arrived for check in (with heaps of hevavy equipment) my partner and I realised only the 'private' elevator was working going up and had to travel down the emergency exit to retrieve our things. The second day of our stay, the bathroom towels had been replaced but bed wasn't made. Not sure if this is part of their protocols. What had me in tears at 3:45 in the morning was trying to check out with 3 oversized (over 20kg) luggage pieces + a carry on and two backpacks and finding out NONE of the elevators were working. Called the mobile number provided for after hours emergencies and left a text after I received no response. My partner and I had to carry all the equipment 9 stories risking an injury and missing our flights to then receive 0 communication or acknowledgment. I understand I booked through a third party website that takes a fee/tall but the over $800 worth of stay is NOT acceptable.

Id give 1 star for the location, everything else was horrible, the room was dirty, the door on the balcony didn't lock there was no screen on the window in the bathroom, all through the night and early morning there was a lot of noise, everytime someone would use a shower or a tap you can hear it so loudly through the walls, i had someone try and open our door during the middle of night, assuming they may have got their room mixed up but it was still terrifying to wake up to, I had no sleep staying here. This hotel is not worth the $230 per night price tag I only stayed here for the convenience, I don't usually like to complain and I was going to just leave it, but I am now being charged an extra $50 by the hotel for a cleaning fee on a stain the was already on the carpet when I checked in! It was an old and crusty stain, when you look at the stain you can see its been there awhile!. I used to stay in this hotel all the time but it has gone down hill dramatically since and I will never stay here again.

Clean rooms, good views, be patient with the auto checkin. Very helpful staff, contacted by phone asking for new towelling. Very accomdating staff. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Walk to the beach, kids fun park just around the corner.

Easy check in, check out excellent location, lovely clean rooms and wonderful shower

Overall good value for money. Central, clean and simple check in and check out.

Friendly staff. Close to all amenities and room very comfortable to stay in.

Arrived with 25mins to spare b4 dad's funeral paid via zip pay virtual card as only opened account to get me to Adelaide, got to motel they would not let me into my room without hard copy of card. Will never book here again.

Amazing views with everything you need for an overnight stay

Cheap and clean , bed was amazing 👍

This place is awesome value for money. Immaculately clean and tidy, great views, easy self check in and free parking. Quick stroll to everything you need in Glenelg, and just far enough from the square so it’s a quieter location. Back again this Saturday to enjoy another stay.

Stayed there recently instead of the CBD, location was awesome, room spotless and comfortable the views are priceless, the staff were also really accommodating

Very rude staff, these people lied about giving my fiance an immediate refund" and it was not her/our error at all we put in our notes that we wanted a room with a balcony and we had the option for a double bed or 2 singles and obviously we pressed the double bed option. My fiance still hasn't received her refund and was told she won't get a full refund as there will be a cleaning fee when all we did was walk in the room LOL. My fiance also did communicate by phone 3 times before we got to the place and also talked to the young girl who was there helping another lady these people had mucked around. Most horrible experience I've ever had with any hotel I've been to and can most certainly say I'll never be coming back here nor recommending it to anyone!"

I had requested a double bed & a balcony but when I checked in there was no balcony and 2 single beds, the staff are helpful and agreed to giving me a full refund but I personally wouldn’t recommend staying here

A wonderful 2 night stay, very clean room, quiet, and comfortable. Carnt wait to stay there again.

We personally prefer the automated check-in and it worked perfectly! Did the full check-in before arrival online with only the final part on the touchscreen out the front. The building is a classic Adelaide icon, well known as being the revolving restaurant years ago, so was nice to actually stay there after driving past for so many years. The room we had was on the 10th floor with awesome views, tastefully modernised, clean and comfortable, there is some traffic noise etc as you'd expect being located right in the heart of Glenelg. Was perfectly located for our visit back to the awesome Watermark Buffet recently revived since Copout19 killed it. We will definitely be back again as it was also excellent value for money and if you stay for multiple nights the rate drops quite considerably (the people who whinge about the lack of daily cleaning fail to mention this).

Great view n comfy bed, next to lifts and walking distance from shops. Not happy bout being charged for 3 night accomm n security deposit to find I had same pending on my bank acc, bout to be charged twice, Atlantic denied 2nd charge and said no notice of this in their books till I stated I had contacted my bank head office, all of a sudden they saw the 2nd charge($700) 😡 Bit suss, watch ur statements..getting reimbursed..😊

The kiosk check in is failing the touch screen. The rest of the hotel no problem at all. Good location though.

Not easy to check in. The self-checkin is not for simple people. Hotel is without employees. You have then fix out all the things bij your self. The place is near Glenelg beach. Thats a plus for sure. If you need more information you need internet. Adelaide have a greatbbeach. This hotel is a perfect location. So the 3 stars are sure for right

Booked because I thought it had room service. It does not. No reception. Location great and room nice and clean

Great view, clean room. will be back.

A Bit tired on the outside but all refurbished inside in a one bedder. Price around mid $150 for a night. Great views if you can get the Western or Northern balcony.

Spent the night at the Atlantic tower motor inn and was pleasantly suprised. There is no front desk so you have to sign in via the outside kiosk, which was no hassle and easy enough to use. The room itself was lovely and the view was spectacular! You also get free parking which was easy to access. So worth it for the price. I was on the 9th floor and could see everything in Glenelg. Was a great suprise. Nice clean tidy rooms, comfortable bed and a wireless phone charger! Only downside was the outside noise! Heaps of people driving around and you can hear every bit of it besides that tho Would recommend 🙂
