Nightcap at Playford Tavern

Excellent service

Had a family event to attend. The young man at reception was very helpful and courteous. The staff in Bistro and Bar were very friendly and the food was excellent. Beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. Bottles of water in fridge and bags of lollies on the bed. Only one problem was another patron late at night making noise but a staff member came up to sort it quite quickly.

Good accommodation. New king mattresses and renovated rooms. Good hot shower and aircon. Will be back when working in the area.

The beds are very comfortable, not big rooms, but adequate.

The hotel manager (Trae) is highly professional and very amiable but the old lady at the point of check out is very unfriendly and acted so much like a racist!

I was in Adelaide on business and had to visit a client for work. The Tavern was nearby. It was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I experienced was that some of the other guests were very noisy in the middle of the night. This made it very hard to sleep. Also I had a service dog with me and noticed there were no bins when I had to take her out to toilet.

Room was very comfortable, and the pub dinner (I had the lamb chops) was fantastic. Great little pub and a nice place to stay.

Phoned to book a room at this tavern on the 18th March 24 and was told that because it was the last one available the price was not as advertised at $128 but was now $146.As it was late in the day we accepted the increased price. This however was not the reason for writing a review. We went to the restaurant for dinner and ordered what was described as a home made style chicken pie from the specials menu and in fairness to the person taking our order was told that their was a bit of a wait. After an hour and 10 minutes we were served our meal and the pies looked like a standard packet pie but what upset us was that they were they obviously reheated in the oven and simply forgotten about because they were blackened on both the top and bottom.It was the manager that served them to us and I asked for our money back which he agreed to. So I would warn against eating at this tavern

Great place

Stayed a night in town to attend a family function. All upstairs rooms and can be a bit noisy from doors and other visitors, you can hear people talking in next room. The room was lovely clean with everything we needed. Super comfortable beds.

Fabulous place for a stopover. Clean room, bed was super huge and comfortable with a softer mattress. No toaster but a kettle. The tavern downstairs serves a good pub meal. The room was very quiet but no windows to open for fresh air. And one flight of stairs to carry up your luggage. For the price, a great room

For the price had a very nice stay. Room is small, but has king size bed, clean and comfortable. Got a free drink voucher at the bar and 10%discount for dinner. Had a beef schnitzel for dinner with chips and a buffet salad and vege bar included Staff were helpful and friendly. Had a coin operated laundry next to the room so could wash all the work clothes. Was nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Lots of poker machines with reserve cards on for more than 3 mins

My room is modern, very clean and very comfortable and I feel the same way the bistro and bars. I have paid a lot more to stay in places and some don't even come close to here. Every staff member that I've met here are genuinely friendly and the service has been outstanding. And that's including the obvious locals who come here. I'm half way through my chicken parmi at the sports bar which is so good and at the craziest price. I highly recommend this place.

I must've stayed here close to a dozen times over the past 2 years. The rooms are basic, the bed is so so comfy. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Room service is good. Their dining menu has many yummy choices and kids eat for free 7 nights a week. I had the Barramundi, chips and salad from room service. Perfect.

Fairly regular diners here and can recommend the food quality and the service. Glad to see the salad bar back in action after a hiatus caused by covid. Have had no need for accommodation so can't comment on that!

Great staff and . Food

The room had a very strong stench of cigarettes. It was almost suffo suffocating and I was 🤰. Staying in this hotel was a nightmare for me. Wifi was not very good and the ac kept making squeeky noises all night. The pictures of bathroom is very deceptive. It's too small that you could hardly take a shower in it. The curtains were stained both in bathroom and bedroom. Overall it ruined our vacation mood. 😒

Went for lunch with a friend, always have a great meal there, staff are very friendly.

This pub is local and has a good atmosphere and meals. The menu has been recently changed and has a good selection.

Better than my last visit looks like Sapol keep a eye on the place looking after staff and patrons
