The Marion Hotel is awesome. We had had such a terrible day relocating from Melbourne, and needed to find accommodation at the last minute. Ben was fabulous and bent over backwards to help. He recommended eating at the on-site restaurant, and it was great. We came back for breakfast, which was also great with good coffee. What sets this hotel apart though is the staff. Obviously it’s got a cool aesthetic vibe going on, but I’m literally blown away by the helpfulness and genuine friendliness of every staff member we encountered at the Marion Hotel. 100% recommend and will definitely come back. Thankyou for looking after us.

We reached at 8:20 pm but were asked to move to the Garden, stating they are closing this area soon! They should update their website. Waitstaff will not come to your table to take your order, you need to either go to the bar to place an order or you can do it using QR code on the table. If you place order using QR code then you need to pay service charge/processing fee (no option to pay cash). If you place order at the bar you are required to pick up from another counter. Food was average, service below average. Bill for 4 was close to $200, there are other places offering better value for your hard earned money.

We had a lunch here, and had a chicken snitched and was very good.

Come for a First Aid course and stayed for lunch. Food and service was great. Sat in The Garden with a tree right in the middle of the seating area. It was so nice. Will definitely be back with the family for a meal.

Refurbished. It's a great improvement and takes the place to a new level. The food and amenities are excellent! I would recommend Marion Hotel for a great night out.

We went there for a Sunday lunch, only. So I can't comment on the rooms. The seating was comfortable and the tables were squashed in, so you had plenty of room to pull you chairs out. There was table service or you could go up to the bar and buy your drinks. I would highly recommend to book, as it was extremely busy. My lunch was delicious ( Spaghetti with chorizo and prawns). A friend had fish and chips and his fish was abit soggy. They will split the bill ,so if you have a big group it helps. There is parking back and front of the hotel as well in the side streets.

Its really quite a nice hotel. But its just so expensive. Food and drinks is top dollar for its level in the field..

Found a hair in my food, showed the waiter, she completely dismissed it saying some shit about it being from corn (no corn on my plate, had the texture of hair and wasn’t brittle like corn husk) was 100% hair from a beard I hope… then just took the plate and that was the end of it like it’s normal for hair to be in their food. Table 76 in the dining area 7th of Feb. sort it out.

The food use to be a lot better now it's expensive and not interesting

The dining room is the best option for service. I still don't understand fully self service in the other area.

Best hotel if your needing to visit flinders medical centre. Excellent service and friendly staff.

On a recent visit to the hotel for dinner with my daughter and her 4 month old baby I was surprised that they do not offer any baby changing facilities in the toilets or any where for that matter. Staff told us they don’t provide anything. Where, when u are dining can you safely and hygienically change a baby? For a hotel that says they are child friendly i was dumbfounded! Had to go outside in the heat and change her in the car. We did enjoy our meals however we will probably not return if we have the baby or recommend to others as a child friendly place.

Beautiful food personal table service

My partner and i stayed for my birthday and the staff dealt with all of the plans and surprises amazingly, they were so friendly and helpful with everything. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with some complimentary cold waters and snacks as well. We had some delicious drinks and breakfast the next morning too. Over all a wonderful experience and will be returning.

Prices in the bottlo don't match the registar, and its them that make the extra. Twice now getting beers for site. I won't be back. I don't ask for my money back i just don't return

Went to The Shed on New Year's Eve to have a bite to eat, watch the cricket and have a few drinks. Staff were very accommodating to a special need of one of my guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the Marion Hotel in general, for a good feed and a great atmosphere.

Had dinner last night. The place was lovely, and Sam our waiter did a great job looking after us. The food however, was disappointing,overpriced and their was no specials menu? I had Mango Chicken Curry for $33, it wasn't any nicer than one made with jar sauce, and not enough for the rice given. My partner had a burger, for $29 it was underwhelming, he at least expected salad on it, and the chips were undercooked. The music was too loud in the other area , which affected our dining experience also. Won't be returning

From the get go staff was very friendly and great service. Breakfast was great every morning with lots of choices. Room was immaculate and spacious and location of the hotel was close to the city as well as the beaches.

Clean rooms friendly staff. Only criticism goes to room design which goes back to the architects.

Didn't stay but we had a meal here just before Christmas and was so disappointed in their meals. They were very expensive for the quality and quantity. I doubt we will return.

This hotel is great. We stayed in a room that has a window seat that looks out onto a stunning gum tree. We've been taking day trips up into the hills, national parks, the city and the water front. I feel like we're close enough to everything.

Great food and service

Christmas lunch. Was very busy, so book early if you want to go. The staff were good and friendly and did their best to keep up. A good overall package although no person on our table liked everything on the plate. There was a lot of swapping going on with every course. Nice selection of drinks included but the coffee was shocking! I like filtered coffee but this was undrinkable.

Very clean and well maintained and good value. Michelle looked after uw very well.

The food service is always excellent but I went to the toilet twice and in the mens toilets on two separate occasions, two guys came out of the men's cubical the thing that alarms me is that the marion hotel dining area is a family space, this is not a nightclub

Had the pleasure of dining there today for lunch and really surprised at the quality of food on offer . The outstanding level of service from the wonderful hostess Toni when helped make it a fabulous day. Would thoroughly recommend this place as it was great and affordable too.

Great food and entertainment

While the service was lovely, as was my meal, I was shocked that the cost of a single gin and tonic cost $24.70 - almost as much as my meal! I appreciate that there's a lot that is factored into pricing but that is extortionate.. and convenient that prices aren't listed in the menu for spirits, yet have gone to the effort of listing what is available. Disappointing.

This is my second time to stay at your hotel. Very spacious. Excellent breakfast, big portion. All of us cannot finish the whole breakfast. Highly recommend.

We went for a year 12 celebration and the food was amazing and delicious.

Where do I start? Upgrades are OK, service, there's no service unless you order a drink or meal from the bar. Once you order a meal, you're given an electronic buzzer that buzzes when your meal is ready, then you have to go & p/up your own meal from a counter. Oh, & whilst there, you need to remember to get your own cutlery too, as none is provided at the tables nor is salt 'n pepper. Lunch for 3 of us, a serve of garlic bread, a beef schnitzel, which had more crumbs than actual beef, 1 fish 'n chips & 1 caesar salad with so many bacon pieces, which were way too hard, even for crispy bacon & it was mostly inedible. That cost the 3 of us just under $2.00 shy of $100.00 in total. Definitely won't be eating here again, the food certainly wasn't worth $100.00 let alone the lack of service & I would highly recommend to anyone to not go to the Marion Hotel. Sorry, but your prices & lack of service do not go hand in hand. Almost forgot, when ordering a schooner of beer, it was served in a long tall soft drink glass. No I don't recommend at all !

I stayed in the accessible room which was unable to cater to even my basic needs i.e, door was so heavy I had to ask for assistance to open it and bed was so high I couldn't get in or out unassisted completely unsuitable, went down to restaurant for breakfast and poached eggs over cooked and had eggshell in it

Had brunch there today; service was quick which is a bonus. Hubby ordered the lot" which was supposed to have sauteed mushrooms and no kidding he got a quarter of a mushroom! I had some sauteed spinach with my brunch which was gritty and awful to eat. We let the waitress know when she collected our plates and she said she would tell the chef - I hope she did."

Really nice hotel good meals good rooms

Great place to go for a meal and a couple of quiet drinks. The venue does sometimes have a DJ over the weekends but it is definitely not rowdy by any means.

Steak was good had to pay extra for gravy and no table service

HerOne of the best 3 nights of my life—cheap and luxurious! I can’t recommend any other hotel more highly. The beds were so comfortable I wanted one for my home, the TV came with Netflix, YouTube, and a great range of channels, and the overall vibe was amazing. The showers were fantastic—I felt like I was in heaven. For a hotel at this price, I couldn’t recommend anything else!

Went for Saturday lunch had the chicken burger. The chicken had no taste the slaw was all red cabbage and the bun felt stale. Very disappointed. Third time eating here and all duds. My advice try the a Warradale!

The service is poor you have to collect your own meal and the price was over price it is a shame I would not recommend or visit again

Perfect! Great atmosphere food and service. Cleanliness was amazing.

We went for a meal tonight. Booked through the website, which was very easy. Arrived and were met with fantastic service. The staff were super helpful and polite. The food was incredible. We all had the scotch fillet steak and not only was the steak cooked perfectly, but the sides were delicious. A little pricey but the portions were generous and the quality was worth the $$$

This has been a favourite of my friends and I for a while, full disclosure. From a much more modest premise, The Marion Hotel has gone through a significant facelift in the last few years. For a more party style atmosphere, the main bar is spacious, offering indoor and outdoor vistas in a stylish, contemporary setting. But for something a little more laid back there is the sportsmans bar to the south of the building, which is cozy without being cramped. The drinks prices were reasonable in this economy and speaking for the sportsmans bar, the food is good pub quality. While a little out of the way, there is accommodation available. So a good place with a good vibe.

The full breakfast is fantastic

Had my engagement party at the Marion hotel and the staff were very helpful, made our day super special. All our guests enjoyed the food and some even stayed there the night. Thanks again.
