Nice place, atmosphere is good, food is decent. But the service was awful, 2 bartenders pretty much ignoring us for a good 5 minutes even though we were the only people standing in the bar at the time. Busy on their phones not doing their jobs. Go to The courtyard in the RSL instead.

Always a great place to meet up with friends, a lovely sports bar. Food is good, staff are excellent.

Nice venue but the food service is terrible, i'm only giving one star because there's no option to give 0 I ordered a chicken parmi and it took 2 hours to be ready, honestly, congratulations for such a shiiiit service

Lively atmosphere. Beautiful space. The cheese on both my burger and nachos were not good at all. Would elevate the experience serving proper cheese instead of liquid cheese. Chicken wings good.

Absolutely rubbish food. I have given the battery house so many chances as i am a local and a member. There needs to be a serious revaluation on the chefs & the menu. Great for a drink, avoid eating anything from there.

I love Dee Why Rsl, but when you advertise a sporting event, “Live and Loud”, could you please turn the volume up?!? This has happened several times now, the most recent being the Kangaroos versus Samoa in the Pacific Championships. Advertised “Live and Loud” but actually was shown in quarter screen with the sound down! Everyone in the room except for one table, wanted to watch the league, but there was no sound. I ended up leaving at half time and going to Collaroy. Very disappointed.😢

Only reviewing my meal....vegetarian natchos. Maybe its the norm for natchos to be swimming in bottled cold cheese sauce these days. Whatever happened to grilled real cheese. So dissapointed in this short cut, lift ur game. Hope this is constructive critisism.

The rump steak was so tough to eat but the ambience is good surrounded with good friends.

A handful of drunk and obnoxious women were attacking our girlfriends and you guys were incredible at defusing the situation. I’m a regular at the Battery House and the staff are the best on the beaches - thank you legends.

We had a birthday celebration last night at Battery House. At Saturday night, the place atmosphere is too ordinary nothing special going on...no live music and food is ok. Some staff were not friendly at the doors. Ironically, Battery House by historical name but not phone charger friendly. Luckily, I brought my own charger. But I was unlucky I left my phone charger and never recovered when I asked staff if someone handed it to them. At present, Battery House has no corner to charge your phone and no live music.

The seating/interior design etc is nice but the food is absolutely appalling. Our party ordered both the meat and veg nachos and both were revolting. Nachos are so easy to get right and yet these were absolute filth. We also ordered some burgers, again, disgusting. Our side order of chips was cold, and the aioli that we had to pay an extra $2.50 for was somehow sweet? All around extremely disappointing. It would have been overpriced if it was nice, let alone being that much and pure rubbish.

Has to be the worst place on the beaches for food. Got $25 parmi and everything was frozen. Chicken was cold Chips were cold too No flavour Hard as rock. Went back and gave them the feedback, and they replaced it with exact same rubbish! Pizzas were terrible as well. Save your money and dont buy food from them

Use to love the bar and restaurant but the quality has steadily declined over time. Today's meals felt like they had been taken straight out of a frozen packet and cooked ( including the pizza , chicken parmigiana and fries). It was a terrible meal. When you are paying over $50 for 2 basic dishes you expect decent quality. Every other restaurant at the RSL always has fantastic food. Unfortunately today we got sucked in by the vibe as the other bar was closed ( being a Tuesday) . Never again.

Unfortunately didn’t have a great time eating in at the battery house. While the entire rsl was extremely busy, the battery houses kitchen seemed to be struggling to keep up and maintain quality. All four of our meals, and two sides were stone cold - surprising when the meals took some time to come out I’m not sure if they just sat in the kitchen waiting to be sent out. My rare steak was borderline well done. Our meat lovers pizza honestly looked like an undercooked home made pizza made by a five year old. The final piece to battery houses shambolic evening was when I was told at the kitchen they had no more serviettes and to go around to the bars and ask.

The best sports bar on the Northern Beaches/Sydney/Australia. The chicken wings are also really good and cheap.

Refurbished eatery and sports bar inside the Dee Why RSL. Simple but good quality pub grub. Enjoy a feed and a beer whilst watching the footy on the mega main screen.

I reckon that if they want to sell food then they should consider actually acquiring the prerequisites for producing it

Many seating options, views of the telly and good pub feed. Come for socialising and the drinks (which is of pretty decent price if you're a DY RSL member) and stay for the pool (remember to bring a bunch of $2 coins for that in case your card don't tap well)
