About Us
Step back in time at the picturesque South Cronulla Bowling Club. The club was formed in 1954, opened its clubhouse in 1956, and still occupies the original building which retains much of its charm. A friendly atmosphere, no pokies, and a great location make it Cronulla’s best-kept secret.
Whether you are a competition, social, or barefoot bowler, or just looking for somewhere to bring the family for a quiet Friday night meal, you will love the retro ambiance of South Cronulla Bowlo.
Opened in 1956, the South Cronulla Bowling Club has changed little and still retains a distinctly retro feel. Hidden away on the South Cronulla Peninsula, it is a meeting place and social center for many local families on a Friday night.

Great place to hire for a function.
I recently visited this club from my bowls club in QLD & they are true to their word, they are the friendliest club in the Shire.A big congratulations to Julie Grantham & all her volunteers on the wonderful job they do to make this such a successful bowls club.Well done!
Friendly place with live music. A big shout out to Olivia at the bar who'll look after you if you want a delicious pink lemonade.
Barefoot lawn bowls day there. Great day. No food served there though so do in between meals. Kelvin at bar was run off his feet but was very accommodating.
Popped in for a beer after a wedding in a local park. Was waiting for a taxi. One of the older staff members sat with us for a chat, which was fine and then he left us. After a few mins he returned and asked if we were waiting for a taxi and said a 'Paki' was waiting outside. After pulling him up on that, he doubled down and said 'what else could a paki be but a taxi driver'. We left disgusted and won't be back.
This is a hidden gem and it's like a step back in time. Cheap beers and great food trucks. The staff here are amazing and so friendly
Very friendly staff. We had a work function and there was a memorial also. So they were really busy about 100 people I'd say. But they smashed it
Great day for a bowl

Great service outstanding friendly bowlers wonderful place to go for family fun Friday evening very very welcoming
Old style club (without the pokies). The bowling green is beautifully maintained. Fun place for barefoot bowls.
Great friendly club country atmosphere
A great cosy old fashioned club for quiet chats and drinks with friends.
Love this place. Old world charm and prices and the food on Friday night's is great. Great little hidden gem in South Cronulla. Especially love the sing along with Noelene
Very friendly staffs. Nice and clean common areas
This old-style bowling club (completely voluntary) have made it a great community asset for South Cronulla. Food and beverage prices are reasonable and the place's family friendly ambience is very hard to beat.
Very helpful and friendly. A great place for a family get together and bare foot bowling.
Great little club. Staff are friendly and are great with kids.
Proudly run by local volunteers. Nice friendly atmosphere.
Iconic little club enjoyed by the locals. Friday nights are fun.
Local bowling green. Made very welcome by all.
Nice sing along and atmosphere
Everyone very friendly and great place for party. Friday night meals very good and barefoot bowls great fun
Great little club for small gatherings or bare foot bowls parties. The club is very unique and comfortable with a 50's feel to the decor and surrounds. Friday night is the big social night with catering now supplied by JD's of Cronulla so the food is consistently good, usual pub style food - cottage pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash etc. They also have a cook your own steak option available. Meals are reasonably priced and they have cheap kids meals as well. Atmosphere is fun and it closes at 10:00pm so if you are going, make the most of it and go early. There are 6 beers on tap, plenty of bottled brews and a reasonable wine list. All in all, a fun night out with friends or colleagues if you enjoy a step back in time" type atmosphere. It really does have the feel of a little club somewhere down the south coast."
Food terrible but veiws and drinks are great.
How could i not love it i got married there.
Great place for a get together or reunion. A hidden gem ... highly recommended
Their friday night BBQ is fantastic good quality meat and a great range of salad and vegetables but you have to get in early as they tend to run out of food
