If you are looking for a good time and a place to vibe with absolutely no one to bother you this is the spot the staff is 10/10 and the drinks have some of the best prices I've seen.

A very good Pub,have eaten hear on a few occasions and have enjoyed the staff and the great food and cold beer. If I had one advice, we do not always wont Chips or a Bland Green Salad. You have a fantastic Asian (Thai) Salad that you serve with the Salt and Pepper Squid, please offer as a option as an extra to order with any meal.

Just there for lunch today at the upstairs Verandah Restaurant. Excellent service from our waitress, Bree. My wife and I both had the stonegrill 200gm wagu rump steak and the white chocolate and raspberry blondie. Both of which were very nice. Also thanks to Amy and Kerry for their *excellent email communication leading up to our booking and visit.

3rd time attending an event at The Veranda Bar, 2 of which we hosted and every time it was flawless! Communication prior to the event was top notch with emails responded to promptly and everything was streamlined. The venue itself has a laid back vibe, with the option of having the window and roof open to let in some fresh air and sunshine! The service and attention to detail was flawless! Nothing was ever too hard for the staff and they were always so accommodating! Always had a smile on their face which added to the vibe of our events. And now the food, absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Cheeseburger spring rolls have been a must have at all events, as were the wagyu sliders! Overall we have had nothing but great experiences here and couldn’t recommend the team more highly to anyone who wants to hold a private or even corporate event here. You’ll be well looked after!

Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Cocktails were pretty nice also. Staff were always checking up on you to Wether you needed anything and how's it all going. Was overall a great experience.

Great place for food and drinks. Staff are exceptional. Only fault is that they open up all the doors, front and back, even when it is so windy outside. Makes it very uncomfortable as the wind blows inside and it can be quite cold. We have often had to ask to please close the doors. Otherwise a great meeting place.

Looks great last time I was at the Strathmore was 30 years ago.

Beware the FLIES. I have never eaten in a place which has so many flys buzzing around me whilst trying to eat in an indoors space. It actually made me sick and had to leave, leaving my unfinished food and untouched drink. The front doors are wide open and exposed to the outdoor street dining area, which is an invitation for flys to enter the indoor dining area. Not to also mention, the Kitchen is also open and visible from inside. Imagine whats going on in the kitchen, if the flies are freely and openly buzzing around in the dinning area. Can i suggest to the owners to Install automatic opening and closing sliding doors, so people who want to eat indoors can have a fly free meal and those who dont care, can sit outside with their fly friends. Think of dirty Louie the fly, spreading germs from tip to food.

Extraordinarily bad experience...no lift to 1st floor dining with prices at a level only people who need a lift can afford...they stuffed that up in the renovation...also completely ineffectual A/C...just bloody hot...management must notice...saw enough of them wandering around...food overpriced...and ordinary...looked good on paper...execution zero...saving grace was excellent waitress...the place is a mess...

Really quite nice!. Just two doors up from our hotel (Oaks) hubby had a stone grilled rump (thurs night special) which was a first time experience and he loved it, lovely cut and tasted beautifulwith his chips and salad. He also chose a mushroom sauce. I just had a bowl of chips as I had a late lunch. Couple of beverages and then a play at the pokies with a cuppa. We'd go again and you can also eat upstairs or alfresco. * Stone grill rump for anyone else not familiar is where the 250g rump comes out on a piece of 400⁰c hot slab of stone. You turn it to seal in flavour as you go and basically cook and turn to your desired blue, rare, medium rare, medium all the way to well done. Your in control.

Jack was unpleasant and made my friend and I very uncomfortable don't like him at all in my opinion you need a new manager.

The place was nice and modern, food came quickly. However, the lettuce was mouldy .and gave me food poisoning that night. I also asked for a glass of water with lime but quickly got shut down and told to go to the tap for water. I understand it saves the workers time but It shouldn't be impossible to get a glass of water with some lime from a bar, it's the most basic drink

The service was really good. I had the fish and chips. It had the appearance of a generous serve. However, after peeling off the thick layer of batter, I found a very small piece of dry fish inside.

Absolutely great. Fast service. The food was delicious. My partner had a steak brought out on a hot plate so he basically cooked it himself. Loved it. Very loud in there but that's pretty normal these days. Will definitely be returning

Had dinner at the Veranda restaurant upstairs. Well worth booking in and experiencing it.

As a large group who travelled from interstate, I was pleasantly surprised I could book in 30 people on short notice. The lady taking our booking was lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the positivity stopped. We lined up for drinks, service was very slow and the staff had terrible customer service skills. Not a single smile, very abrupt and no manners. We then lined up to order food. Again, slow service and the staff really didn't seem happy to be there. We had 3 tables in our group. Two tables received their food in reasonable time (the restaurant was very busy). They had all finished their meals and one whole table was still waiting. After speaking to multiple staff members, who were again quite dismissive, we were eventually given a bunch of excuses when quite clearly our order had been forgotten. After a time, two random meals turned up that we didnt order. Eventually our food arrived over an hour and a half after ordering, by then many of our group had left as they had children and it was getting late. The food was OK, but expensive for what it was. So unfortunately, not a great experience all round. We have another group to feed later in the week. We were planning on going to the same place but we will be finding somewhere else now.

We enjoyed the food and service on New Years Eve. It was very busy and loud which was expected as there were so many people. The staff coped very well and was so helpful. We enjoyed the food so much. We'll be back next NY.

Attended for a work Christmas function. The food tasted fantastic, the place was busy and loud (as you'd expect on the last Friday evening before Christmas with big bash cricket being hosted nearby), service was alittle slow, in part because it was so busy, but overall the service was good. Would definitely go again.

Good but not great, we had the Pork Belly and Scallops as starters and the lamb and stone grill rump for mains. The Scallops were great, the Pork Belly looked like it was cooked, cut and then cooked again. This left the pork dry on the outsides which was disappointing. The stone grill was nice and was something different. Once you get the hang of it, its quite a nice way to eat steak. The Lamb was slightly tough and again like the Pork Belly, it was slightly disappointing. Service was nice, would I come back? Probably not.

Food was good. But you need to take note of what people ask for when they book. I asked for a table not in the middle of the room and that's where we were seated. The first time I had been here for a meal plus it was also for a birthday celebration...

The verandah dining at the Strathmore is a delightful experience. The staff there display a high level of customer service, no matter what you order the food is always above expectation. If it was within my means I would dine here every night of the week. Hands down my favorite spot.

Good food, good service

Walking by, and saw Happy Hour was until 6pm. Lined up with the Happy Hour menu in hand, and a minute to go. Staff served at exactly 6pm and refused Happy Hour price. Walked out.

We had our office Christmas party at the Strathmore on Friday night, the second year in a row. The food was excellent as was the service. The only thing that wasn't 100% was the level of background noise! Bit too loud for our group.

Entree and main came out within two minutes of each other. By the time we got round to main it was cold. Schnitzel was very over cooked. I have had footy club schnitzels taste better. The cardboard box it arrived in would have been better. Staff were reluctant to clear table. Plates piled up all around us. I know it’s a busy place but casino across the road is much better. This is not a place I will eat again. Waisted money and only ate half meal. I have had 30 years working in a kitchen and this place is very poor for service and quality. I know why you have to pay when you order.

We love the Strathmore and always use them for entertaining our clients on trips to Adelaide. It's the perfect spot for a beer, some great food and a catch up before the cricket, footy, golf or LIV Golf!! We will continue to use the Straithmore as our number one function spot in Adelaide. The staff whole team always take care of us and couldn't be easier to deal with. Thanks again!!! The whole Fairway Golf Tours Team!!!

Staff are friendly and efficient. Food was great. Acoustics are not good. When it's crowded, it's hard to hear people talking.

We were heading to the theatre and only booked the night before but rewarded with a balcony table . From the minute we were shown to our table we received top service with a smile from the cocktail trolley to the food and drinks waiters , one of them who has worked there for 22 years !! . So the owners must look after the staff . We were assured that because we were off to the theatre that our meal choices will be actioned quickly . They were and our I fillet steaks were the best we’ve had for years . It’s refreshing to get such reasonably priced quality of food in what we expected to be a pub meals venue . Drinks reasonably priced and a good wine list choices . All in all a great experience and we will be back .5 stars

We dined with friends in Verandah restaurant. Great menu choices, food was excellent as was service, very welcoming & attentive, but not intrusive. We had a terrific evening, thourghly enjoyed our night. Will return.

A busy place

Great dinner on the Verandah - we had the lamb arancini and the courgette flower starters, both delicious & beautifully presented. For mains we had the seafood hot stone - cook it yourself - which was good value & fun to do! Fries were really good, onion rings too. Then affogato and the blondie for dessert. Service from Isabel was faultless 😍

Food is typical for a pub, just wish they would have an option for eye fillet steak with their stone grill. There is a good selection of drinks.

Enjoyed lunch on the balcony today. Maree and Christine both lovely. Christine made our day and the food and dessert were beautiful.

It took way to long to get our dinner order in as the waiter and waitresses were too busy chatting amongst themselves we actually had to call one over. Othe customers who came in later already had their food served. Not a great menu to choose from.
