We were a large group of 25 and the food came out fairly quickly and was delicious. Great service among the chaos of the kids, always an enjoyable experience.

The lady that showed us to the table was very respectful of our situation.

(17.02.2025) Tonight our family came to Boronia Hotel to celebrate my son's five year old birthday. Overall we had a good time and kids enjoyed their meals. My husband said tonight's steak was the nicest one he has ever had. I ordered a starter which cost $17 including a few pieces of pita bread, two different kinds of dips and some olives. The food was average and overpriced. I also ordered a stir fried Asian veggies. It was appetizing and reasonable price.

It was cold where we were seated, the Parma wasn't very big, the meals have shrunk.

Great service. Even checked how food was at table. Great atmosphere. Just the veg salad last time was 95% potatoes and no other veg. Would also be nice to have a few veg on kids meals.

Had lunch at the Boronia Hotel with a group of thirteen. Food was good, staff were friendly and helpful and overall a very pleasant outing.

Ordered 4 meals. 2 adults & two kids. Both adult meals and 1 child meal came out. Parma not the hottest to begin with. After more than 5 minutes of child’s meal still not coming out I had at ask for our meals to be taken back so they didn’t become even colder. Another 5 minutes later all meals bought out. Parmas were barely warm. Disappointed as the taste was definitely there. Over $80 for barley warm food.

I ordered the margarita pizza based on the picture on their app that you order off, it looked amazing with melted pieces of mozzarella, it didn’t look like this at all! Just looked like a basic margarita pizza. It was still ok, but was just expecting it to be a little more like the pic!

We went in for my daughters birthday dinner with the family and the team were fantastic. When the meals came out we were waiting on 2 more for only about 4mins but they offered a free dessert for the wait. We were fine waiting and didn't find it overly long but appreciated their promptness. Have come here a few times as the kids love the playground and will eat the kids meals.

Needs a few more meals

Over the Christmas period l visited the gaming rooms, l found plenty of choices for machines and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the service great in particular was a young man named Aiden who was very helpful and always busy cleaning up empty glasses. The experience was great and will go back again.

We were so excited to have a lunch for my son’s 10th birthday yesterday, and had a large group booking. Everything was wonderful and the manger Jo is outstanding. Thank you for the great food, facilities, and the smiley staff!

Ordered four drinks and has one was a cocktail they said they would bring it over. They totally forgot about it. had to get the manager to sort it out. The meals are normally reasonable. But on another occasion They totally Messed up by sending my meal to another table. Then when it did finally come, it was wrong.. They did refund for that meal. Just generally find the staff a bit below average. I wasn’t really going to complain, but they text me to ask me how my service was So I decided to make this post.

The team at Boronia Hotel were lovely! 17 of us (7 kids) for a 70th bday lunch and they made sure it was easy and enjoyable. We asked to be able to see the kids play area from the table which was accommodated no problem. Kids area is huge and kept kids entertained the entire time. Food was good and didn’t take long to reach the table. Highly recommended for a family gathering with kids!

Really impressed with the food here when we ate as a family group last night. Beautifully cooked and meals well presented. Generous kids meal sizes and the kids spag bol smelt divine from the other end of the table! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service a teeny bit slow but I suspect there was a staff shortage issue. Remaining staff lovely and very apologetic. Will definitely be back! We were very happy with the experience!

Went to have lunch here on boxing day with the family. I had chicken schnitzel with salad and chips.very tasty.All enjoyed the lunch, good time all round👍😃👍

Found it hard to get served at the bar, staff were concentrating on serving kids drinks and ice creams.. I had to walk and wait in the pokies to get served which was not ideal when I was supervising children in the playground.

We had a booking of 12 and it was a mixed bag in terms of service and food quality. Let’s start with the service. 1. I tried on 2 phones to join the Frisbe rewards to get a discount on my meal and it didn’t work. I told the cashier and she rudely told me there was nothing she could do and I’d have to pay full price. 2 I ordered a kids meal but was not provided with the vouchers for the drink and ice cream 3 another parent in our party didn’t get her 2 lots of vouchers also 4 the same parent put the order through but one meal was put through incorrectly. The meals 11 of the 12 meals were delicious. One was almost edible. The pork belly was nice but the rice was just a bit rubbery block. We asked for more rice which never came. Izzy who serviced us was fantastic. She was so lovely and so helpful. All in all a mixed bag

Overall pleased with the experience. Despite being polite & nice when ordering, I felt the girl taking the order could have been less robotic and sensed she didn’t want to be there. This somewhat put a dampener on things. It wasn’t overly busy so I don’t know what the issue was. Will be back tho.

The table I booked for 14 was not put together I ended up doing most myself. I was told they had had a busy lunch. Two of our meals were incredibly late with no apology given. A hot chocolate had to be chased up and so did coffees later. We fine at the hotel regularly for lunch and this has not happened before it was disappointing as our Christmas break up.

Food as always was great! However the wait staff were very rude and impatient. They were annoyed when I said I had received the incorrect order when I could show the receipt.

Food pretty awful. Won’t be back. Incorrect orders. Pork Belly soggy and the rice overcooked and stodgy. Really disappointing. Pizza like cardboard. Busy but that shouldn’t mean poor quality.

I had my daughter’s birthday celebrated here. Food was really good for the kids specially the ice cream cake. They provided balloons and goodie bags as well which was really good. The downside was that the face painting was only done for a very few kids instead of 15. The function room was very hot inside specially with the kids coming from playing. Service was good though Lucy and her colleague was very nice and tried to accommodate our needs well.

The temperature at this venue is freezing.. when enquired about this was treated like an idiot and told “that they cannot adjust as it affects the machines and staff get hot” .. tell that bullshit to a aircon technician … rude staff .. we left and take our bucks elsewhere..

Food & service were fantastic. The restaurant was very busy, loud and felt we were packed in. A booth near the bar would have been less loud and more enjoyable. A bad experience unfortunately for my daughter in law with our 2 1/2 yr grandson in the amazing play room. Kids were unsupervised and going feral. She was hit in the chest missing our grandson head by centimetres by a random flying ball.

Our first time here - went there to celebrate my daughter birthday and food was amazing and also the staff . Play area was also amazing for kids to play, they definitely enjoyed it. We will be back ☺️

The food was shockingly awful. Don’t waste your money. Now I understand why it’s not as busy as it use to be so very disappointing . The service on the other hand was great.

Last night I had the displeasure of dining at this hotel which I must say was a complete departure what I've previously experienced at the same venue. I ordered the spaghetti marinara, at a cost of $32. Whilst it was very tasty, it was a very small serve the clams/pippies were extremely small (about the size of the fingernail of my little finger). Moreover, while there were 3-4 mussel shells on the plate none of them contained any mussel meat. I used to enjoy this dish as one of my go-to's but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone while the current chef/management are in place. Extremely disappointing and I doubt that I will return (after 40 plus years of patronage).

Great family environment Except last vist my grandson's 3rd birthday, My 82 year old mum ordered her meal first ( a pizza 🍕) Before everyone else on our table, And had to watch everyone else have their meal and even finished, Before we advised staff and she was the last to eat on her own 🥺

Celebrating a milestone birthday with extended family. Plenty of space, staff attentive without being intrusive, overall an excellent venue for our needs on the day. If we lived locally, we would be happy to eat here regularly.

Service people were on their phones when I had been waiting 30 minutes for some cold mac and cheese

They have security who sit inside the gaming room and don’t venture outside whilst scooters and bikes are disappearing right under their noses. Next it will be cars and people being robbed. Also reluctant to be proactive in regards to footage being sent to police

Couldn't figure out how to use qr codes but ordering at the bar was easy and food/drinks came out fast. The girl who took my booking over the phone sounded a but rushed or distracted but I'm sure that was bad luck and she got caught in a rush. I wish I caught the name of the girl who ran our food and cleared the table because she was lovely. We were on table 13 at around 7-8:30pm monday night, if you were one of the people running food and drinks around that time, thank you for your lovely service.

Good local hotel, gaming room, disabled parking, wheelchair access, great for families. Good food but service can be a bit haphazard if it is busy.

Food has progressively gotten worse, for the low quality of food it is incredibly expensive.

Had a table of 15. All parmas were dry, burnt on the edges. Staff replaced meals. Quick service after order. Pretty expensive for the quality. Kids loved the play area.

I was given a kids meal (Hawaiian pizza) instead of main menu pizza. Parmesan cheese on the Mac and cheese was very overpowering

Food portions, servings and flavour perfect! Much prefer the QR ordering; means we don't wait in queue and can continue enjoying our family's company and drink prices quite reasonable. Service is friendly. Atmosphere is good, not overcrowded.

The service was non existant. Waiting to be seen to our table for 8 mins. By this time 5 other groups were behind us. Long line for drinks, by the time I got to order drinks they had run out of wine glasses then forgot to bring my wine when they had more glasses My meal arrived awhile after my table (5 people) i asked for sauce. It never arrived. So disappointed. Need more competent staff. But the food was great couldn't fault any of it.

Favourite place to celebrate my grandchildren’s birthday, twice in a different year. Big factor is the play area. Can cater big groups. Good service. Staff always wearing their smiles. Variety of a delicious foods to choose from and nicely presented. With fun filled environment.

Thank you boronia hotel for being open and close by, delicious food and the people made my night with the atmosphere and the bartender Aiden was kind and respectful. Great customer service and all round great venue!

Great service and very quick

I have been here a few times and never had a problem. The staff are good & the food is nice. Everytime I have come here I have had something different and I have been happy.
