Great friendly service as always. Being a repeating customer of Jacks Bistro mainly on Saturdays, their wait time for a table is short if any. This also reflects on the wait time for meals being order to meals being delivered to table. Impressive. Food is always enjoyable & very well presented & the portions served are just right. One grip I have is the bar is small & only has one pay point, which means you have to step over people to pay for drinks & sometimes customers also ordering drinks may not move from that pay point area, which can be annoying. And if the Bar is busy you can wait longer then you need or should have to to be served. One suggestion I have voiced to help with this, is if the first round of drinks be taken when ordering meals & perhaps delivered to the table? This will help with the congestion & streamline the flow of customers movements with drinks back to their tables or returning to tables with meals already waiting? Other then that, I recommend Jack's to all locals & visitors

I'm sorry, but your meals are too expensive even as a Senior. Earning only $400 a week Seniors can not afford your prices

Played in their Autumn Pairs tournament and was fantastic. Great Tournament organisers and communication. Lunch was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed visiting Monbulk Bowls Club and greens were great!

Lovely new refurbishment bright and light and fresh and inviting. Had a nice table overlooking greens. Excellent service by waitress she was friendly and took our order within a quick succession. Drinks waitress also friendly. Food was delicious and fish tasted fresh had fish and chips which were tasty and fresh. Delicous icecream dessert. Overall highly recommended

Amazing experience! Held a Christmas breakup at the bowls club and did barefoot bowls and dinner after at the bistro. Could not have asked for a better experience! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a special breakup. Upon arrival, our table was decorated with Christmas ornaments, the bowls staff were incredibly helpful and gave us a quick lesson before starting bowling. After bowling, the waiters were so kind and attentive, and the food was fantastic! There were children in the group and they even had some kids packs for them to play with at the table. Would highly recommend!

Monbulk Bowls Club is a great local sporting facility with very good clubrooms and facilities. They also have a very good bistro.

Parma night isn’t Parma night if you only have one choice

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. This is my by far my family and Is absolute favourite restaurant in the whole of Yarra ranges 💚🌳The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted and full with any meal! The waiters and staff are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat whether it’s a quick bite to eat or a big family occasion, this is definitely the place to go.

Usually have a meal once a week. Wednesday param, Thursday burgers or full menu on Friday always a good meal and full menu has something for everyone staff are great and prices are very reasonable, seniors meals are good value

Awesome food

Many visits of the past 4 weeks whilst visiting friends and also last year. Good prices for drinks, meals are very good value and without being outstanding I had no complaints at all. Great friendly staff, always service orientated. Didn't visit the minor pokie palace downstairs but upstairs area not always open so needing to go downstairs to get drinks is annoying at times. Not sure there is a solution to this though as it is a bowling club and demand upstairs is limited until after bowls is complete.

Had salt and pepper calimari Yummy 😋 and fantastic service, two guys on the next table had steaks, they looked very nice, they said later when I asked them how good it was, I had a couple of glasses of Stella. With my meal 😋

Awesome place! We had my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary at the Monbulk Bowls Club yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. The event was organized incredibly well by the staff. On the day the waitresses were friendly and professional and the food was amazing (compliments to the chef). My parents and all the 90 guests loved it. Super fun, great indoor and outdoor area (and for a very reasonable price). Highly recommend this place for an event or a delicious bistro meal 🙂

The first thing I want to say is the staff are absolutely lovely, but unfortunately, that's where it stops. Basic cleanliness and capabilities with the food and beverage experience are not here and really need some 101 education.

Great local spot for a good feed. Nice ambiance, but the live music can be a bit too much some nights. If you like it loud, you’ll love it. If you want to enjoy a conversation with family and friends with some background music you’ll struggle. I’ve been going here for a number of years and can’t fault the food or the service. Best salt and pepper calamari in the hills.
