We had our Annual General Meeting of the “Bridgetines in Melbourne” yesterday. The staff were very supportive, courteous and friendly. A special mention of Frazer - looked after us very well. The food was yummy but the presentation (sandwiches) could have been better I guess.

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday in the Jewel room last Saturday 11/01. Cloe was so helpful in the planning, explaining where tables will be placed, platters with GF and vegetarian options, DJ, photo booth, etc. Emails were an easy way to finalise everything after our meetings. On the night, Gemma, Frazer and Amy took the utmost care of us and our guests. They were extremely hospitable, fun and accommodating. Thank you so much for your hard work, guys! It was definitely an evening to remember.

I recently had one of the worst customer service experiences with a staff member named Coco at this establishment. When I politely inquired if they sold mocktails, her response was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. She rudely replied “We only sell alcohol.” The tone and attitude were completely uncalled for and left me feeling disrespected as a customer, the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism in her response was shocking. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to this place. Customer service plays a huge role in any business, and this interaction demonstrated a complete disregard for it.

Friendly staff and elite service

We came here for lunch with our 2 girls (1yr and 2yrs). Staff were very accommodating with high chairs and a kids menu. We ordered and the kids meals came out promptly followed by our mains, which we were able to enjoy because the kids were busy easy (IYKYK) We ordered the kids chicken and chips and vegies and then we had burgers and roast of the day. All food was delicious and portion sizes were great. The girls also had some ice cream with sprinkles to finish and were very happy! We ordered drinks at the sports bar and the staff encouraged us to download an app to get drink discounts, which was a bonus.

Took my family here for dinner. Everything was great. Food was delicious and staff were very friendly.

Worst food and worst service ever! When we arrived, we first waited at the entrance for 5 minutes to be taken to the table, then we waited 40 minutes for the food to be brought to us! we ordered 2 portions for children, 2 for adults and 1 large Fries, only to have the Fries brought 10 minutes before they brought our portions! Also, the vegetables were not cooked, and the rest of the food was tasteless! The worst thing is that they charge 10% of the price of the food you ordered for the service!

Good place to go for a beer after being dragged around a shopping centre by your wife

We come here all the time but recently you have added an ambience smell and as an asthmatic l couldn't get out there quick enough. Headaches nausea not good for business

It was mostly an enjoyable evening. We had the upstairs function room for a footy presentation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only one issue was the meals, only complaint was the chicken was a little dry but when your serving out over 75 plates in a 15 minute time frame it's quite understandable

Great food

My wife and I ordered the Scotch fillet and the special karaage bao. Steak was tender medium rare and the karaage bao was very flavourful. TJ's service was above and beyond, you don't see people so personable in hospitality anymore. Loved it, thank you.

Lovely place

Monday 16 Sep. We have been regular patrons of the Fountain gate hotel when shopping , today meal was very disappointing the calamari in the prawn and calamari salad was inedible , the seniors meal was very small like a kids meal and not enjoyable doubt we will return

Just good pub food.

Quite disappointing, we ordered our meals at the counter instead of using the app. They took 50 minutes from the time we ordered them, and there wasn't much veg on the plate. We haven't been there in a few years & I don't think we'll go back soon.

The friendly bistro staff noticed our lemon lime bitters were not right, so he asked the bar staff to redo it. Good service , nice food . We had good time there.

We are celebrating our family's friend wedding celebration tonight. All the staff are so nice and accommodating and very friendly especially the bartender Dakota she has been so lovely and nice the entire night. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back ❤️

Dear Team, As a regular patron of your restaurant, I was looking forward to enjoying a delicious meal with a friend at lunch today. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues during our visit. First, my friend's chicken schnitzel was overcooked, burnt, and tough despite the new herb crumb. While your team kindly replaced it with lamb roast, I noticed a significant difference in the quality of the gravy used. Regarding my salmon fillet, I was surprised by its portion size for a $24 main—it seemed smaller than an entrée. Your portions are typically generous; I've even seen larger servings in your senior meals! I hope this was just an off day for your team. As someone with a barramundi allergy, I was disappointed that the staff couldn't confirm the contents of the battered fish and chips, despite their efforts. While they did confirm that the grilled fish was barramundi, the uncertainty around allergen information can be critical for customers like myself. Accurate ingredient information is crucial, especially for those with severe allergies to nuts, sesame, dairy, soy, and others, who could face serious consequences if not disclosed correctly. I understand the challenges in a shared environment, but clear and accurate communication is essential for customer safety. Lastly, I was disappointed to learn that Alaskan pollock has been removed from the menu, as it was one of the fish options I enjoyed. Salmon is another safe option for me On a positive note, the Lemon, Lime, and Bitters were delicious, and so were the coffee and berry cheesecake. Thank you for considering these points.

Great service, great food but can be inconsistent. Dining room can be a wind tunnel as it's right next to an auto door so everytime someone comes in you get hit with a Arctic chill, poor design but otherwise a good place for a good feed.

Great family restaurant and there is always something on the menu to please everyone. I would like to mention how impressed we were with Gemma’s customer service. It is really refreshing to see a younger person have such a lovely and professional manner.

I have been to fountain gate a few times and everytime I walk in I am pleasantly greeted with warm welcomes, one particular worker named Jemma is always so lovely and helpful, her bright smile and outgoing personality makes going here a positive experience.

Pokie machine is not good at all

This review is for their restaurant. Our usual badminton games and searching where for lunch. A friend suggested to meet here for lunch so we obliged. Service & Ambience [2.5]. Food is order at the counter and nothing fancy about the restaurant. Food [2]. Let's focus on their food. We had two different Parma and seems the only difference is one come with onion rings. The fries lack taste and not crispy. The pizza (see picture) has sauce all over, not fantastic. Burger 🍔 so so. For the price, it's not worth paying. The food portion is quite huge, it will make someone fill full but the taste.

The food was ok, got my order wrong even though the receipt stated what I wanted, it said BBQ meat lovers and got a Magerita pizza i mentioned it and mentioned price difference i said I would it because I wasn't waiting for another 15 or 20 for food when other food was served to the table they did offer a replacement pizza which I couldn't except, but the was ok id eat again. The staff were friendly enough.

Dakota at the bar gave the best service for a function for our orthodox Easter. Always good to have a person if understanding and respect serve you!

Only been to the pokies here, mostly because of the atmosphere, it just doesn't feel inviting to me, the tables in the bistro, kind of feel randomly placed there because there was nowhere else to put them, I have no idea what the food is like yet.

The kids were looking forward to heading out and having a nice meal out. While we normally like to head to a few other locations we decided to try this place out again. While they have a similar menu to the Hallam Hotel a couple of dishes were not as pleasant as normal. For the rest of the family they enjoyed what they had, which I was happy with. The Service from the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was enjoyable too. Thanks for your reply, I can't seem to reply to your post. I will email your team

Very rude service from the older lady working the bar downstairs. My friend and I came down to the bar from a function we were at upstairs and were told ‘I’m not serving ya kids’, although I just wanted a glass of water. Mind you my friend and I are 22. She turned her back to us and walked to the other side of the bar. Then security came up to us and said we are not allowed downstairs because we’re at the function upstairs. Despite there being no signage/information stating this and us both being 18+. Again, all I wanted was a glass of water. Really disappointing experience.

Having just spent 7 weeks in berwick fountain Gate Hotel brilliant lorraine n jane loved the pokies shame they didn't win see you next time les n Lorraine from England.
