Had an amazing dining experience, The Sunday Roast (Lamb Roast) was absolutely superb—tender, and perfectly complemented by the gravy and sides. The pasta was also gooood. A special shoutout for the recommended drinks—they were refreshing, beautifully presented, and the perfect addition to our meal. The ambiance is stylish, giving off a fancy vibe, but the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality of food and service. Definitely worth trying, Highly recommended! 💯

To be honest it was nothing special. It was quiet when we arrived which was nice but the food was nothing special and the service was slow. I had the steak sandwich which had no flavour, the chips were nice and hot and yummy so that was a plus. Overall a disappointing visit.

We called in for a beer on our way back from Brighton Beach. It was a quiet Monday afternoon. Service was fast and friendly.

We had an epic meal at Temperance Hotel. The scotch fillet steak was spot on👌🏽🔥—perfectly cooked to order, easily the highlight. The grilled salmon with avo salad was fresh and crunchy, and the roast chicken with mash was hearty comfort food done right 🍗🥔 Portions were solid and even the Margherita pizza was a hit with the kids. Great food, chilled vibes, and relaxing spot for a sunny afternoon catch-up. Highly recommend! 🍻

Waited for almost an hour for their beef burger but the burger buns were completely burnt. It was offered to be remade but after another 20 minutes I asked for a refund. They did not refund the surcharge

Located on chapel this pub offered special night on weekdays. I love the idea of parma night with different flavours “classic, Italian, Mexican and more” I tried all my favourite is the Mexican with Jalapeños, spicy, creamy, cheesy, taste so good. The size of the chicken is enough but I would love little bit more chips/cabbage and a bigger plate to be more comfortable to eat. As a regular customer I would like more consistency on the plate because sometimes if it was my first time I would probably not comeback unfortunately but I think it’s easy to fix. Overall the staff are friendly even if sometimes I have to go back to the bar because they forget my request. I hope the time I spent to write this review will be worth it and they will consider my advice. Bryan is very friendly and welcoming.

We had a great night at Temperance Hotel, the food was lovely and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was bouncing on Saturday night with a great DJ, and the staff were all fun and friendly, I would highly recommend it!

Always have a nice dining experience here in the dining area. The food is good and the staff are attentive.

First round we ordered the bartender spilled beers all over us and landed in my lap saturating me. There was also broken glass all over me which embedded in my shoe, he was wobbling with the tray on the way over and seemed like he was drunk when we ordered. He also laughed when apologising.

Good drinks and venue, was spacious. Jesse and Harry playing on the night got the party started.

Today we dined at the Temperance Hotel for lunch. This is not unusual for us, we absolutely love the food & atmosphere at the Temperance. The service is always great however today, the service was top tier. We were served by a young gentleman by the name of Zach. He was incredible in his position at the hotel. With his bubbly & approachable attitude, along with his ‘above & beyond’ attitude when working & addressing customers, he brought a vibe to our day that will carry on with us long after leaving the doors. Observing his hospitality techniques as well as his non stop hard work behind the bar while not busy with customers. He has added to what was already a great lunching experience, now it will be one that will be bring me back here on a regular basis & boast to my friends about.. to get them to regularly visit also. Thank you Zach, for being the push for us to secure The Temperance Hotel as our regular go to. Amazing Service :)

I wanna love this pub, good atmosphere and staff are great, but the food is terrible, they need to change their chef and they will be great, the last 2 meals I ate here I sent back due to being inedible

We went for a few drinks and ended up also ordering the chicken wings with BBQ sauce. They were SO moreish! 🫠 Delicious. Bartenders were so nice, easy going, remembered our orders (I don't drink beer and couldn't remember what people had or what different beers are so this was especially appreciated) Great pub

do NOT get the espresso martini,,, i know it’s $15 but it is NOT good. will make you sick. all the favours all taste as bad as eachother. everyone in our group that ordered one hated it and felt sick. chips are also so salty. all the staff are amazing tho!!

Fantastic hotel on Chapel Street. Food is delicious and good value. I was here for $20 Parma day (Tuesday and Thursdays) and they were great. The Lamb Shepherds Pie was unreal. Super friendly staff too

Ordered yummy starter, the Mac & cheese bites, followed by absolutely delicious vegetarian pizza ( crispy crust and all!). Shared the chicken and leek HOUSEMADE meat pie, scrumptious. The DJ started at 8:00 PM with good light vibe and not loud volume, which was appreciated as we sat right across from him 🤓

There was something about my visit, we had a chicken pizza, it was hot and felt homemade, there weren't many people it felt intimate, I had a tall glass of Carlton, it was chilled, crisp and clean, art on the roof got me looking up constantly, and the booths in the corner were cosy, where we sat, the music player that time was of good variety as well, you guys are a regular spot everytime we're in town, and never let me down, so 5 stars for you then, happy new year! 🎊🎊🎊

Dropped in spontaneously for a quick beverage and there was live music. Loved the venue vibes. And the live music was great. Would definitely go back again.

We came for Wednesday steak night and it was pretty good, although my partners medium rare was definitely closer to medium, and my medium was closer to well done. I still enjoyed it though. Chips and salad were really good! Come during happy hour to get slightly cheaper beersies too!

Haven’t visited for decades and loved the place for afternoon drinks. Spacious and well designed and good range of drinks and food.

Stopped in for the weekday lunch special. Always wonderful to find a $20 burger-and-fries that somehow rides the line between being uncomplicated yet still gourmet levels of tasty.

Sorry about that. Google went off in my pocket. The beer was great,the service was eleven out ten. We stopped in for a beer while waiting for the main event to proceed. We should have stayed. Next time.

Maddy was super bubbly and attentive at the bar, she let me know it was 3 mins until happy hour and asked if I wanted to wait until then. Thoughtful service like that means I will stay for another few happy hour beers!! Then Zac came along to make sure everything was sweet, which obviously it was. Pretty cute family culture they’ve got going on here. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re outside. 🐶🐶

Had parmas here for my partner's birthday, they made me a vegan eggplant parmigiana. Tasty, filling & reasonably priced.
