Came in for lunch today with my daughter and her friends ordered lunch but never came out together my daughter waited awhile before hers came out and by that time we all had pretty much ate ours . The fish and chips wasn’t the best the fish batter was soggy and the chips weren’t the greatest .the burger was said to be sloppy , first time we’ve been here and it was a try out but sorry we won’t be returning we ate at Bracegirdle’s on Wednesday the 26/2/25 .Thankyou

We come here with the kids every time we are in McLaren Vale. The chocolate fondou is a particular favourite and they make good coffee for the adults too.

Delicious choccys and brownie

I work in Mclaren Vale and one of my friends always raves about me trying out Bracegirdle’s for some time now, as they know how much I love chocolate and decedent/fancy foods and beverages. So I finally stopped in there today on my way home to study (thought, I’ll treat myself for some motivation). I walk in and was greeted by a nice young lady on the coffee machine with a big smile who said “hello how are you”? I responded with “good thank you, do you have some kind of extravagant iced coffee here?” (as it was a +30*) She said “what do you mean” I said “as in, an iced coffee with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce”. “No” she said. “We have an iced coffee with ice cream”… I was quite surprised by this as I thought Bracegirdle’s was a chocolate place. So I asked “what syrups do you have for your coffees?” And she said “none”. “We melt chocolate into them” which of course will instantly set and be undrinkable in an iced coffee. Dumbfounded I asked “do you have any other flavours for your coffees”? (Even though I Really wanted chocolate.) She said “we can melt caramel into them”. Which sounded alright, so I said “yes please” Well $12 later with no sizes to chose from (I wanted an extra large one lol) the weakest most flavourless coffee was served to me. In a large take away cup, with one scoop of ice cream and luke warm coffee that tasted half strength. Zero caramel flavour as well. I ended up driving home (3 minutes) added 2 ice cubes, extra ice cream, (as it had melted in the warm coffee by this point) made a coffee pod shot, added some chocolate and bam, some flavourful iced coffee was created. Sadly to say you can get a better iced coffee from the OTR. Breaks my heart to even type that. Praying they fix this by next summer. Must, must try and be happy with your product before serving. Their iced coffee recipe is not right at all and don’t think it’s been tasted by the owners/manager. As I’m sure they would have much brighter standards then what was served today..

The dessert looked so pretty, tasted delicious just a little too sweet for me 😅. But if only our dessert didn't take 45+ minutes to be plated from the display (as it was forgetten by staff), and after asking the staff how much longer is the wait, the wrong dessert was brought out in the end. Didn't feel looked after at all 😅, although we were one of the only 3 tables there.... customer service is really important to me and so this experience really disappointed me. Unfortunately, I won't be making a return visit, but I really do hope other customers have a better experience than I did 😅😵‍💫.

Service was great, I've been a bracegirdles fan for years but the mocha from there a few weeks back was yuck ended up binning it after a few sips. The chocolates were not fresh either.

If you have ever wondered how expensive Chocolate could be per gram, then Bracegirdle's at McVl would be a good place to start. A good selection of fancy and decorative indulgences that are very well made and taste wonderful. Although the chocolate is fairly dear, I don't believe the profits have been invested in procuring knowledgeable and passionate staff.

Asked for a chocolate milkshake. Came out as a chocolate milk, drink had clearly not seen a milkshake machine. Asked for the $10.50 milkshake including ice cream as ordered, came back out blended with ice, see picture. Would not return.

This cafe has won awards for its chocolate which by the way were yummy and worth trying, but they also have a great breakfast and lunch menu. There was no time restriction on the food so we were able to get lunch at 11. We tried the corn stack and the pulled lamb wrap which was full of flavour. There is free tap/sparkling water. The coffee was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is outdoor seating if you prefer. Definitely worth popping in if you are in the area.

Fantastic location, food and service! After our wedding in McLaren Vale, Joel and the team were super helpful in us hosting a day after brunch for us and our guest as most had travelled from our of state. It was perfect for the 50 or so people who attended over the course of 3 hours to enjoy brunch and catch ups after our big day. Highly recommend :)

The food was amazing! We loved the fondue! So many different chocolates to try as well. It also has a cute cubby house out the front for the kids to play in.

Far more than chocolate and desserts! Amazing breakfast and lunch food that is beautifully cooked with so much attention to detail. It's our new favourite place to have an all-day breakfast or lunch followed by awesome coffee and hot chocolate. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and all dietary requirements (including vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free) are very well catered for. Thank you!

How has it taken me so long to write a review for the best Chocolate House on the planet ? We've been coming to Bracegirdles McLaren Vale on a regular basis since before our daughter was born and she's 7 now ! They've seen her go from a pram to a high chair to now a small child getting her own drinks. We make a special trip from Morphett Vale each weekend to have our regular Mocha, Chai and kids Hot Chocolate (sometimes banana bread too) it's just that good, it's worth the drive each week. Even better than that is occasionally we'll have breakfast there also. The Bacon and Eggs is a generous size and it's always been delicious. The staff are always friendly and I feel like we're a part of the furniture there now. Which is lovely furniture actually. Old fashioned , home style decor, pleasant music and the food and drinks are the star of the show. The chocolate is amazing also. A lot of places in Australia do chocolate, a lot of them are frankly over rated, Bracegirdles is absolutely under rated. We'll continue to go there and get our drinks, light meals and breakfast most weeks for the foreseeable future, most likely up until and after our daughter can drive us there !!

The first staff member we came across wasn't welcoming but moving past her we were served by two friendly ladies. Lunch was good. The surprise here was the most incredible looking chocolates we'd ever seen. They also taste amazing. So delicious. Wish we'd bought more!

We always love the coffee in Bracegirdles. Always consistently top of the line. Creamy nondairy milk with superb beans. I ordered waffle with strawberries and bacon. Love love love it! No need for extra maple syrup! My husband ordered their big breakfast which was gone in a few minutes!

Found this amazing cafe in Maclaren Vale and stopped for breakfast. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere. We sat outside and some friendly birds kept us company. So cute! We ordered smash avo with bacon and the waffles. Both were amazing! The ambient music selection was perfect and not too loud at all. Just right. Highly recommend this cafe to everyone! You won’t find better in Maclaren Vale.

It was all lovely, a get together with my family, except for the loud, constant ringing of the phone!!!!

Very lovely environment, amazing chocolate, waffles, fruit, and frappes. The birds outside were also nice, helped me finishing my food when I was full!

Great food excellent sweets and great coffee.

Friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking at the back and off-street. Ample seating space indoors and outdoors. Good range of savoury dishes and delicious desserts. I personally found the waffle a bit too sweet but then again they wrote in menu that it's a sugar waffle so I guess that's that 🤷 😜. The strawberries were nice and fresh. Highly recommend them 👌.

Just had brunch here. I had the smashed pumpkin with poached eggs. Amazing flavors and a generous serve. Fantastic.

Took my mum here for breakfast for her birthday which she really enjoyed. There is seating inside or out. The food was delicious and generous portions. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Had a lovely brekkie outside . Table very wobbly needs fixing otherwise very good. 2nd visit. Quick lunch outside, had a veg roll, pumpkin, avocado etc, rather large roll which was overfilled with salad and avocado, unfortunately avocado was soft and gooey,rather like it came from a tube, not pleasant. Coffee was good.

We regularly visit Bracies in McLaren Vale - last visit we had the veggie Corn Fritter Stack. It was one of the best vegetarian meals I have ever eaten. I test out a lot of veggie menus, and this was a cracker. My dining partners had the vegetarian lasagne and they also enjoyed that. Lovely service too, for those of us with allergies.

I had the Vintage Breakfast, $26 absolutely UNREAL. Every part of it was amazing from the tomatoes to the perfectly poached eggs, the beans where seasoned so well, bacon was perfect. Definitely coming back and getting it again. Couple young boys working here, good on em, some shaky hands carrying coffees over but they’ll be right. Lovely outside area, inside was nice and air conditioned. Only thing I had a problem with was the music, just your generic over played vibe. Definitely get a nice playlist together with some fresher, alternative songs.

Love Bracegirdles! Food and drink are really nice as is the atmosphere. Indoor and shaded outdoor seating. Service was a little slow, but they did apologise profusely, so I'm guessing that's not normal. High recommend!

It was quiet for a sunny Sunday morning... sat under the pergola. Very friendly and welcoming team! Ordered 2 coffees and brekkie burgers. Came out fast! Delicious, with the relish giving the burger a bit of zing! Definitely will go again (before the weekend crowds arrive)

Stepping in to this beautiful cafe was like being welcomed into someone's home. The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere cosy and the food was sooo good! Highly recommend this one.

Excellent place for breakfast. We had a group of 30 on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago. The food was amazing and HUGE soooo much on the plate. Service was fantastic and the place was full. Lovely outdoor area front and back. Would 100% recommend you will not be disappointed.

I paid for bowl of chips to share with my partner and they never came. When I asked the staff about it, they assured me they were coming out but they never did. Utterly disappointed. Besides that little mess up, the food was alright.

Bracegirdles hosted us for a Baby Shower, and were so accommodating despite several group bookings on the same day. The food was great, service was so kind and we could bring our own decorations. Lovely afternoon

Stopped by on a Monday shortly before they were scheduled to close and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. The Shepards Pie was outstanding and my wife loved her veggie burger with a corn fritter. Chocolates and coffee were great as well. Thank you to the wonderful staff

The food was absolutely amazing and full of flavour, the sourdough bread that was served with my eggs Benny as if it was baked on that day, the eggs were cooked to perfection also the hollandaise sauce was the perfect amount of zest. The atmosphere was very welcoming as soon as you walk through the doors and absolutely amazing decor as well. All their staff were very friendly and welcoming, I would 10/10 recommend this place if your looking for a nice feed and/or coffee

This coffee shop is basically a chocolate lover's paradise! They've got so many types of chocolate; it's like a dream. From your usual favorites to some fancy, out-there choices. Pair that with awesome coffee, and you've got a sweet combo that's too good to pass up. Seriously, if you're into coffee and chocolate, this spot is a must-try!
