Ate upstairs, lovely spot and good food

A very cosy local pub in the heart of Paddington.

My first time back at the Bellevue in 5 years - omg what a disappointment. No dairy free options for kids, no allergy menu, all they could make for my daughter was plain pasta with a can of chopped tomatoes thrown on top, I ordered a schnitzel and the chicken was still raw in the middle 🤢, I told the barmaid but no refund was offered. The place feels so run down since I was last there. Just yuck from start to finish!!!

I just had a very very unpleasent experiance with the staff and people there are rude and agresive, defenitly not coming back after the way i was treated. Managment was just mean to me as a costumer.

Arrived at 11:01pm and was told the venue was not accepting more people past 11:00pm, despite the pub being half empty. I had organised to meet a group of interstate mates, who were all at the venue waiting for me to arrive. Of course, a group of three women who arrived a minute after me were allowed entry. The lack of awareness of the security guard (and management, if they had instructed to cut off entry at 11:00pm) was unbelievable. To enforce an arbitrary 11:00pm cut off is absolutely bizarre, and to make someone feel like a criminal for simply wanting to sit in a pub with his mates is even more ridiculous. Will never be back.

Lovely staff. Such a shame the food was so bad. The burger was so small and the chips were terrible, cheap, small and cold.

Maddy is an absolute star.

Usually come here for meals and this was the worst experience. My steak was ordered well done and arrived twice undercooked (more medium). The bar staff agreed and returned it. I was disappointed as the same piece was cooked twice over and it tasted horrible. The wine and service was good including the vibe, however it was a waste of money on the main.

Awful meal. Avoid meal specials, went for the fish and chips on a Monday, the chips were cold and the fish was dry, thin and tough. No salad or garnish, it looked very unappetising served up, and a much smaller portion than people who ordered off the normal menu. Server was miserable and rude. Will not be going here again.

I would leave a 0 star rating if I could. The food is terrible, service is worse. Go to the Four in Hand, they are consistantly good.

Had a fantastic experience here today. Sunday roast in the afternoon. Top meals and service. Excellent atmosphere. And a spicy margarita. As well as crispy potatoes and steak. Definitely coming back!

Avoid meal specials. Schnitty night serves up an oversized kids meal with over cooked, dry schnitzel (thickly crumbed) and fries. No salad and no garnish. The mushroom sauce on the side is more like gravy with a couple of mushroom bits thrown in. One star goes to the meal being served warm. Such a shame for a pub that could be a great local.

The food was disgusting it all appeared to have been microwaved. There were 8 of us eating and everyone agreed they will never be back.

Moved from Melbourne at the beginning of the year and would come here fortnightly for their Parma - I'm not sure what happened since May/June but we came back a second time to see if it was just an off night and no! Bland, under-seasoned crust on what tasted like frozen chicken then a mingy circle of ham, meh Napoli sauce and bland cheese. What's going on, team?! Chef change? Please go back to the old recipe!

7:45pm and bistro closed. It's a joke. No dinner, no bar food option. Just told too bad. This is way too early to close a bistro. Very dissatisfied with this. They need to do better than this

Very enjoyable pub lunch - nice atmosphere but a shame that the restuarant that used to be at the back is now a sports bar - sign of the times, perhaps?

Upstairs is delightful, sunny and modern. We were there for happy hour but that was just for schooners! A bit limited! The steak frites special seemed OK at a bisual level. The chicken schnitty was a bit dry, and chips were meagre in terms of quantity. But overall, we liked the ambience and if we were in that vicinity again, would likely visit the Bellevue!

First time there.... a good old local pub. Although tried the pokies and the AC was off...not sure if that was a deterrent by design, or just some maintenance that was needed

Rip off! 100% Paying for an expensive schnitzel that was about the size of actual leftovers! If was a joke, looked like a kids meal. We also ordered the burger which arrived very late and it was burnt. I only took the photo of the bread since we were too hungry, but I can comfortably say that we will never go back. And that's me with my group of 8. Food sucked big time!

One of the workers were vaping at the bar, inside. Then hid it from the manager when he came.

No complaints. Easy going afternoon. My partner wanted a coffee and the bar man made her a special cup of his French press. Good man. No charge. It was a Wednesday.

Sorry guys, but having only one vegetarian dish in the mains and then saying its unavailable because the chef had no pasta... (flour and eggs guys!) No table service in upstairs restaurant but then no open bar in upstairs made for a very dry meal! Times are tuff with little hospitality staff atm but be careful not to ruin your past good reputation. Perhaps close upstairs restaurant when you don't have enough staff or produce. And less meat more vego/pesco friendly menu would be more on trend

On behalf of a dear friend, The Bellevue understood the mission by handing over a beautiful steak knife. Good portion of shoestring chips, well cooked cheese (note the crisp golden edging), Nice thick schnitzel with admittedly good quality ham (despite being above the cheese).. My findings are that this is a good parmy with a 7/10 rating. Areas for improvement: Need to cut the vegetables finer and add some string carrot to the mix. Need a slight splash of generic dressing on the salad. Fine service and only short of perfection because pobody's nerfect!

Great little pub in Paddington with great atmosphere and great cold beer. Upper level is really nice and a great place to have a meal.

Going Backwards

Honestly one of the best all round pubs I've visited, went on a Sunday with a few mates and got the Roast special, incredible and good portion size. The wings were also an easy top 3, not too spicy but just right. Great atmosphere and filling and hearty meal, will likely visit again

Beef burger is delicious. Served with crunchy French fries. Whilst the craft beer range is limited, the not-so-crafty-anymore Balter XPA was on tap and fresh, cold, and good enough to enjoy a few.
