Great food, friendly staff and service. We ordered duck and papaya salad - great flavours and serving size. The brisket is a winner also, fall apart tender and flavourful. We will definitely be back.

Great club to catchup with family & friends

I was very disappointed as l was so excited to dine there for the first time. I ordered the karage chicken burger (but that was not karage. ..it was just fried chicken) l have had authentic karage and you weren't even close. The coleslaw was drowning in Mayo and was sloppy, no crunch, a kid could have made that. My chicken was raw which was one generous piece, when l showed the waitress she said 'oh no that's bad, I'm so sorry do you want a refund?' I said no l just want my chicken cooked thanks. 15 mins later when the replacement burger came out it was small chunks cut into pieces to check to see if it was cooked, it was dry and overcooked. I left half of it and the plate went back 2/3s full. To charge $24 for a plate of inedible food is pretty poor. I will not return. My client enjoyed her chicken snitzel just to end on a positive.

We hosted mum’s 80th at this club and it was just sensational. Hats off to the function manager Rod Darnett who did an exceptional exceptional job. I highly recommend this club for events. Outstanding service and wonderful value for money with high-quality food.

Meals always arrive pretty quickly. Food is usually good. I just find it annoying they have specials that can only be used if you go on the app. Why have it if not everyone can buy it. Not Everyone has a phone and is app savvy. I also a young guy at the bar where they make the cocktails to be so rude. I asked him about a cocktail. In the end I chose another one. He was thin with wavy hair.

Roast was good for a senior lunch time meal, outside seating was terrific and to bring the dog in a pram was great!

Unfortunately the club has really lost its flare. Tables are not being cleaned properly and consequently when you want to sit down you gave to sit in tbe muck of the previous diners. Staff are not nearly as helpful as they used to be and the changes in the last few months have not been for the better. After three years of regularly lunching on Sundays it's time to look for another club. Not impressed lately 😕

What has happened to standard of meals and the selection at club. Yesterday food was terrible. Cheap and nasty.

Burleigh Leagues BLND used to be the best food and service. With great friendly staff. Yesterday Sunday 8th December. Absolutely shocking we had the bottomless Tapas. Food astrocious. No consistency with many condiments missing. When asked for we were told bad luck we have run out. I have constantly promoted BLND to my many friends on FB . Sadly I cannot support anymore. Maybe Management and Executive Chef needs to rethink and needs to get BLND back on track.

Food has gone downhill and overcooked, took 1.5 hours to arrive and missing key ingredients of the dishes.

Very disappointing Four main meals all unimpressed No dressing on the salad, two meals had thick chips two meals had shoestring chips thinking they must have run out. The mushroom sauce came out after we had finished eating. The barramundi was so over cooked. All walked out feeling blah after what we thought was going to be a lovely night. Back to the surf clubs for us.

Called into the club late Friday afternoon to have some tapas only to find that the menu has been changed. I am by myself and always liked the fact that I could have several small meals that were tasty and reasonable price. Now the menu has changed to sharing plates and prices have increased dramatically. It is OK if you have someone to share a meal with but if you don't it is of little value. I left without ordering any food and I am sure there are many people who are on their own and would just like to sit and have tapas like they used to.

I have been a member of Burleigh Bears for many years and have thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant food until recently where it has been over priced and not very nice. The menu has little choice now and very ordinary food. Was there on Saturday for lunch and the table of patrons next to us commented that they would not eat there again and sadly neither will I.

I have made great friends here and love all the staff ... staff are friendly and helpful .... food is great .... tried seagulls but missed the Burly Bears 🐻.... won't leave them again .... would be good tho if they put up some shade cloth in the smoking area for summer .....onya BB.... keep up the great work

Went there last evening after some time The menu has changed and it was bad!! Choices were not good, and food very expensive. The chicken I had was so tough !!! Children were running and screaming wildly around the dining area . The staff were approached to stop them but that didn’t happen . Very dangerous for elderly people walking about . We will not be returning again. Such a shame it used to be such a friendly family place to go

I love this place and have been coming here for years. Love the atmosphere, the food is club quality, house wine is a little excessive and the staff are friendly but reserved. My only pet hate is to sit you have to ask for them to clear a table away and even then they will leave all the other tables laden with dirty glasses and plates. Not a good look.

really great seniors meals .We took mum at 94 yrs old and she felt really special.Mum eats a lot so the meals were a great size for her.The staff were also so kind .

Came for lunch with my parents. They had the Chicken Parm which was very over cooked and I had the chilli prawns which was chilli but not much other flavour. Very disappointed we won’t be back.

Great food, great club that I have been going to for many years now!!! The renovations have brought the old Bears into the modern era!!! Love the original staff members who are still keeping it real. The new, younger staff would go a long way to learn about their dedication and commitment to service to their members and visitors, and keep people coming back to a AWESOME Rugby League club we can ALL be proud of to belong to! I would love to see some new options pop up more regularly in the Restaurant to take advantage of the prices they are charging in this modern era of the club.

Christine, our hostess for a 50th birthday dinner, on 30th August was fantastic. Nothing was too much for her, a bucket for our flowers, photo taking, interaction with guests etc. Please give her feedback from this review as it is important she knows how special her service was. Great club food and service with plenty of parking.

You judge a business by the quality of its staff. Asked very politely if one of the bar staff could take a picture of myself with old friends only to receive a sarcastic I’ll drop everything and be right there type of response. Acted as if the request was unreasonable or inappropriate in some way and she then proceeded to ignore us whilst chatting with friends at the bar. I then asked another staff member and he happily and graciously helped us out with the very simple request. The club probably won’t care but it or any of its affiliates will never see another cent of mine.

Fantastic venue for young and old. Great menu, plenty of space to dine and drink with quick service. ♿Super wheel chair friendly, from the carpark to the amenities. Extra wide doors, corridors, not a step in sight.

We used to be members at this Club prior to 2016 (We lived in Miami) then started travelling overseas whilst also moving to the Broadbeach area. We are members of Jupiters/ The Star and have watched their service deteriorate over the years. No acknowledgement of patrons. Rude staff. Time limits on machines. Etc So we decided to visit Burleigh Leagues Club yesterday. (Sat 13th) What a nice welcome back. The band last night were fantastic and the locals very friendly and fun. We also met someone we knew from 8 years ago! A totally amazing visit! We will definately be coming to your club as our regular venue. Great renovations and makeover.

Quite impressed with this venue. The food was great. Had 2 pizzas (it was a 2 for 1 Thursday), and my wife had the chicken wings. Prices were reasonable. Venue was well set out. Lots of parking. Good service. Highly recommended.

I've have been bombarded with advertising for Senior meals at your club so we decided to go for lunch and try your Senior meals out as advertised. We do know Senior meals are small but your meals were very small and hard to digest my wife had chicken schnitzel which was so hard and dry it had to be 2 days old like carpet sitting in a preheated food Warmer. I had battered barramundi it was the same as the chicken it was cooked 2 days before and sitting around in a food Warmer. The service was very quick and we had our meals before any body else. NOW I KNOW WHY IT WAS SITTING FOR 2 DAYS WAITING FOR US TO WALK IN THE DOOR .WE BOTH HAD GASTRIC AND WERE SICK AND VOMITING. WE WILL NOT BE BACK THIS IS A SHOCKING WAY TO TREAT YOUR SENIORS SHAME ON YOU ,USE FRESH FOOD EACH DAY NOT PREHEATED FROM PREVIOUS DAYS 😕

Look like change chef we have eaten a couple off times there always disent. Today stone hard garlic bread, burned food , not taste good . Sorry I will not come back.

Fair price, nice place

Ordered a chicken schnitzel but smelt more of fish than chicken. Discarded the outer hard layer only to find something that could not be described as either.

Last night we held my father’s 70th birthday at the Club. The staff were rude and snooty from the very start. I approached the bar for my first drink and was told, ‘I’m busy, find someone else to serve you’, by a cranky young bartender. I mean, zero smile, zero warmth. There was ONE other bartender, serving a full bar of Club patrons on the opposite side- we had a private event with our own area, and no willing bar staff to serve us. Over the course of the evening, I used the self-serve water and was able to view the bar staff from behind. They were spending a lot of time in discussion, with frowning expressions, inspecting our party. It was a mostly sit-down event, with family and friends gathered from around Australia, to celebrate the special occasion. After the formalities, we began to drink a little more, and some dancing. Staff became increasingly unfriendly, and my husband was cut off from the bar. He doesn’t even drink much (because it gives him bad headaches) and has a very relaxed demeanour. He was ordering a round for many people and couldn’t remember the order, so was cut off for being too intoxicated. How embarrassing for him! To ruin his father-in-law’s party! It felt like the staff were looking in for a way to end our party so that they could go home. Eventually, my husband was approached by security to be removed, as he had been handed a drink by someone else. It was such a horrible situation that the party ended abruptly, with many sad and disappointed people. After the thousands that were spent at the Club by our family, the behaviour of staff was an absolute disgrace. Will make sure that our story is well known around the Gold Coast so that others do not have their event ruined by ‘hospitality’ staff with no hospitality skills.

Went for breakfast, waited 45 min for coffee and food. Food was cold, pancakes rubbery, coffee weak and not correctly made. and when speaking to one wait staff asking for some cutlery and missing components from breakfast she stated I don't speak English and walked away. Poor customer service.

I received a text offering a free breakfast. We booked a table for 10am on Sunday. We arrived at club at 9:50am. There was a massive queue for ordering breakfast.only one person taking orders which is just not good enough. However plenty of empty tables so obviously the bottleneck is the ordering system.We queued for 40 minutes then they said orders close at 10:30.We were told the chef said no more orders after 10:30. Just managed to order but totally stressful ordeal.Need new management at this club so many people extremely annoyed with this.Don’t know if we will return to this club. Andrea Bealham

Been a member for 7 years had 3 drinks and a dance and was cut off for having a good time ?plus tipped the amazing Guitarist that played ,, Friendly with the security guards and come for dinner at least twice a week ,,shame on the little guy with the slick back hair glasses for treating me this way disappointed local ☹️

Staff are friendly and decor is new and well presented. Good for just drinks or go for some food ..either bar food or sit down meals ..pizza is great and overall nice place .. only negative parking can be a concern when it's busy there .

Came for lunch for my husband’s birthday a week ago and left feeling very unwell and spent the afternoon home vomiting. I asked for gluten free pasta dish (and confirmed with the lady multiple times that it was gluten free) and I’m not sure if it was, or wether they didn’t put any thought to it and it was contaminated with normal pasta but I was so unwell specially since it did taste nice 🥲

Booked with friends for living in the 70s band and when we got to the club we weren't even seated in the room where the band were playing, we were just shoved in a corner of the club where we couldn't see nor hear the music. Pathetic service.

Felt like Sliders for dinner, it was 7.45. Waited to place my order, was told I was at wrong counter so went to next counter, waited, finally told to go to another food counter that I didn't know existed. Waited there, ignored, finally told to order at Sport's Bar. Went there to be informed I was too late as it close's at 8 pm. Time was exactly 8. Very annoyed, the young staff were lovely but I won't be back. Extremely annoyed and dissapointed. Kerrie.

MUST TRY THE VENUE Recently, my wife and I had the pleasure of discovering a new breakfast location that serves on weekends as we are new to the area. We were impressed with the barista/cook, Jasmine, who consistently greeted us with a smile as we passed and displayed an impressive level of skill in her coffee-making abilities. Her presentation was visually appealing and every cup was infused with a palpable passion. Additionally, we were delighted to find that our poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Following our initial experience, we revisited the establishment and my wife discovered bingo mornings, albeit disappointed in not receiving the same level of aesthetic appeal in her coffee order on Wednesday. Finally, I would like to extend my commendation to the team that worked on the busy Sunday we attended. Despite being understaffed, they performed exceptionally well.

My friend is a member here.....For years and years i have listened to her complaining how the pokies at this club are thieving machines....So last sunday i joined up and went with her.....we were there for 2 and a half hours...we played at least 14 different machines in a very dark and crowed large room...we went to the ATM at least 3 or 4 times...whats that telling you...absolutely no hope of getting a feature or a tiny bit of luck.. Ha Ha Ha so we are fools..so there machines are programmed to steal

Bought a chilli prawn pizza within 5 minutes it was ready remarkably , the pastry was soft and mushy , the pizza wasn’t cut into slices , worst pizza I’ve ever had and would not recommend it too anyone . I’m not sure it was even cooked . The strange thing is the plate the pizza was on was very hot so I’d say they microwave it . I’ve had other food there at the restaurant no problem . Pizza never again .

Ordered a pizza in the restaurant form their menu only to be told after paying that it wasn’t available after 8….i think i ordered at 8:10…I did get my money back but why is it even on the menu if it’s not available…sorry, was told after the fact that in very small writing (I could t read it) that I should have seen it. I won’t be back.

Yesterday (23/12/2023) I booked a table for 20 for the pre-Christmas menu in the restaurant. Talk about exceed expectations! (1) The table was decorated with Christmas ornamets and a bon bon for each guest, unexpected but appreciated. (2) The entree was the size of a main meal. (3) The main meal and dessert were delicious and exceedingly generous. (4) All meals arrived at the same time so not one person was left waiting - a faultless luncheon - 3 courses, served to table for $35 each - AMAZING VALUE. Thank you to Head Chef Lilian (he's French), Assistant Chef Leonardo (he's Brazilian) and their team together with Head Hospitality Guru Miranda and her wonderful team for looking after us so beautifully.
