The coffee was absolutelly delicious, good beans. The muffin wasn't good, but all the plates around look delicious. Is a beautiful place to have a lovely brecky.

BRILLIANT COFFEE Stopped in for breakfast. Sit in, outside, or take away. We sat inside and got table service. Staff were accommodating and brought the best coffee in a huge mug! We shared a meal and staff were kind enough to do it on two separate plates for us. Highly recommend! BTW, puppies welcome to for outside with you!

Went to Cafe Mondello on a Sunday morning. Food was fantastic but the reason for this review is because of how good the service was from the waiters! Highly recommend.

This is my go to when in Launceston. I have never had a bad experience here and when you sit and see the amount or regulars they have you know this is a good business. The food is on point but coffee here is always my go to. Again extra shot but worth it.

This is a long one. Cafe Mondello is an absolute gem in Tasmania. A MUST VISIT for anyone that is frustrated with inconsistent coffee, poor service and overpriced food, you will get NONE of this here. Different Baristas and the coffee is always the same, OUTSTANDING. The type of place that doesnt look for coffee awards but i bet if they did, they would leave premiere locations in their wake. I have never experienced such fast service, you really feel looked after here. As a business they are really clued into the fact that the most important thing for a cafe is the vibe and not pretention. It has a feeling like a home away from home, its cozy and friendly, welcoming and they are always very flexible to those needing some extra care with their needs. I have seen them cater for all size gatherings really really well, and are particularly family friendly whilst also super fast for those needing a quick coffee on their way to work. They are very attentive without overcrowding. Now to the food. They have so many regulars because the food is sumptious and its always like that, they are really experienced and understand that its not about flash, its the taste. All this in a small space, try them, add them to your itinerary, try somewhere new, somewhere that isnt a modelling contest, its about YOU enjoying your time.

Usually just a coffee when walking the dog's, but always great coffee.

Came here a few weeks ago, food was nice enough but was very disappointed to see the barista who seemed like a supervisor being rude to one of the other staff members who was obviously new and trying her best. The girl who brought us our coffee was lovely and the barista was very rude to her and the girl seemed upset. Hate seeing small businesses thinking this kind of treatment of employees is okay.

Saw the rating on Google thinking it’d be good and drove a long way here for brunch. We weren’t sure about the parking in the neighbourhood so asked the lady in the cafe about the parking restrictions along the street. She was extremely rude for no reason saying “who knows! Check it online yourself”. All the questions we asked she responded extremely short and rude making us feeling extremely unwelcomed. which is really strange because who would treate a stranger like this let alone a customer. We were quite shocked. Such a bad experience for a short trip to Tasmania.

A great coffee, even better iced latte and staff that make you feel comfortable. They’re very friendly and super quick 😊 Also the whole cafe inside and out is really well kept and beautifully styled!

Saturday Morning Breakfast -10:15am. Not overly busy. Drinks came relatively quick, ordered an iced chocolate and hot chocolate. Service was not outstanding but good. Waited about 40 minutes from food being ordered to delivered to table. Service and wait time aside the food was great. The eggs Benedict with bacon was about $23, while the same but with Salmon was $27, and definitely less salmon than bacon which was a bit disappointing.

Not brilliant but still a very good venue for a weekend breakfast. Just 1klm or so from the heart of Launceston it's a refreshing walk especially if you cut through Princess Park. You can sit in or dine out under the shade of some leafy green trees (November). The food, service & prices were all very good to excellent. The ambience is pedestrian but there are a few very old & interesting houses to view across the street.

We stopped for an impromptu breakfast having caught the ferry from Geelong the previous night. Our coffees were incredibly good, possibly some of the best our group of 4 have ever had…anywhere. Breakfast was also excellent, with eggs, bacon and thick toast cooked to perfection. Service was 5-star, with attentive and knowledgeable staff able to quickly narrow our selections. We’ll definitely be back again on our next trip to Launceston.

the best thing was the location, I was staying at a nearby hotel. So the coffee was ok, the staff were ok. Maybe Id been spoiled by being at Banjos an hour before. But anyway, its was drinkable and thats all that matters at 6.30 am

I like to check out local places to eat when travelling. This Cafe was a five minute walk from hotel. Menu is small with good options. Service was excellent given new staff of students. I had the eggs & bacon on toast (no sausage extra available) but go to dish is corn fritters with extra serve of poached eggs.

Incredible food! Had the eggs beni. The best I’ve ever had . Love the bread it’s on. We also had the French toast . It came with a delicious serving of lemon curd that was made to perfection.

Absolutely loved this place. The meals were awesome and service was great. They even had the fireplace going and the place was beautiful and warm. We'll definitely be back there.

The people here were lovely. The coffee was nice aswell. The eggs Benedict with bacon was really good. Perfectly poached eggs, the bacon was well cooked and the bread was nicely toasted too. The mushroom toast however was amazing. The goat curd complimented the mushrooms deliciously, and to top it off, the tastiest halloumi I’ve had at a cafe in ages.
