Dodnt eat today, but lovely cocktails

We unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with the security guard who denied us entry with a booking. He proceeded to tell us the venue was booked full and he said ”he’s choosing not to let us in because he wants to” despite us being very polite on arrival. He was confrontational and sexist towards members of our group and used crude language to describe our group. I would love to get in contact with the actual management to discuss the issue as the venue and atmosphere seems nice!! The security guard also threatened to break someone’s hand.

The security guard no:101 was very sexist and very aggressive for no reason and didn’t let us in even though we had a booking for a birthday dinner on 22/02/2025!!

came for the food, left extremely disappointed. firstly beer selection poor, 4 taps of generic beers, very little stubbies or tinnies. now the food, over priced and underwhelming. highlight jalapeno Poppers, lowlight everything else. cheesy chips with chilli, chips hard, cheese tasteless, chilli dry and like it was powered and sprinked on. burrito ok, chimichunga ok, chargrilled corn was a disaster. came out almost fridge cold, even the second attempt was barely warm, this is not cooked fresh. to top it off all in disposable plates by time get to the rice and salsa your eating paper as it's dissolved underneath. if your coming for the food I recommend you just don't.

Second time visiting budgie bar yesterday for the hot 100! We had the best day. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially Jackie who looked after us all day! Food delish and fast service, amazing range of cocktails too. Couldn't recommend this bar enough

Great drinks and fast bar staff. Wanted to stay longer but the seating was so uncomfortable. Hard Kmart stools with no back rest and the “table” was a barrel that you had to put your legs around to get close enough to eat

Had a great night out. The food was very nice, but maybe would have liked a another option other then Mexican. I found that odd to have one theme, or am I missing the point here? Also the staff pretty much throw the food on the table and don't explain what taco meal is what, or say the wrong thing, I suggest putting little toothpick with the name of the dish in the meal. The bench tables might be a little squashed, it was difficult to get in and out without bumping the other person on the other table. The music was great, the drinks were well priced and yummy. I know I complained above but really had a great night. Highly recommended.

We had our work Xmas party in the Budgie Bar. The venue was the perfect size for our group, the food was tasty and the drinks, mostly cocktails, were fabulous, with a really good variety to choose from. We had room for a dance area and with the help to set up sound and playlists, we had a great time. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this venue. Thanks Jackie for making this all come together so easily. You were such a great contact to have guide us through the booking process.

This bar has a great atmosphere, good music, and skilled bartenders. Their cocktails are excellent, but the food is extremely disappointing. I definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering food here.

On the 5th of December, we had our company Christmas party with a group of 20 people. The trivia was great, but the food was below average. I wouldn’t recommend this place for food. While the drinks were fine, the chicken tacos were overcooked and burnt, and the nachos had no meat at all. It’s not worth spending money on food here. Overall, I’d give this place less than one star because, despite the entertainment and drinks being decent, the food did not live up to the price they charge. If you’re looking to impress your friends or family, I’d strongly suggest finding somewhere else. This is definitely not the place for that. I don’t like leaving bad reviews on Google, as it can affect a business's sales. Instead, I left a few messages on the mobile phone number they provided, but no one bothered to call back. This lack of response shows they simply don’t care, which is poor customer service

Thanks to the manager Alex for his amazing hospitality when helping us with our reservation. Accommodating for a large group so quickly was brilliant and allowed us to have wonderful night. Highly recommend.

Refused entry on my birthday because I am apparently too casual in shorts and a tshirt on a 30°+ day, security at door is a wanker.

Attended Saturday afternoon for the bottomless and really enjoyed the chilled atmosphere while handing with friends. Food was great and drinks were really nice. Shout out to Michael who took care of our table and really contributed to the good vibes and relaxed environment with his friendly service.

LOOK. NO. FURTHER!!!! I was lucky enough to organise my trivia fundraiser for A Cure for Sienna at the Budgie. We had our own private room & bar - fully accommodated to our needs! Jackie and the team were flawless. The most supportive and caring crew that made our night so easy going. If you're looking for a venue for your next event, I HIGHLY recommend the budgie! We visited the budgie smuggler for the first time yesterday and were blown away by the person on the door. Cheerful, smiling and accomodating all night. Jackie was her name. In fact we visited again on the Saturday hoping to see her friendly and welcoming face again. As business owners, our intention was to employ her. Her loyalty is commendable. Great place. Ambience is fantastic. Look after Jackie or we’re coming for her!!!

The food was good, but the service was slow, and the live music was earsplittingly loud. At the very least, they should get drinks out quicker than 20 minutes. Whether you ordered via the table QR or at the bar didn't matter. I know it’s a bar, but the live music was so loud it hurt, and we could barely hold conversations. On the other hand, the music was really good, which helped.

Went to the bottomless cocktails here for my birthday and it was fantastic. Customer service beforehand was brilliant, and service when we arrived was wonderful too!! Delish cocktails and a good menu!

Manager was very unreasonable and unprofessional as were the security when dealing with small issues. Would not recommend this venue especially for birthdays or events.

fantastic cocktails and food

I've visited this place three times, and each experience has been worse than the last. On my first visit, despite booking a table, we were squeezed into a tiny space meant for 15 people with only 6 seats. I overlooked it then, just happy to be there. The second visit was my birthday, and it was a disaster. We paid $65 for a bottomless package that included a meal. Unfortunately, the meal was sent to the wrong table, and the staff refused to rectify the mistake. I spent a long time arguing with rude staff, and my sister ended up paying for food that should have been complimentary. After a two-hour wait, the only kind staff member finally managed to sort things out, but then we were asked to pay yet again. Leaving my steer in tears on my birthday. But the experience left us deeply disappointed. My third visit was for my best friend's birthday, and I was already hesitant given the previous experiences. Unfortunately, the staff were again unprofessional and rude. Meals took an excessive amount of time to arrive, and when they did, the waitress threw the dishes on the table without a word and walked away. This place has great potential but fails miserably in execution. The staff consistently create a hostile environment, making you feel unwelcome. I know others who have shared similar sentiments. Given these repeated issues, I will not be returning or recommending this establishment.

The standards are amazing so lets not review those. We had a small issue with ordering, however we got looked after Jackie, with her brilliant service. She was more than helpful...a grade service. And this is coming from someone who had worked in hospitality. Thank you Jackie P.s Lets also give it up for Chad too 👏

Went here for the first time to have a night out with family and friends and I honestly enjoyed my night so much. I would recommend getting a table in the room where the dj and drinks are since the atmosphere is so much better than being secluded in the farthest portion of the bar. Had my usual g&t which was good and we only ordered chicken wings and chips as snacks since the food was a bit pricey. Overall, good vibe, good photo spots beside the bar, good drinks and good music.

40 minutes to wait for a drink and left very dissapointed while in line. The good news was that within 3mins and were having a drink out the back of the Firehouse across the road. First time at Budgie Bar, it will be the last time sadly. Our Friday nights are precious and can't be wasted in a line up for drinks..

Immaculate vibes, killer drinks and love the cars. I've had the bottle cocktails a bunch before, and even though that two of my favourites aren't on the bar menu, the staff were super accommodating and made me a 'prince' and a 'coffee and cigars'! Special thanks to Jackie, Emily and Mark for going above and beyond!

food is fine, expensive for what is is especially considering the takeout packaging. we really enjoyed our lychee cocktails!! service was lacklustre, we waited such a long time for a couple glasses of coke.

The atmosphere is brilliant. It is not a noisy place you can have a conversation. Very friendly professional staff. The food was fresh and delicious, it came out quick. Loved the cars on display and layout of restaurant. Oh and delicious cocktails
