People come and go but the Sceptre always delivers. Mandatory stop whenever I party in the city, with amazing staff, great spirits selection (tequila lover here). Overall a fantastic Pub!

Was sitting outside chilling with work friends and had to sit through 20 min of noise because the barman was moving kegs around.

Tori, the most welcoming and hospitable manager of the Crown and Sceptre has ensured that my white wine was opened that day. Once Tori realised the wine may have been open a few days. With a smile and a friendly chat, Tori delivered me with a fresh glass of Riesling!!! Service is important to Tori and her team!!! I am so glad to drop in some nights for a wine and a bite to eat. If you've never been here before, make a date next time you're in town. Atmosphere in this 'old timer' is great. The beer garden is small, but inviting and the front bar, with dimly lit lighting and candle lights on the tables really do set a chilled out mood, making you want to stay just that little bit longer. Intimate dining areas are beautifully set out and you can 'choose your own adventure,' be it Intimate dining, font bar, beer garden, etc. The staff here are wonderful and keen mixologists ready to help you with your next libation or recommend food from their unpretentious, but not too 'pub' menu. A recent app upgrade gives some fantastic discounts and it's really worth downloading - do it now before you forget. Meals are great quality and we settled for a few plates from the share and sides menu; chicken sausage rolls, duck fat and rosemary potatoes, baked camembert, and sauteed bacon and cabbage. The chicken sausage rolls were an absolute standout, and went surprisingly well with our cocktails. I love this place. My local (amongst my other locals) Highly recommended!

Pleasant environment. Had better curries, mind you I have had worse. Music too loud.

The food was not as expected. Steak was undercooked (asked for medium well) however it was very pink and chewy. The mixgrilled was quite bland.

Tried the kangaroo.. Delicious and well presented. Came out fast. The ambience is nice. Staff are friendly. Ive been here a few times before for fringe shows and thought it was a good fringe venue too.

Booked on a Saturday night not realising Saturdays in Adelaide CBD are dead and walk ins are fine. The food was perfect. Great range of gluten free foods and the service was fast. Fire place in the dining area kept it warm and the bar staff are hilarious. Stuck around a little longer because the DJ had a great eclectic selection of tunes playing. Worth the pop in if you're in the area.

It's absolutely amazing. Between the four of us, we had 3 appetisers, 4 meals, and several drinks and not one thing disappointed. Would recommend Crown and Sceptre to everyone! The staff are friendly and super helpful, an amazing experience. Will come again next time in Adelaide. The photo of my steak does not do it justice. The plate was bigger than both my hands!

Really good food! Surprisingly good in fact. Service was great, plenty of friendly staff who were very accommodating. We tried a few different things on the menu for mains and dessert and was not disappointed with anything.

Easily one of Adelaide's best beer gardens serving great food and drinks (at reasonable prices) for friends to catch up over Knock off drinks are the highlight of my day sometimes, and a place like this is perfectly situated for me. In the winter months, this place flexes a beautiful beer garden equipped with umbrellas and heaters that will allow all to keep warm The drinks flow great from friendly staff members and the food is a step up from classic pub foods, I like it here, will definitely be back
