Wait for over an hour for our meal, and it was cold when we finally got it. Six ordered at the same time one came out after about 50 minutes, next came out 25 minutes later and was cold as. The next lot was 15 minutes later. We were given a free beer, but the apology was a bit half-hearted.

Came here with my husband and son, the bar staff were very friendly and created conversation with us, and also all the other staff were very welcoming. our son was being a little devil, one of the lovely staff Danielle offered us a paddle pop to settle him down, and we were then able to enjoy our amazing dinner.

We attended the flying horse for their woodfire kitchen experience. The food was wonderful and very generous size portions. The fish was well cooked. Highly recommend. Huge outdoor space. Very clean and inviting. Nice friendly staff.

The food was okay, but the customer service coming from Benjamin was absolutely amazing! He made us feel so welcome and done such a great job looking after us. He deserves a raise 😊

Attended the Flying horse recently and the food was lovely and the meal size was huge. The staff were friendly, and they were very busy as it was a weekend with sprint cars in town. The only negative feedback that I could give is the smoking area in the outside garden bistro. I believe that this must be a minimum 4 meters away from patrons eating with a 2,1-meter surrounding fence and this was not the case. As a non-smoker and this being the only option to sit, I would be hesitant to go back if I was not seated inside next time. Maybe when you have that many patrons, ditch the smoking area......

This place was amazing, so glad we stopped. It's a big place and we only saw a fraction but we came back the next day. We had lunch, dinner and drinks. They have a large choice of delicious meals.

Amazing experience, went twice during the classic weekend. For how busy they were, everything came out within a good time and they were so nice to the kids!

Having visited the Flying Horse a few days previously, which was an exceptional experience, we were very disappointed on this visit. The whole experience was spoiled by some of the staff members. Firstly they could not find our booking and then having ordered 6 meals together, we waited and waited while several tables nearby arrived, ate and left before 4 of our meals arrived. This was after querying with a staff member on the slowness of said meals. We were told they were on the way. However, we waited another 15+ minutes. The last 2 meals finally arrived, and one was incorrect. When said meals finally arrived, we were accused of sending back meals twice, which was incorrect, only sending back once on incorrect meal delivery.

Waited over 1.5h for some of the food. I ordered seafood basket which was to come with gummy flake Japanese prawns calamari and scallops chips and salad. The waitress literally came out over 2 hrs after we ordered and pushed the meal at the end of the table. It was just calamari with vegetables. Was so hungry tried it and it was so disgusting. 🤮 was sadly one of the worse meals I have eaten. Service was terrible 😢.

We came here while we were on our first trip to warnambool for dinner- we were a table of 12 and the restaurant was fairly busy however; upon ordering a jug of soft drink the cups were disgusting. They looked dirty and had white chalky marks across them from the inside of the cup. I asked for new cups and received another set of dirty cups if not worse than the first set, at this point I was getting frustrated because really how hard is it to have some clean markless cups given to paying customers? I took my jug and the poor excuse for cups up to the bar and on my way there, one of the waitresses stopped me and rudely proceeded to tell me “the cups are clean, they have been in a dishwasher, you cant polish every cup clean” when I got to the bar i requested that I swap my jug to cans as I wasn’t comfortable with drinking out of dirty cups & I was told the same thing but this time it was “I’m not giving you free cans because I assure you the cups are clean and we will go through every cup until we find ones you like” eventually we got there. Fine all good it is was it is, she even clean the cups for me with a towel. Good job. But then…. We waited for our food. And waited…. And waited….. I mean we waited for an around 1 hour and 20 mins for the most our tables food… but then we waited some more, for our pizzas…. At this point I was contemplating just going to maccas and calling it day but low and behold they eventually came and they were nice. Cold. But you know. Credit where credits due I bet they would have been nicer if they were actually served hot. We also had a calamari salad- the calamari was stone cold and they remade it! Which was good…. However, the calamari was barely cooked so I mean we threw that on another plate and added salt and pepper ourselves but didn’t really want to eat it. I should mention it’s now almost 2 hours since we ordered, the table has eaten most of the cold food we were served but where’s the last of our entree? Oh. Still nowhere to be seen. At least they gave us our money back for that. All in all, the service was horrible. The staff were relatively rude, the food was cold and their cups were gross. We easily left $500 there at the least. It’s really disappointing because the food actually tasted nice but considering they had so many plates sitting under the heat lamps for over 30 mins at a time it’s caused it to lack.

Poor service and food. I’d cop the poor service if the food was good, but unfortunately the food is not good. I wish I saw the other reviews before dining here. Food was cold. I left the venue worried I’d end up sick. Food should be served hot, especially Chicken and Seafood. I won’t be back after this poor experience. Also, I was surprised to see a staff member at the tables who clearly had a new tattoo still covered in plastic wrap.

Years ago we had really fond memories of flying horse when they were called flying horse restaurant and brewery. The current version is very poor in comparison. The brewery is gone and now only has your standard offerings on tap. We started with the garlic pizza for an entree. It was quite nice but that's where it ended. Kids parma tasted like a processed Ingham snitzel. We had the seafood platter. Very ordinary as the flake was no bigger than a fish finger. The prawn pasta was served cold which the waitress acknowledged but no apology was offered. Flying horse will no longer be a part of our plans when we holiday in warrnambool.

Been a regular to this bar whenever visiting Warrnambool and had found the food and service to be pretty good. On this occasion we ordered. The Tradie Special meals plus 2 sodas and a beer. Was charged $25 more than I should have. When I raised this with the bar staff they said they would look into it. No one ever came back to me or even acknowledged an error. Not even a simple apology. Consistent with other reviews here the food is of good quality but let down by indifferent service. Not sure whether we will go back.

What a fantastic team! Felicity was so accommodating helping us to organise a wake at short notice on a Friday in December! Couldn't have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and plentiful, nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend if you need an event space. Thanks so much for making a difficult time easier x

Table for 5 for a birthday was booked, on arrival said it was a table for 2... Ordered five meals , two arrived one cold, 10 minutes later the next two arrived , waited another 5 min and made enquires on the last.....copped attitude that they were busy, got attitude back that's no excuse...another 5 min past had to go up to kitchen to see where meal was, had to bring back meal and watch the person eat by themselves......second time this has happened since changing hands. If you want this as a dining experience I recommend you go there. Seems to be a new way of doing business in the hotel industry in the country .

Myself and my wife had dinner here tonight and OMG where do I start from the moment we got here the service was exceptional the food was to die for we had entree cob loaf and beef brisket nachos then mains I had pork belly that the sauce was amazing and the taste wow my wife beer battered flake with vegetables and the vegetables were actually cooked not still hard and the flake melted in your mouth, not only was the food great but we had entrees and meals served with in 25 minutes definitely coming back

Note to the bar: Pina Colada is not supposed to be that sour. PC supposes to have a rich, sweet and creamy taste. It only tastes that bad when it’s prepared badly or left sit out too long. When I returned my drink, the bar person didn’t even know she messed up the drink, so please pay attention for next time.

Service.....yeah right ... Come to have a meal in the outdoor area..Yes Outdoor......and because we had a small dog with us,,who probably is better behaved than most children...we were refused Service ...

I had been waiting for 1 and a half hours and i still have not gotten my food and even when the lady said she was going to get it, she came out with different plates and it has been 10 minutes since then and i still have not gotten it

We booked Table 12 & 13 on Oct 24 for Birthday celebration for 12 people . Service is extremely poor, no one was coming to take orders. Finally someone came and took orders and failed to deliver food for one person. She had to wait watching others eating! She then took it in takeaway box! When guests comes waiter should serve welcome drink first then take the order and make sure they are getting everything on time, check anything else is needed and guests are happy and entertained.

As we entered a young man asked us to Wait as he was busy, then passed us onto another staff member who then passed us onto another. We weren’t given a children’s menu, strange how you order and pay at the table, no effort into their service and the atmosphere. No connection with customers. It’s as-if we were bothering them. The meals were lovely. But the service is lacking.

Waited about 90 minutes for our meals only to be told kitchen was closed when we asked where the meals were, our order was found and we were told kitchen would stay open to do it but by then we were too angry, managed to get our money back with no explanation or apology, we won’t be back!! Disgraceful and very disappointing!

Delicious flathead and chips at reasonable price. Companions enjoyed the Parma and Pork Loin also. Adjacent table had a burger that looked very tasty. Surprisingly few customers for a Fri lunchtime on a glorious autumn day. People don't know what they're missing.

Arrived and the 2 tables along side of us arrived after us and got served before us. Ordered entree and half way through our mains came. Was like eating at Coles cafeteria. Very average experience.

A great meal spoiled. So they just bring out the meals as soon as they're ready. So I got mine after everyone else had finished eating. The chefs do great work I commend them. If I come back next time I'll order early so I can actually enjoy it.

Went here for a birthday party the staff member who took our order done a very good job and was friendly but the food was awful and could have been better when the meals arrived their was confusion and it took a awhile to get the meals to where we were seated. Unfortunately we wont be back
