Good food but you're drink prices are atrocious..... $18.18 for a 375mm pre mixed vodka can... WTF A 4 pack down the bottle shop cost nearly that

The food here is amazing, and they have so many vegetarian and vegan options! The pizzas are absolutely delicious, with a thin and crispy base. Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in Adelaide, which was truly a surprise for a random pub in gawler! The burgers are also great, and so too are the schnitzels! Also, fries were delicious and crunchy, and the buratta was also really good (but the walnuts are way too sweet). 9.2/10!!!

Not one to do Google reviews but today was an absolute doozy. The serve was actually laughable. As soon as I saw it I went to Google reviews and low and behold someone had written everything I wanted to say about the exact same meal 4 weeks ago. Take it off the menu if that's what you plan on serving up for 34 bucks. The whole menus prices are ridiculous.

I just ate here with family and while everything was great, this review is specifically for my order which was the Burrata. Seriously, this was a bowl of divine deliciousness. Every single thing in the bowl - the melty cheese, the fig, the walnuts, the tomatoes, the bread - was utterly divine. I was in food heaven. Complements to the kitchen.

I’ll be popping in to see the owners next week to have a chat . After the way my wife and daughter was treated tonight. The way Patrick spoke to us after 1 and a half hours of waiting for our meal I was gob smacked . I’m a local, with lots of family that eat and drink at the Fleece . I’m not going to go into what happened as I rate the pub.

Waited over an hour for food

I had the scotch fillet and my partner had the steak sandwich. The scotch was amazing and cooked to my request, but my partner and I agreed this was THE BEST steak sandwich we ever had. We will definitely be going back.

Great pub and gaming room

Wasn't a fan of the food. Over priced, oily and the salad was inedible. The venue looked nice though and staff were friendly.

Decided to go out for dinner as we were hungry and didn't want to drive 30 minutes home to then make dinner. We waited 45 minutes for our meals. Mine was the alleged angel hair pasta, which was spaghetti no.7.. While annoying, the real.issue I have is the size of my portion. This cost me $34 for the alleged angel hair pasta with crab. I have been to countless places and had my kids get children's meal pasta dishes that were bigger than this, and for the amount of crab that was in there, it definitely wasn't worth $34. I've had similar dishes where I've had more crab in there, the portion size was more than adequate to the point where I've shared my meal with the eldest, and it's been cheaper. My plate was that small it took me around 5 minutes to eat and now I have to wait for my family to finish up before driving 30 minutes home and cooking after having a long day.and not wanting to cook. I could have gone home and saved $120 and given my 4 year old dinosaur nuggets there and not been charged $15 for them. Won't be coming back. My advice is try elsewhere and get better value for yourself l. Or cook at home.

I know they state there is a longer wait, but it’s concerning when people rock up after us with LARGE tables and they all end up eating before we do as a table of 2 ordering chicken schnitzels, nothing to complex Still hadn’t even received my meal by 9:30pm while we’re almost the only people left in the hotel Makes me not want to return

Best Food in Gawler, Beautiful Place, Not a bad word to say about it.

The actual hotel is lovely. Staff were friendly. But - the food was exceptionally over priced for what it is. The side salad was just sad tbh. $35 for a schnitzel, gravy, chips was way too much. We eat out a lot and have tried many places. Paying for the ambience that’s all.

Absolutely hate the colour of the walls and floor, makes me sick. I will be stopping by Coles and Woolworths in the future Huge property hence why i couldn’t find my father there Also please have a beverage for the 29 men who couldn’t (Please see photo)

Got my meal within a fair time yet my friend didn't get their meal when mine came one which is honestly sad. They went in 3 times to ask about their meal and waited an hour which they were reimbursed their money and told their meal was still coming out. The starter came out after that so we sat and waited for a while more, we went in again honestly just over it and they said that they reimbursed for the meal and cancelled the order which is not what we were told. How can it take over 1hr for a burger to be made! I could drive from home to Coles, buy the ingredients and make a burger in less time than that and I'm sure it'd satisfy me more than the ridiculous pricing on some of their foods. Also on that note all their alcoholic beverages are way too overpriced. Do yourselves a favour and walk across the road to the kingsford

Delicious food, with a good vegan and vegetarian menu. Lots of cocktails available with jugs to share, the staff are friendly and fast. Good convenient location too 🙌🏼🥰

i didn’t have the best experience here, i also saw the “manager” have a very confrontational exchange in the car park with some other customers which was really horrific to see. he was chasing the customers car??? sounds unbelievable but i watched it unfold

Perfect medium rare steak with mouth watering sauce and gravy, highly recomended, staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Plush looking gaming room with updated machines and the barman even came out and offered soft drinks something which I haven't been asked in any gaming room in a long time something that used to be standard is now a rarity

Great vibe. Amazing gluten free and vegan option. 😋 I had the cauliflower bites and mushroom pizza. The dipping sauce was to due for. I couldn't even tell that the pizza base was gluten free. Very delicious. I'll be coming back. Everyone working there were friendly, too!

Meal was good but all the staff were grumpy. One proceeeded to close doors instead of bringing out my meal. I sat there with it in plain site as a kitchen staff member saw me and dang the bell again.

A veru unique experience. Which is perfectly complimented by new owners whom have done a fantastic job. As a local and a frequent visitor of this establishment I can say positive things about all aspects of this establishment. Decent food. Great coffee and hot beverages. Great friendly staff very good gaming room which is modern and very clean. Overall a great experience compared to other venues in this area.

Nice country atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful.. we only stayed for dinner. Meals took a while to arrive but worth the wait as they were excellent. Although the Smoked ham & pineapple pizza was very sad. Not enough cheese and the pineapple juice had ran into the base. No complaints from the other meals. Will be back, not for the pizza though..😮‍💨

Middle of the main street Gawler. Great service and range especially for vegetarian. Nice outdoor area - happy for you to hri g a cake out and cutlery ( does not charge ) different great specials. Also caters for large groups with finger food e.g. platters, pizza, aranchini and garlic bread etc . Carpark underground can access via High St- has a lift. Cool.little pokies room away from the restaurant and recently up dated. An Icon of Gawler have always fitted us in weather a small or larger group. HAPPY regulars ❤️🥰

Enjoyed Mother's Day lunch today as a large group of 12. Fantastic service, delicious meals, good atmosphere, and not too noisy.

Went in at end of February with a gift voucher only to be told sorry we will not honour that because we are new/different owners. Try to use it at the Robin Hood. We did go ahead and order anyway but no way we will return. Very poor.

Sunday drive to to check out this hotel, we were not disappointed. Great ambience, attentive staff. Food delicious I highly recommend eating here.

When there for a birthday dinner last night. Large table with kids placed us right next to the bar on a high table! They turned the light of that were over the table took us asking a 4th time for them to turn them back on and 39 minutes. Waited 45 minutes for a kids pasta which was terrible and 55 for meals most meals were good but the chicken in the chicken burger u couldn’t even chew. Asked for water and gave us a frozen bottle of table water. Didn’t even ask us if everything was okay. Bad service and dude manger won’t be going back at all!!

The food was outstanding and so was the service only thing is that a table for 4 with ,side plates,entrees,mains and drinks was really too small,otherwise well worth going to eat there

Meal came quickly and was really nice. The only issue was it was so loud where we were, we could barely hear each other talking

Saturday Night,Table of 10 adults,it was a busy night as it was over 1 hour wait for meals,but the staff were friendly, meals were lovely and super hot, big thanks to Lilly behind the bar,super nice and funny,and kept us ladies laughing,even gave us a goodbye wave at the end of her shift..

I had a lovely lunch here with family on Anzac Day. Service was pretty good considering it was a public holiday, and the meals were generous and very tasty. I had the chicken pie, which was lovely, but the rocket, pear and parmesan salad it came with was fabulous!

All I can say is... try the Angel Hair crab spaghetti! Delish!

Came for a birthday dinner. Very nice food that is inventive and creative! Absolutely recommend the garlic bread, a basic done incredibly well. Would come back for sure!

Beautiful weather today! Train ride from Tonsley in Adelaide to Gawler for lunch at the Golden Fleece. The food was delicious. A great day out 😃

So the new owners are just lovely. Machines are notes only, not my fav but everyone going down this route. Would highly recommend for a pint and poke plus also lunch or dinner.... food is awesome 🙂
