Great modern Pub including Bistro specials

Really great place for a pub feed with the kids! Loved the play area.

It’s disappointing that only chips are offered with the main courses. What about the traditional pub food of mashed potatoes and vegetables? Chips are bad for our health and cause cholesterol and I insist that you please introduce mashed potatoes and vegetables as an option please or else we will never come back here again.

If you go there be sure not to order a mushroom burger because they literally serve you 2 large mushrooms with cheese in a bun. My jaw dropped when I saw that abomination. This was the first time in my life that I had seen such a nasty surprise with the Chef's creation going the wrong way and stealing a name from another food. The bartender did not even care to warn me about the unpleasant surprise that I was about to experience and when I asked him, he simply said the ingredients were written on the menu, with a gesture that why should I even care what is so called customer service. Does anyone really check the ingredients of a mushroom burger??

Usually walk down in the afternoon for dinner. The food and drinks are quite standard for the pricing. Kid-friendly and seating is also flexible. Bathrooms are well kept and parking is readily available.

Since the change in chefs, the quality of the menu has improved significantly and the prices are very generous for what is offered. The salads are fresh, the burgers are juicy, and the schnitzels and parmagianas are nice and tender, not tough. The flavours are all very complementary and not overwhelming and I have been very impressed by their offering of wines and beers on tap. Great for a gathering with friends.

The $18 meal was a bit disappointing.. Chips were cooked in old oil.. Not much of a salad. But the kitchen staff were 10/10 & the bar staff were 10/10 🇦🇺🤠👍

Whilst looking at the updated menu we were reading some of the recent reviews to help us decide what to order. We were about to leave due to some of the reviews, but thought we’ve come here many times and yes we realise the menu has been updated so we should try and decide for ourselves. There are still a few traditional pub food options like burgers, schnitzels, steak, fish and chips and they’ve added some additional Italian meals. We were very happy with our food. The pub was bustling and a great atmosphere with many groups of friends and families. We will continue to support our local pub.

A recent poor experience and won’t be returning to a once highly frequented and loved pub with family and friends. The new menu is overpriced, below average and underwhelming. As is the service and atmosphere.

The best steak for price ever, my drink cost more

Trundled in on a Tuesday night for a few beverages and a little go on the pokies 1st corona was lukewarm 2nd corona cold enough Then barmaid informed me that was the last corona they had in the entire hotel No more coronas until Friday!!!!!! Everybody drinks coronas - google and find its in the top 5 beers in Australia, top 2 in USA Surely anyone with a brain cell would have run down to the local bottlo and bought a couple of cartons.....they charge enough for them over the counter Completely ridiculous situation Wonder if the owners know about low stock level and more importantly - lost revenue

We have always enjoyed this pub. However the new menu and bar staff have dropped the ball. No drinks on tap, it’s broken today … Odd Italian menu for a pub. Some dishes lacked flavour and others texture. I’m not really sure why they have moved to an Italian menu. Go back to a pub menu. We order a bit of everything and it was disappointing. The pizza that’s just bread, was like eating soggy toast.

Food was not good. The pork schnitzel was totally over cooked. It came out super fast. It seemed as if it was fried many times. Hard and tasted off. I only ate the chips and salad. As I received my food first,I sat in the corner of the bench so everyone didn't have to get up when their food was ready. By the same token, I could not make everyone get up so I could return it to the kitchen. When I did, the bar man said he'd speak to the manager to see what they would do. I waited until 11:30 that we left and did not see a manager. We were the only large group and I was easily identifiable.

Food was average unfortunately, but the biggest letdown would be the staff at the bar can’t answer anything about the menu, they didn’t offer to ask the kitchen either, just referred me back to the menu.. eggplant lasagne is just thinly sliced eggplant stacked together, a little dry without any sauce, the chicken parmigiana was slightly under but the kids meal was on point so we had one happy child.

Great atmosphere

Food was terrible. Had the calamari. Tasted like it had been cooked 5 days previously and left in the fridge.

Lunch at the Bistro. Great service. Staff friendly. I had the eggplant lasagne. It's made only with eggplant (no sheets of pasta in it) so if you had food intolerances or you were vegetarian it would be perfect for you. I like the atmosphere and the prices are fair. The menu is Italian inspired. Lots of pasta/pizza and schnitzel options

This is more so about the kitchen and venue space rather than the hotel aspect. Come in here to watch the ufc and would recommend as the place has the space and doesn’t get too crowds either. Parking is pretty decent at the back and the food here was also doable too. Service is adequate and place is clean.

Pub could go back to 5 star if it kept the old menu. Nightly specials wiped and main menu very expensive Italian. Shame, was a favourite.

Awful experience. It used to be a good local pub to go for pub food. We went recently and was charged $22 for 3 slices of bad pizza. The person who wrote the new menu needs to be sacked. Honest, stay at home and eat out of the bin. It will be better than eating here.

Great meals here

This place is a joke since they changed the menue. This is the $21 pizza that they now sell. 3 small, cold slices. This place was our local, we came here heaps. That won't ever happen again.

Hadn't been to Crossways for a meal in a long time. Decided to go for a late lunch as the bistro has a new menu . Food was great value and very tasty. Service was a bit slow on our meals considering it wasn't busy. We ordered the pork schnitzel and the chicken schnitzel burger. Both were worth the wait.

Monday night $12 Cheeseburger and chips. Burger was a good size not massive but a perfect size with the chips. Beats and fast food joints. Chips spot on!

Bonnie’s menu is unappealing. Overpriced food not pub fair anymore. Miss the old menu. Not going back. Waste of money.

New menu is garbage, won't be returning after 2 years of loyalty. It's supposed to be a pub, if I wanted Italian, I'd go to an Italian restaurant. Their new rendition of pizza and the pricing is laughable.

I went their last night for our dad's b'day dinner there were 20 of us. The food was delicious and the bar tenders who poured my long island ice teas with lemonade know how to make cocktails!! Thank you!! Our kids enjoyed the play area and I was also glad to find parking 😀

Went there this evening with a group of 15 Seniors,4 at our table had rump steaks and all were cooked perfectly,every one in the group praised the meals. Could find a better place for the dirty laundry container.

Great food selection. Staff friendly. Kitchen staff are great and present food well. 😋 Off street parking which is awesome. Considering the busy road. Good food portion, tasty and nourishing.

Lost again on pokies. Food is too expensive. Consider annoying Spagetti Bol at $11.99 to the menue. Desert ice cream with jelly $6. How about half serves of mains $12. Make these meals available to unemployed pensioners and senior card people over 65. Denis Field .

The food was amazing... We had the rump steak #wednesdayspecial Brilliant 👌🏼 Only downside to the evening... The table tops were very sticky. Could have done with a clean.

Had my sons after christening event here and was flawless. Food was great, staff amazing. We had function platters and everyone left very satisfied. Bonus there is a playground which kept the kids entertained for hours 😍 thankyou Charlie for making it easy to organise
