We were there party of 8 and to children. All meals not that good . Risotto basically just cooked rice . Playground not clean.

From Adrian’s initial booking to Alex’s flawless coordination and outstanding service by Nathan, Nick, and Jhon, every detail was handled with precision. The staff .. above and beyond: friendly, attentive, efficient, and detail oriented, making our guests and the birthday girl feel truly special. The room’s beautiful styling, with couches, bar tables, soft lighting, candles, and a wood-paneled bar, created the perfect ambiance. Communication was seamless before and during the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and incredibly plentiful, huge thanks to the talented chefs, as our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! Special thanks to Stefan, the security guard, for regularly checking in, ensuring everyone’s safety while having fun and adding an extra layer of care and reassurance. Alex’s follow-up message the next day was the perfect finishing touch. The service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality are unmatched. This isn’t our first function here, and we’ll certainly be back. Huge thanks to the entire team for making this milestone celebration unforgettable! I've been coming to the Olympic Hotel ever since I was 7-8 years old. I'm now 33 and my family still has functions there (xmas, birthdays etc). It's a great place to go for all occasions and it is for all ages. They have an indoor playground for the kids. The foods is always delicious and the staff are all lovely. Would highly recommend going there at least once just for lunch or something.

Thank you to Adrian and the team for putting an excellent function together for my grandmothers wake. I highly recommend the Olympic hotel’s function spaces. The consideration and care that was put into making sure we had a great experience during a difficult time is unmatched. The space itself was beautifully arranged and incredibly comfortable. The special touches were wonderful as well. I cannot recommend the Olympic hotel enough for a function/ event.

Went here for my birthday, we’ve been going each year since I was little with my extended family. Food and Atmosphere was fine, the pub has a nice spacious feel and has been really lovely in previous years with really sweet floor staff . Unfortunately we were treated rudely by an older manager woman, who yelled at me in front of my family while I was mid conversation with my boyfriend and my aunt. It took everyone by surprise, given she accused me of foul language and we were just speaking amongst ourselves in general conversation. Disappointing and upsetting on my birthday, but maybe she was having a bad day or misheard what I was saying. Overall not a terrible experience I just didn’t appreciate her behaviour.

Customer service needs improving

I just want to sincerely thank the Olympic and all of their amazing staff for a job well done during our netball presentation night! This was our second time using their function room, and once again, they did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Serving so many young players is no easy task, but your team handled everything with grace and efficiency. They were not only professional but also engaging and friendly, which created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. I truly appreciated all the hard work that went into ensuring everything went so smoothly. The setup was perfect, and every detail was taken care of without a hitch. The function room itself is spacious, well-equipped, and provides the ideal environment for events like ours. Thank you again for your exceptional service and dedication. We look forward to hosting future events at the Olympic! Highly recommend!

Our group of 8 friends meets there regularly. Good meal, and quiet enough to enable easy conversation.

We had a wonderful evening with friends. Service and staff were faultless. Full table service was great but ... not being able to spilt the bill was so painful. To get cash out we needed to go to the bar to process our cash out request, including a surcharge, then collect our cash from the cash machine. I'd be happier to split the bill and pay a,surcharge.

We recently held our celebration of life service (wake) for our loved one. At very short notice we were able to arrange the function room at the Olympic Hotel, Preston. We booked out the Silver room. We had been to one of the function rooms previously for a 18th Birthday and we really liked it. For our function the venue looked lovely, the Silver room is a very nice room and was setup perfectly, with black table cloths it looked so elegant. It had 5 tables setup for guests to rest and also had lots of lounges and arm chairs for guests. It has a large full service bar. They had ample staff on the day to look after our 50 guests.They were very attentive and were always looking after our guests. I was really happy that they went out of their way to serve each and every guest more than once with the trays of food, coming back over and over to make sure the food was not wasted and guests were looked after. We had so many of our family members comment how the food and the venue and the service was amazing and they did not expect it. Believe us when I say our family members are fussy so a great complement to the Olympic team. The food was excellent and very tasty, it was hot and promptly served. We had an open bar and guests were also well serviced. The Salt and Pepper Calamari was not fake calamari and it was so tender, the arancini balls were also a hit. The olympic was able to accomodate two our guests with special dietary requirements and were not left out. Big thank you to Adrian and his team for helping making a somber event a positive and enjoyable memorable experience.

Anne and her team are always accommodating (we require larger than normal wheelchair access). The service is friendly and welcoming, whilst the menu offers much choice and generous servings.

Went here for sunday lunch. Had the garlic bread roast lamb and my partner had the steak. It was delicious and reasonably priced… drinks were cheaper and the service was great. Have lived here for years and never been here. Will be back

This place was great when we came a few months ago but has definitely changed since then. Food was poor my partner ended up with food poisoning after eating the mushroom ravioli he was throwing up all night (definitely from the meal felt sick 2-3 hours after consuming it throwing up after 6 hours) parmigiana tasted cheap and was soggy only good thing was the chips meals came out separately so my partner had finished his before I even received mine. Service has changed can't even get up to order a drink from the bar have to wait for table service to order anything now! asked for a drink had to wait around 10 minutes before it finally came (there was only around 12 customers in dining room) was trying to get the waitresses attention so we could pay so we could leave 10 minutes later told her we would like to pay so we could leave another 10 minutes go by and she finally told us to go to the counter. Service wasn't very friendly at all Atmosphere was like a nursing home. Loved this place until this. Wouldn't recommend now unless you want food poisoning horrible service and over priced low quality food..

The food is nice although a little bit expensive and we have had to ask for our drinks after we ordered them on more than one occasion . Service can be hit and miss .

Very upset with the service and the food received and paid top dollar and received food that was overcooked end of the day vegetables that were almost turned to mash and I just moved to the area. I’ve contacted the business multiple occasions trying to get through to the owner. Now I’ve gone straight to the media and consumer affairs about the situation. I have made a five phone calls to managers and had no return phone calls at all. I’m so disappointed me and my wife have told all our friends never to go here ever again. Can the owner please talk to your management team about the complaint made over the last couple of weeks and please get in contact with me. I will call again tomorrow to try and work this out. But this is completely unacceptable and terrible behaviour from a business like yours very very disappointed.

Had my daughter's 21st over the weekend in the Function Room 31 below at the Olympic Hotel. The Customer Service I received from the first enquiry phone call regarding availability till the end of the night, is 10 out of 10. Alex and especially Adrian are amazing. Adrian's experience in the industry is apparent and his efforts towards creating this amazing milestone celebration experience is very much appreciated. The Bar staff, Nathan and John and all the waiter staff on the night were friendly and fantastic. It wasn't just a job for them, they went out of their way to look after us and all our guests. The food was piping hot and delicious! The fisrt Canape was served on time and subsequent ones were well timed. Family and Guests were very impressed and are already talking about booking the venue for future events. Thank you for a stress free experience. You will see us again.

Olympic Hotel is great, but the name always reminds me of that silly Aussie girl who should never have Breakdanced in Paris.

We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn't too busy at that time. Service was on point, and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a party of 14 and were all satisfied with our meals. The atmosphere would be 5 stars if only for the poker machine noise which can be heard sometimes. Apart from that, I'll certainly be back again!

Had my daughters 21st birthday in the 31 below room of the Olympic Hotel on Saturday night it was a fantastic experience, very good food selection and heaps of it. When Adrian says no one will go hungry he is right on the money. Adrian went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed from the first time we met. The bar and waiter staff on the night were fantastic went out of their way to look after us and all our guests, great DJ as well got the dance floor jumping all night. I will not hesitate to have another function there will not even look at another place, you won't get better customer service then at the Olympic Hotel.

Attended a Storm Function there last night and it was absolutely amazing. Staff and service was fantastic and the food was delicious.

This is a specific review, I bought two jugs of coke... They cost $36 for both. I generally can't justify the pricing. Everything else was nice though.

Update 9/8/24 Extremely poor service. Staff were running around like headless chooks. No organisation. No direction or leadership. Ordered 1 drink that never got delivered. No staff member was interested in rectifying when brought to their attention and l was told l had to wait. Stars adjusted accordingly. Christmas 2023 Had great experiences here over the last month. Lunch with a friend, work function upstairs and Christmas day too. All meals and staff were fantastic and l would recommend for any occasion

I had a function for a family member here. The lady serving the table was lovely and very accommodating. Although, when I went to get cash out at the bar, I originally got ignored and then when I finally got served there was absolutely no customer service. After I paid on their eftpos machine, the man that served me told me I need to collect it “outside”. I was thrown off guard as I didn’t know what that meant, after asking for further clarification he said that I needed to go to the atm “outside” and get my money. After looking in the outdoor area and not being able to see the ATM , an older curly blonde haired lady came up to me and showed me that it’s actually in the foyer. She proceeded to tell me that I was looking at the wrong machine 3 times, almost mocking my mistake. When she was walking back she mumbled “she may be pretty but she’s got no brains” which a bystander heard and told me. This is absolutely disgraceful and I hope disciplinary actions will be taken to these two workers. Definitely will not be coming back here.

We attended the Olympic tonight for a birthday dinner the food was terrible l had the chicken Parma it was soggy the salad had absolutely no dressing on it, my husband had the fish and chips the fish had no taste again no dressing on salad, my daughter had spaghetti bolognaise and was oily, with the prices that are being charged for meals very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend this venue 👎👎

The lady today at 5pm refused to let us play in the play area while awaiting our booking at 5:30. Very rude. We left immediately. Very disappointing.

Sorry Guys can't tell you much about the food at the Olympic we only went in for drinks and a press on the pokies had the best win and I would say 4out of 6 of us all had really big wins 🏆 on the pokies I myself won $1800 ,Thankyou Universe and Thankyou Angels 😇 ❤️ Great night open until 4am ,Thanx guys for the best customer service I've had in the pokies for a very long time..Would definitely recommend 😀

The steak at Olympic were wonderful as usual. The staff this time went above and beyond in helping to celebrate a birthday. Special thank you to Meredith, Anne and Maria in the bistro and the staff at reception this afternoon!
