Bed Buggs!!! Don’t go there! We both had lots of itchy stings/pimpels on arms and legs in the morning! Even found a little Bedbugg today in our clothes 3, days after the stay and despite washing everything. Noone was arround in the mornig to talk to and the hotel does not answer our messages!

Mein Freund und ich übernachteten vom 15. auf den 16. Januar spontan wegen des Sturmes im Panania Hotel. Was ein grosser Fehler war. Am Morgen waren wir voller Bettwanzen Stiche. Abgesehen davon war auch das Zimmer sonst nicht sonderlich sauber (Schimmel in der Dusche, verstaubter Nachttisch der wohl schon lange nicht mehr geputzt wurde). Die Bettwanzen haben wir nun in unseren Kleidern und versuchen sie irgendwie loszuwerden, was gar nicht so einfach ist, wenn man herumreist… Das Hotel antwortet auf unsere Nachricht nicht, weshalb ich halt hier nochmals die Bewertung schreibe. Ich würde das Hotel keinem zum übernachten empfehlen! (Die Drinks an der Bar waren jedoch sehr lecker und zum Essen kann ich nichts sagen, da wir dies nicht probiert haben) Ich bin nicht Jemand der gerne schlechte Bewertungen abgibt, jedoch sind wir mehr als enttäuscht, da uns nichtmal geantwortet wird. Tauscht doch bitte eure Matratzen aus und reinigt die Zimmer… Sowas ist echt widerlich und enttäuschend, dass man für sowas noch so viel Geld bezahlen muss…

Came here for lunch on new years day, food was excellent, kids indoor playground and facilities are great. Staff are so friendly and nice vibe.

The pizzas are great and I highly recommend them.

Mini staycation for the family. Location was not ideal in the sense that it wasn't close to the motorway and it was considerable travel time from Panania Hotel to say for example Illawong or even Lugarno - it'd have been quicker for us to travel to Lugarno from our place of residence at Penrith.Nonetheless enjoyed exploring the area, was impressed with the service and food at Panania Hotel.

Very disappointed with the pepperoni pizza. So much crap oil. Cardboard tastes better.

Not too bad with nice facilities downstairs. Accomodation rooms were advertised as updated which was not the case at all.

The food and drinks are well priced and good. The staff are courteous and friendly. There was a range of disappointing issues with the accommodation which we raised by email after an early morning departure. We received a call from Tammy almost immediately after the email was sent. Tammy handled our complaint with professionalism and understanding. She is a credit to the establishment and I hope the owners listen to her when she passes on our concerns. One of the issues was 'no hot water ' and I see this mentioned repeatedly in reviews here and on Booking.com. It's poor form to know an issue exists and then continue to accept bookings without rectifying the problem. A hot shower in a clean bathroom is a basic requirement of any guest. PH failed on these issues and by the looks of things, repeatedly. Poor form.

A good local pub. Good menu with plenty options to choose from, friendly staff. Plenty seating options. Good food and generous servings.

The room & bathrooms in the hotel were good. Clean and comfortable. staff are decent. However during my stay, there was an alleged robbery that occurred causing me to wait outside in the cold until 4:30am. I only got 5 hours of sleep the night before and had a long exhausting day so the situation was extremely frustrating. I was visiting Sydney from Melbourne meaning I had no where else to go, not even the cops were allowed to go get my stuff for me upstairs while the place was being searched down stairs. Worst part is no one told me when it was safe to go back inside & so I just had to assume it was okay after the last police car left. Even more frustrating, I got woken up by staff the next morning because they still expected me to check out at 10/11am? I should have at least been allowed to check out later due to the ordeal, 6 hours sleep after having a long day and a stressful night is not good enough. I know it’s not any of the staff, or anyone’s fault directly that this happened but it was handled extremely poorly

I stay at a fair few motels in Sydney for work over 10years worst. I am now going to leave the motel 1 day into 4 day trip. Thin walls next to train station. Feel all the springs and mold in the bathroom.

One of the worst hotels I've had the privilege of staying at. Large room with the creakiest bed I've ever been in. The TV on the walls with cables draped over it didn't work. The shower pressure was non existent, just a sad trickle of ice cold water to wash in (great for whim hoff fans) Lovely interaction with the hourly train schedule as the room rattles like hell Redeemed only by the somewhat reasonable price

We worked in the area so decided to stop by for dinner. The place is very welcoming and perfectly located next to Panania Station. Also parking available on the street. As it was a Wednesday itl was Schnitzel Night with dishes starting at $16 plus extra for various toppings. There was also a specials menu which had great options and of course a very extensive pub grub menu. Dining area is large and friendly and has access to a playing area for kids. The playing area is CCTV monitored so parents can see where and what the kids are up to which is very clever. Steven - the manager- was walking the floor and greeted us and explained all the menu options we had. He is very friendly and made us feel welcome. Bar staff also very lovely. We all opted for the Schnitzel and some sides. Portions were generous and good value for money. Unfortunately we were so hungry that I forgot to take any pictures of the meals! But I am sure we'll be back when we are in the area against will follow up on this.

Highly recommend for any function! Padam the head chef & Tammy the function coordinator both came in on their day off to make sure my event ran smoothly. Food was delicious!!! Huge indoor play area and a face painter - kept all the children entertained. Five ⭐️

Been coming to this pub for over 30 years and seen many changes. Good modern pub with good beer and food.

Food and service is always great . The park is always clean for the kids . The Hotel is always clean . We will definitely go back

What happened to the Chicken Bocconcini Pizza & Beef Brisket Nachos? I ordered those like 75% of the times. They were absolutely delicious & for whatever weird reason, it's been done away with. Disappointed

Good local hotel with affordable bar and meal prices… bands are great! Saw Bon but not forgotten recently. Great show!

Great Atmosphere, Loved steak and pepper sauce.

Great place for dinner especially on Thursdays where kid's meal are half price! The kids playground is just next to the restaurant.

The hotel has been redone and is fantastic. Very clean and the rump steak is amazing.

Great food, nicely renovated. Great area for the kids to play in and keep them entertained. Saturday night brings some live music which is a great bonus

It was very busy my son had a bad tantrum.. But it was still amazing time after tantrums where finished. Kids feel very very welcomed in the bistro section, The play area is actually amazing I didn't realise how big it is until I went in with my son as his only just turned 3. It was clean despite there being like 30 kids food was good to the kids meals great price and value ! I'll be back for sure !!!

I didn’t stay at the hotel I only came to try the food which was excellent my friend said that there steak was a bit salty but other than that it was alright I like the atmosphere that the place has being next to the station is great for those who don’t drive and there’s a park for the kids what more could you ask for really.

Food was very slow to come out. Half the food sat there for almost fifteen minutes waiting on the rest. The food was ok. Wasn’t impressed that the chef popped the chips in my bowel then started eating them then licked his finger n started plating someone elses food. Needs better management

What a dissappinting experience. The stupidly high priced food was definitely nothing to rave about with Boss Burgers hitting a new LOW. The management compared to pre renovation times was shocking. Us locals miss the old panania pub. Just a shame what this place has turned into.

Unless your only going to eat there I don’t recommend going! Our room to stay unfortunately had bed bugs, me and my sister ended up covered in bits! We weren’t impressed as this was our first time staying in Sydney, it was so bad that one night we slept on the floor absolutely horrible, and the only thing they did for us was refund our money there was no complications for any of our clothes we had to wash, the bug spray we had to buy and the extra money we had to spend to get another accomodation. Also forgot to mention the bathroom situation is absolutely gross The food was nice tho but we won’t be going back sorry (we had no time to take photos we needed to get the hell out of there)

Good pokie area, polite staff, convenient location, excellent clean hotel rooms (though a little bit pricey), bathrooms upstairs are a bit outdated, not too crowded and overall a good pub and hotel. Awesome.

Not a bad little hotel, with incredibly family friendly surrounds. Food is average, with fairly small serving sizes considering what you pay for and considering what's around in this area. However, prawns were nice, and burger was plain but OK. If you want to take your family out for a quick meal, this is a nice place for you.

Rooms were not cleaned and the showers toilets need a deep clean but the staff in the pub are really nice and helpful

Came to the PUB for a drink and dinner with a friend. We were confronted by screaming of the lambs. Pet sperm running every where uncontrolled by there drunk parents. I expected more from a pub. Great food but would recommend the food

Food wasn't nice. Oily & expensive. You are paying for their Reno's. No Pool tables. No big screens in anywhere but tab.

The food is always top notch and the kids play area is a bonus. I do think it’s strange that on Sunday they have a face painter for the kids, with UFC playing in the back ground. You spend your life telling your kids that violence is bad, but then they sit watching two people beat each other bloody while having their lunch. Not ideal.

A bit seedy. Very basic rooms with no toilet / shower in the room. My door wouldn't lock. The toilet didn't have a lock or a lightbulb. The staff were friendly. But the rooms are directly above the Tabaret, so when the venue downstairs is closed... all the exiting patrons were a bit raucous. Also, due to half the rooms facing the train station, you get to hear all the station announcements from 6am. The food is good and not badly priced, and the dining area is clean, as is the furniture. The location of the venue is super handy - being so close to the train station.

1 person on the bar on a Friday Night. Good took 40 mins to come out.

We had our son’s 4th birthday at the Bistro today. It was amazing. Daniel and his team did a great job. Beautiful service and nice food. They prepared the tables in advance with white cloths, and they helped us inflate all the balloons using their Helium tank. It was like a semi private birthday and the kids had an amazing time in their new playground. Highly recommended!

Really easy place to hang out with the kids. I do think they need a proper parent room with a feeding chair though. Also, we had to walk a fair bit to order food and leave the kids unattended as the counter is in a whole separate area to the sitting and playground area, so it's inconvenient to order. Other then that, service was good and food was good

Have only visited the pub but thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. Vegan substitutions are available but would love to see some more! Location is pretty good as well with ample parking and right next to the Panania train station.
