Thank you to Lionel, very helpful and kind salesman. Helped me get a mattress today and informed me on the real details I’d need, he didn’t just try to just sell me the most expensive mattress but asked me what I specifically needed. Leaving this review so people know the in person customer service here is great and hope Mr Lionel gets some recognition.
We went to Harvey Norman Penrith to buy a laptop and was served by Jack. Jack went above and beyond helping us and was very friendly and helpful. Jack is an asset to the Harvey Norman team.

Visited to purchase a laptop after receiving terrible customer service at a large retailer in Westfield. The staff member Brayden who assisted me was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly and quickly, turning what could have been a frustrating situation into a hassle-free process. Great experience in purchasing new TVs
I am very impressed with the service given us today by Matia in the bedding section of the Penrith store. Had a very stressful experience today talking to a floor manager in the technology section regarding a purchase. He was rude in his manner and said “How do I know you haven’t used it!” There was no basic civility in his approach and there is no way I will be returning to this store. I can understand the situation but being rude and dismissive is unnecessary. Beware of the fine print in this stores return/exchange policy. If you are buying an Apple product there is a big difference in the return policy of this store and buying directly from Apple.

There has been all kinds of hiccups with programs not being ready for AI, but between Aaron and Riley it was all sorted. Thanks again for your infinite patience with me trying to do things myself and getting confused about the installs not working. I bought a $1300 coffee machine click and collect. I have paid and received the product but nearly 2 weeks later and they still won't issue a tax invoice. I have used multiple avenues to sort out the issue and no one has fixed the issue. Their live chat just blames the shop and says it will be received in a few days, but ten days later, nothing. They have offered no assurances so I will be forced to consider legal options going forward.
WARNING - DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCT CARE - This is an absolute rort and you are wasting your money in doing so. The sales people claim is covers you for all manner of things until it comes time to claim, only to find out it covers what the original manufacturers warranty covers anyway. Absolutely PATHETIC! Do not fall for this sham.
Do not shop with them. These guys dont know customer service.

I wish I had the name of the young man who served me. He went out of his way to assist me. He searched high and low, but unfortunately, due to people stealing the Hubbl device I was after, I was unable to purchase one. Instead, I purchased a deep fryer lol. Great customer service. Thank you 😃
Do not be fooled into purchasing anything from Harvey Norman. I purchased a Sealy bed with a major defect. The springs were very noisy and springing into my back. I was lied to and told I had to accept a repair or refund whatever they chose. However I only had the bed for less than a month and noticed the problem the first night. They then made me go through the manufacturer and the issue has not been resolved. If I wanted to buy a cheap defective mattress I would buy a second hand one for $20. I paid $750 only to be ripped off. I will be seeking help from the accc but this could take weeks and Harvey Norman refuse to deal with the issue in the proper way and simply refund me.
Waited 15 minutes for the item to come out to the receiving dock after paper work was given to the office.

I recently purchased a bourbon 6 seater lounge and the sales consultant at the time of purchase stipulated there was a $300 gift card promotion attached to the purchase of over $3000.00. The lounge purchased with delivery was $3300.00, at the time of purchase the consultant did not communicate clearly that the gift card promotion was only for latitude payment methods. As when discussed payment I asked the consultant if I pay this fee upfront would the offer still stand, I was told directly yes, that any payment method would include the promotion provided it was over $3k. I left the store and was told post delivery to come and collect the card. I arrived back into the store only to find out that the card promotion deal has not been saved into my invoice, and that the promotion deal was only for lattitude payment methods. The store staff also stipulated that the promotion was only for weekend deals and the couch was purchased on the Friday. I advised the staff that no mention of promotion being weekend related was communicated at all to me during the payment process and that I was told directly by the sales consultant the $300 gift card would apply and if this was not accurate then there was no communication from a business perspective to offer me to come back the next day so that the promotion on the gift card would then be applicable. Deeply dissatisfied and disappointed with the communication, staff help and service, I received throughout the sales of this lounge. Although the gift card is not everything, it is the principle of communication that matters, the sales consultant should not mention offers or ineffectively offer promotions that aren't applicable and then advise upon business payments that they are. When I approached staff in store to correct this matter of the offer which was communicated to me, the deal was not honoured and I won't be shopping with this store or organisation again.
Riley was awesome and such a good chat with a friendly, upbeat customer service attitude. Helped sort out a new phone and case. Highly recommend and definitely ask for him for help if you need any.

Have spent well over 100k of goods from them in the past 3 years with our business and customer recommendations, but have had a issue with a damaged TV and grant the franchisee has been no help at all. Wouldn't replace or repair it even though it wasn't our fault as it came out of the box like that. Will be taking my clients and my business else as a result of this.
I visited Harvey Norman Penrith about a month ago, accompanying others during their purchase. We only visited the tech area, which was well-organized and easy to navigate. This was also my first time at a Harvey Norman store. The staff were great. One employee was very helpful and knew exactly what to do. Since the item we were looking for wasn’t on display, he quickly went out back to grab the item. The store was pretty quiet, and the checkout process was quick and smooth. When the employee offered a warranty, I explained to the people I was with that it might be worth considering, and they agreed to add it to their purchase. There was plenty of parking available, so getting in and out of the store was convenient. The people I was with bought a Switch and were satisfied with their purchase. Overall, my experience was positive, and while I haven’t visited other Harvey Norman locations, this one left a great impression.
Kelvin at the South Penrith store went above and beyond with after sales service of our Samsung TV. We couldn't quite figure it out so he drove up IN HIS LUNCH HOUR to set things to right. Five stars are not enough for this kind of service.
A huge complex with friendly and knowledgeable staff
I recently purchased an undermount Franke sink, but unfortunately, the benchtop I have is not compatible with this type of sink. As a result, I had to exchange it for a top-mount sink. Despite being a long-time customer who has spent over $50,000 at Harvey Norman, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled by the store manager, Kevin. He imposed a 20% restocking fee, even though the box had only been opened. Additionally, I was charged the full price for the top-mount sink ($1,535), without receiving the usual discount I am accustomed to. Kevin's behavior was unprofessional and, frankly, rude. Given my experience, I am reconsidering whether to continue shopping at Harvey Norman in the future.
We shopped here a couple of months ago and bought a fridge, washing machine and some kitchen appliances. Kevin served us; he was really knowledgeable and helped us determine what was best for us without being pushy. He stayed back after his shift ended to finalise the sale, and even helped us carry the kitchen items to our car, as my partner had a broken leg. Excellent service and really went the extra mile. Thank you Kevin! We had our large appliances delivered on the weekend (bought Thursday, delivered Saturday); the team was running late but communicated with us. Unpacked, unwrapped and installed the washing machine.
We have been waiting for 4 weeks to have our home entertainment unit delivered , we have rang five times to chase up on it as we were advised it would be two weeks from purchase date . We advised every time it should be delivered to our house , today we haven’t received any correspondence from the store about delivery for tomorrow, I rang the store who advised that they have marked it for pick up and we will again miss the window for delivery . Unprofessional and not happy , we are at the point now of never using this store for anything going forward in future

I had some issues with my mattress the day is under warranty. A staff by the name of Bronwyn Rehmann assisted us and was very helpful and pleasant. She went to a lot of trouble assisting is . Thank you to Harvey Norman I highly recommend her.
I brought a fridge from Harvey Norman Penrith. Great service in store. The fridge was being delivered. I had a phone call today at 5:42 in the morning saying will be there in 20 minutes. As well My daughter had a fridge delivered back on the 13/7/ By the same people on a Saturday, she got a phone call at 6:15 in the morning Disgusting. How about you Try delivering peoples goods with business hours? Not happy

Bought a laptop from Aaron at Harvey Norman PENRITH, last year, received exceptional service back then. One year later. The laptop malfunctioned and we went back to claim product care. Luckily we met Aaron again and received the same exceptional service from him. He was very understanding, gave us all the time we needed. I would highly recommend!
Not 1 but 2 different salespeople assisted us during our look around this store, and although there is a store closer to where we live this store had better customer service. We ended up making a purchase from here of several items with a price that was hard to beat, and delivery price under $100 included installation and removal of packaging 📦 since the store has their own recycling system in place. Thank you to Jared and the female sales representative (sorry didn't catch your name) who assisted us in the store, and thank you also to the delivery guys for their prompt and friendly service - they also ensured we tested the installed products before they left to ensure we were happy with everything.

Received an LG Dishwaher that was faulty. Not the stores fault so thats OK. Machine was repaired on site using older parts. Never used. I made a compliant online and have called the store a number of times. Ive had to repeat the story over and over to different people and have been promised return calls that dont come. Even today the staff member promised the manager would call me back, she didnt. Ive now got a brand new Dishwasher, never used, sitting here for 2 months waiting on a replacement.

Fraud is one word to describe Harvey Norman Penrith. Purchased a nebula projector 3 about six month ago. At the time of purchase, the staff suggested that I purchase the additional product care and if something goes wrong with the product, I will get a replacement on the spot without worrying about sending the product for repair/inspection. I did purchase the product care and the projector now doesn’t work. When I returned the projector for replacement, the manager refused to replace it saying they have to book it in for inspection and refused their promise of replacement as if it never was promised. The manager saying that the product care will come into effect once the manufacturer warranty expires, again I wasn’t told about this at the time of purchase. The manager couldn’t prove his point because on the invoice, it only shows the expiry date of the product care not the start date or the date from which it will be effective. When asked to send me an email confirming he won’t replace the product, the manager said he can’t do that. This is simply because they know they are fraud. I will make sure I take this further so they can’t do this to their future customers.

I ordered a samsung smart hub fridge in Dec 2023 26th. They said, the waiting will be 2 weeks. Iam calling since then, and they were saying, they don't know the exact date. The expectations from Harvey Norman with such a good reputation for customer service a ere disappointing. The waiting game continues,guys beware before ordering any appliance. We can't trust whatever they says...
