Great staff, great meal

We really enjoy dining at Tavern 540. We always find the food delicious!! Good value and the waiting staff are always efficient and friendly.

We took members of the Hungarian Aged and Invalid Persons in SA Club , a total of 71 people, to the bistro at 540 Tavern for a buffet lunch today. The variety of food was amazing, but most of all, it was super delicious and plentiful. The service, as always, was efficient, friendly and very accommodating. We personally, have been there many times since some friends of ours introduced us to this establishment and we have NEVER been disappointed. We highly recommend this Bistro to everyone and anyone. This amazing team, which consists of Italian mama Dani, the head chef, and her three sons Nick, Steve and Marco do an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome. Well done to you all, you deserve 10 stars and not only the 5 stars I was able to give here in this review. On behalf of our members, we thank you for a fantastic experience. Spectacular food at a very reasonable price , friendly charasmatic waiters great venue

Staff taking the food order was rude and condescending, food came out quickly but had no flavour and had to put on huge amounts of salt and pepper to make it palatable. The worst and over priced parmy at $29 I’ve ever had, don’t have a single nice thing to say about our experience. Do not come here

Probably the worst parmy I’ve had in a very long time. Tried to capture a photo of how much salt and pepper we had to put on it to give it some flavour. Chef should be embarrassed! Staff were rude and poorly groomed.

Food tonight for our Xmas party was absolutely delicious. Every meal was well presented and well worth the money. Compliments from everyone. Bar staff were fun and friendly.

People ordered before me had to wait 40 minutes after I got my meal to get theirs and theirs was easier to make than mine

2022 One Keto eatery I would 💯 recommend. Lovely staff, clean premises, and the menu was amazing! The prices were pretty good. Plenty of Parking Highly recommend 2024 December Again. . It is a cafe near my house, the infrastructure is good and modern, the food is good. but there is a woman chef who shouts a lot and challenges the waiters... the truth is, she is very unpleasant and I don't know if I will return.….

Although far from home, Tavern 540 offers 2 menus, a normal menu, and a ketogenic menu. sorry I didn't take PLEASE NOTE.... the 2 photos attached are not at Tavern 540. It's just a recommendation for a small play area for small children.

Absolutely amazing, for anyone on low carb or keto, dont give them a miss, honestly amazing!

Food options looked amazing for dining, the premise was clean and atmosphere was laid back/relaxed but…. We arrived at 7:30pm and were told their kitchens were closed which was 30 minutes before their actual closing time. Half the dining area was still filled with people.. just shit form for customer service if you’re looking for returning patrons.

This restaurant was amazing on hot way through the service was amazing and everyone was very friendly and happy to be there Highly recommend

Snitty special on Tuesdays...are always great! In taste & texture. I go there frequently, the pasta dishes are just as good. Keep up the great service! Tasted the new menu item, Choc Mousse. Delightful, light in texture, crusted base, mouse filling and topped with a sweet layer, just enough sweetness for a well-rounded desert. Absolutely good!

Great low carb meals

the peach margarita is DIVINE and garlic bread is so good, so buttery and salty the decorations are a little bland but it’s clean and well looked after, some of the staff are oddly standoffish sometimes

Great lunch specials. Had the Chicken wrap 🌯 and it was very tasty and good portion size.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service at Tavern 540. I'm extremely local to the area but hadn't stopped by before, but headed in for a birthday dinner recently. The portions (including the starters) were generous for the price, and were all really well cooked and tasty. We went for classic pub food (schnitzels/steaks), but the menu had lots of options. They also had a low carb menu. The service was also very fast and incredibly helpful and friendly. I'm excited to go back to check out some of their specials.

Underdale High original 1965 students reunion. 30 of us had a tressel with various items like party pies,sausage rolls,salads, cheese, fruit, shaslicks etc.A nice smorgasbord.

Great vibes and we had a wonderful family dinner tonight. Knowledgeable staff helped us pick dairy free options from their menu and were just lovely. Great value too.

Cozy pub situated on Port Road. Food was great, they have daily specials under $25. Cocktails were amazing!

Fish and chips was sensational. All you can ask is a quality product cooked properly. It was Brilliant. Sat outside, no loss of service, great lunch.

Kitchen closed quite early on a Saturday. Just after 8pm

5 stars! Tavern 540 has an awesome Keto menu available, which is really tasty, generous in serving size and very reasonably priced. The service we received from the Manager was fantastic and super friendly, and he's really knowledgeable about keto. Options to eat outside or inside in a relaxed environment, run by a family team. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

The low carb pizzas are great! Wish I found this place sooner. They’re a little pricey but so worth it to be able to enjoy takeaway pizza with diabetes 👍 I ate a whole pizza and low carb dessert with no blood sugar issues

Low carb and keto heaven with an entire dedicated menu! Ambience isn't its strong point, but it is a tavern I guess. Regardless, it's a must-try if you're looking into low carb for health or weight loss, or just want a night off cooking low carb yourself. Food has been great every time

Good food reasonable priced nice surroundings

A couple of weeks ago I was driving past and decided to dope in for a meal. I mentioned I had no booking, young man said ok and shown me to a table. This place is amazing the food is delicious the service is top-notch they make you feel like a celebrity and is just one of the most nicest places I have been. Food wise really great portions, food brought out in 25minutes. The service was great. I highly recommended this place. Cosi Director Cavbiz.

Chicken schnitzel lunch special $18.90. Prompt and polite service from bar and bistro. Portion size great, food looked and tasted lovely. Definitely worth returning 👍

Great place. Close to home too. We tried the Wednesday pasta special and it was great. It's a good pub to visit again !!!!!
