The function room was absolutely fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Lovely food, everything needed. Would highly recommend.

Attractive venue. Large bistro area, wide menu, good service. A small Cafe for light snacks and meals. Also a sports bar and poker machine area.

Had a great experience, had a couple issues with the machines and the lovely Amber staff member answered my questions and I found to be so friendly and professional. 5 stars to her!!!

Great atmosphere and this RSL does so much to assist the veterans who have given so mush of their lives in the defense of this country. The food is good, the atmosphere is great and you always see the patrons enjoying themselves in there. You would find it very hard pressed to find a better venue to eat, drink, socialize and watch your favorite sports on the big screens in Hueys. As I don't gamble, I cannot comment on the gambling aspect. A great place to meet, and as a veteran, a great support for us.

Great meal

On Friday 9th September 2022. I went to Frankston RSL. I was welcomed by Maureen. Kiana and Darcy served us and Dean prepared/cooked our food. Chicken Parma and Pork Roast with Gravy, Chocolate Mud Cake with Cream, Sticky Date Pudding with Butter Scotch Sauce and Ice cream, Lemon, Lime and Bitters. We met Michael who was happy to hear that I enjoyed the food and customer service. I would highly recommend this place to our friends and family.

Always tremendous

Generally well run. Occasionally, not enough bar staff to cope with customers. Typical pub meals.

Great place for a coffee & cake or snack well presented. Plenty of room to choose where to sit. Cosy corners or large tables for groups.

I'm disappointed that they don't have seniors' meals on a Sunday

January 25th Went for dinner Chicken parmigiana The parmigiana tasted so awfull and was thin The ham tasted so cheap and a tad old The parmigiana was nuclear hot 🔥even to the end of the meal , chips were cold and portion was small . Came her a few years back and food was same Never again grossssssss

Unfortunately I have to amend my previous review below from 5 stars to 1 star because of the pathetically small portions of food received on my visit there on Thursday 23 January 2025. Ordered the main roast of the day NOT THE SENIORS MENU and only got TWO miserable slices of lamb. One of my friends ordered the SENIORS grilled fish and got ONE tiny piece of barramundi. The other ordered the SENIORS chicken schnitzel and received a small HALF of a chicken schnitzel. Now I know these were seniors meals but come on Frankston RSL surely you can do better than that! Maybe we were unlucky to be there on the day when the chef was useless. However will not be eating there again. There are other much better RSLs that treat their paying customers with more respect. Food standard has dropped dramatically from my previous visit. Very disappointed because the staff and pokies and bar and cafe are great. But avoid the bistro until they get less niggardly with their food portions. One of the best RSLs in Melbourne. You can tell by the huge carpark that it is very popular. The bistro's food is excellent and if you only feel for something light then check out Nancy's Cafe. The gaming room and Sports bar is great and they also have a pizza restaurant only open on certain nights. The only disappointing feature is that there is NO seniors menu on weekends and public holidays.

Had my 40th birthday here. Staff, food and venue were brilliant. Couldn’t fault anything. 10/10 recommend for anyone wanting to hold a function, the CP’s function space is perfection!

Lovley staff. Worst food & overpriced. Don't waste your money. Kids fish & chips stunk & tasted too strong & batter was thick & gluggy on the inside. Meat lovers Parma tough with soggy toppings. Vego Parma is mashed up veggies and crumbed. Other parmas very average. Definitely won't go back which is a shame.

Great service

We took my mother there for lunch and it was much better than I expected and remembered.

The food my table ordered was alright, the Parma wasn’t great though and the drinks were a touch expensive but the service was wonderful and so was the atmosphere. Our food did arrive a bit later than expected but wasn’t ridiculously late. The desserts were great and I loved the mango gelato.

Been to Frankston RSL twice now and both times my food has been perfect. With the first time ordering the scotch fillet steak it was amazing that I ordered it again the second time round and can say both times it has been consistent and tasty. As the steak is chargrilled on a grill you can really taste it when you bite into the steak which really enhances the steaks flavour. Both times I’ve ordered it, it has come out perfectly cooked. Which I love when the chefs can get it right the first time. I also ordered a kids fish and chips for my son and had a taste and even that was tasty. My son devoured it all. I’m yet to try all the other food they have to offer but I honestly don’t think I’ll order anything but the steak.

Order roast lamb, was so thick it could have been a steak & was like chewing leather, friend ordered fish & chips, ate her chips cos fish tasted funky, & they have the cheek to add a surcharge cos it’s a public holiday. Won’t recommend to anyone & won’t be returning

Very nice food, good service our table of 8 were advised that a large booking would be ordering soon so we went and ordered promptly and had a lovely meal.

This was an amazing Venue for our Christmas Party. Everyone had a fantastic night. The team of staff looking after us were so friendly and helpful. So easy to organize. I would highly recommend booking your function here.

We held our end of year event at Frankston RSL. As always, the entire process and communication was faultless. The staff make it all so easy. The food was great, the pricing is fair and the staff friendly. Highly recommended!

Extremely unfriendly staff. From the moment we entered till the moment we left. Give your money to the Seaford RSL instead.

Disgraceful Experience at Frankston RSL We recently hosted a private function at Frankston RSL, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was appalling. Upon entry to our private room, we were met with aggression from one female staff member, setting an unpleasant tone right from the start. The night continued to deteriorate, largely due to the unacceptable behavior of one female bar staff member. Despite 15 people waiting to be served, she was completely disconnected, showing no interest in her duties or the guests. Her lack of professionalism was shocking and deeply disappointing. To make matters worse, the RSA security guard intruded on our private function and completely ruined our night. He disrupted our awards ceremony, choosing to police the evening with what felt like a personal agenda. His decision to wrestle a colleague over a drink on the dance floor was beyond excessive and unacceptable. This unnecessary aggression gave the rude bar staff an excuse to shut the bar, abruptly ending our event and leaving our guests frustrated and upset. What could have been a great night in a nice venue was utterly spoiled by poor staff and security. Their disgraceful behavior soured our event, and we strongly recommend avoiding Frankston RSL for any function. Our experience was absolutely disgusting, and we left furious. Glen Doorey

I had the beef stir fry, the serving size was small, an $24, l didn't eat it, it was awful. Garlic bread, $11 for 3 small slices of bread.

Never had a bad meal. Meals are big, and quick service.

At the Disney trivia night air-conditioning was terrible food was average

Nice suburban RSL with plenty of free on site parking. The food is consistent and the staff friendly. The main dining area requires booking well in advance, but we always sit in the bar area-the seats are more comfortable, you can order from the same menu, and no bookings required.

Stopped for lunch had Shepard's pie very nice, but it could have been a bit warmer. Still fill a spot and washed it down with tea.

Went to the venue on cup day. A good day out turned sour by discriminating bar staff.

Terrible place to go to

I recently dined at this establishment and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. Firstly, the atmosphere was marred by some incredibly abusive patrons towards my kids, which made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The type clientele in general that goes there. The dress code after 7 PM is baffling. It’s strange that you can stroll in wearing tracksuits before 7, but suddenly have to adhere to a more formal attire after that time. It felt arbitrary and unnecessary. My son couldn't get in wearing the same type of clothing where his friends came in before 7... As for the food, it was overpriced and below average. I expected more for the price, but what we received didn’t justify the cost. Overall, I won’t be returning. I have no interest in being part of this elitist atmosphere 🤪. There are plenty of better options out there that cater to families and don’t impose ridiculous rules. Save your time and money—look elsewhere!

Only one (1) irated server in the sports bar area. Massive establishment space wise. Amazing food, beer and wine. Very spacious. Customer service B+. Environment on a Friday arvo AA.

Had an event held here over the weekend in the CP restaurant. Beautiful venue for casual gathering with friends and family, so much space to mingle with ample seating at the same time. The private playground for the kids is great too. Susan and the RSL team looking after us on the day were so helpful and and accomodaing. Would recommend

I had the butter chicken pie. The chicken had been vitamised and was dry with the consistency of mashed up cardboard. If it had not been for the curry sauce, it would’ve been inedible. It was slightly bigger than a normal pie and was served with mash and a little bit of greenery and was $32. I thought for what I got it was extremely overpriced.

Great meal and service, very welcoming, will be visiting again.
