We had an amazing experience here but the highlight was Nik’s exceptional service! From the moment we walked in, he was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The steak was delicious as well. Nik’s warm demeanor and professionalism truly made our visit memorable. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and it’s clear that he’s a star on the team.

Located in Prahran, this hugeee pub serves up elevated pub classics and refined options, making it a must-visit spot. We tried the much-hyped Tuesday Steak Special for $24, and it certainly lived up to expectations. The medium-rare sirloin was cooked perfectly—tender, lean, with a great char and minimal fat. The crispy chips were perfectly salted, and the béarnaise sauce was tasty (though not my favourite). The side salad was fresh and balanced, complementing the dish nicely. Overall, this is an excellent steak deal for the price, and I’d definitely return, whether I was local or just passing through. Service was friendly and fast, making the experience even better. Sunday Roast was disappointing. Pork was 60% fat. 10% crakling, and only 30% actually meat. I know it's only $25, But still, you feel a little ripped off. Potatoes were ok, red cabbage tasty, gravy was good. Alot of much better roasts in Melbourne for similar price.

Came here as a family of 4 with a toodler and a 4 year old. Food was great. They even had colouring in for the kids. Best part as you know kids don't eat all their food and they packed it up for us so it wouldn't go to waste. Service was fantastic and super helpful with pram.

Can’t fault the place, every time we go the food is on point, the service is next to none all the team know what’s going on, it’s always busy and the team take it in their stride always have smiles on their faces. Bartenders are cheerful and quick. If you are looking for a good pub with a great crowed and a amazing team, look no further

Went on a Friday night, as we walked into the front bar section, we were hit with a strong fish market smell at the end of a hot day. The staff were friendly, drinks were good, but just the smell was off putting

Quite oysters and steak afternoon deals in a cosy although noisy atmosphere, I loved their indoor outdoor area and fair quality prices, meat in my opinion was overcooked, enjoyable hours time anyway, recommend for groups overall

I had one of the best Tuesday steak (Sirloin) nights in Melbourne at Mount Eric Hotel. I ordered a medium-rare steak, and it was cooked exactly how I wanted—crispy on the outside and perfectly medium-rare inside. The taste was fantastic, and I have to give credit to the chefs for their excellent work. The chips were equally impressive, fresh, and cooked in clean oil, which made a big difference. Special shoutout to Katie, who took our order. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was vibrant, packed with people, and had such lovely vibes. Highly recommend this spot for a great steak night! Thank you 😊

So the below is a review I wrote a year ago but I’ve been pack to Mt Erica 5 times since then and wanted to come back to edit and give the team 5 stars for their food, atmosphere and service. The change in service here is impressive. The team are great! They’re friendly and helpful, just what you want to be greeted with as a customer. Make sure you book ahead for their Tuesday Steak Night special! 😍 Previous review from 2023. The food is always delicious here, even when you go there for their specials! The decor amazing! But, I can’t say that I would rate the service here. I wouldn’t expect to be greeted with a smile or with any warmth. It’s such a shame that the service is so lax even on the cusp of being rude from the time you enter to the time you exit. If the service improved I’d go more often but until then there’s plenty of other pubs & restaurants with delicious food and amazing decor with much better service for my friends and I to go to.

Possibly the best pub food in the south east right now

Had a wonderful double birthday celebration for two family members at Mount Erica Hotel yesterday. Food was delicious, lovely wines and great seating options are available both inside and outside. Our group of older and younger diners all had a wonderful time. A really big, special thank you to Darius who looked after us so well and and definitely made all the difference to our visit. Highly recommend this venue and will be back soon.

I dropped in for a quick lunch while I waited for my daughter to finish an interview. Had the Cheese Burger and Chips. No delays, cooked to perfection, some of the best chips I've had in a long time. I don't photograph that I'm eating, takes too much time 😀

Such a great pub! It feels wrong to even refer to it as a pub as the food is superb. Great customer service too, we have been here many times and will continue to do so.

A somewhat hidden pub gem in Prahran. A bit on the higher end side but with a classic pub feel. Food was amazing, as were the cocktails & service. Must try the chicken snitzel & crab linguine. Highly recommend

Folks it's a pub! Albeit filled with middle class white folks... It's a pub. Prices are exorbitant but they have the best burger and chips this side of the river Friday's are to busy, usually full of entitled rich white men in Mercs. It gets too noisy but the food great Sometimes the staff is too stressed but overall, I kick back with a glass of wine and tone out entitled white noise.

Nice pub, bigger than it looks from the outside. Overall the food was great quality but I had to absolutely slather my slaw (ordered schnitzel) with the lemon in order to drown the wasabi taste. What an offensively overpowering thing to use in a salad dressing, it’s such an acquired taste and usually that kind of thing would be on the side of a dish. The chicken was cooked well and the bocconcini was a nice touch. Also a great range of cocktails

A waiter called Adrian made an incredible impression upon us. He made the entire dining experience incredible from start to finish. Warm, funny, inclusive and a pure delight! Our family cannot wait to return. Many thanks

Lovely Sunday Roast. Great food. We have been a few times and the same observation, the food is not warm enough. I realise you expect high numbers of order for it, but you need to be able to serve it warmer.

The service at this place was fantastic! I called on a Thursday to make a Saturday booking for 14 people and Andrew the host was so accomodating and helped us out. The service was great and we were looked after the whole night. We had a great time, thanks to Andrew and to our server that night!

Got a Guiness beer and some nibbles. Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon and will definitely return

Very nice ambience. Nice big area with different places to sit and enjoy. Food was amazing, service was incredible. We had a server called Pan and he could not have done any better. Very helpful, thorough and attentive.

Such a gorgeous venue! Modern but still has its charm! I’ve been there for starters and cocktails, in the bar, top tier! Also been there for a Sunday roast, honestly the best roast I’ve ever had (sorry mum!) even had Yorkshire pudding, the service is on point! Highly recommend for any part of the day.
