It's actually a very good electronics shop, but it would be much better if they didn't almost force customers who come to buy a phone to switch to another GSM operator's plan or to change their current operator.

DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY THEY OFFER!!!! ITS A SCAMMMM. They will make the excuse that the worker who offered you the warranty is new which is why “they don’t know what they’re doing”. And will redirect you to go to the ACL to deal with it. AND IF YOU ALREADY HAVE BOUGHT THE WARRANTY, make sure to put pressure on them as they will notttt give you a refund for a faulty product (even though their warranty says they will lol). Always ask for the main manager because the workers don’t know what they’re talking about. I personally work in the legal industry so I couldn’t be fooled but I know the average Australian will be. But all I will say is, if it’s a big purchase, go elsewhere. Only buy small inexpensive things here coz the warranty is basically useless.

Great service from Nik and Mel - super helpful, felt welcomed, no fuss pickup transaction after an online seller screwed up my order, these guys came thru and reserved a scooter as was last in stock all over Melbourne. Doesn't get much better then this.

I purchased a new iPhone 16, case, and screen protector before Christmas, trusting the salesperson’s assurance that all accessories were correct for the phone. It was a Christmas gift for my 12-year-old, and on Christmas Day, we realized the salesperson had sold me an iPhone 16 Plus but gave me accessories that didn’t fit. When I returned to the store to exchange the accessories, I expected the usual great service I’ve had in the past. Instead, I was met with a staff member named Viktor, who displayed the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Viktor was rude, dismissive, and carried an unprovoked, arrogant attitude that made it clear he shouldn’t have bothered showing up for work. Despite being polite and simply seeking help to correct their mistake (with my 12-year-old present), Viktor acted like a pompous, self-important individual who clearly has no place in a customer-facing role. His behavior was so unacceptable that I made a verbal complaint at the checkout. Viktor’s condescending and outright hostile demeanor ruined what could have been a simple exchange. If this is the level of service he provides, I would strongly advise management to reconsider his position. People like him damage the reputation of an otherwise reliable store.

Salesperson was very accommodating and helpful

Returned an item without receipt and Casey went above and beyond to find the receipt in the system, so we could return the item and purchase something else. Casey was very friendly and helpful made for a good shopping experience. 👏👏

Helpful manager at Cranbourne who transferred item to fountain gate and was rudely told I couldn’t pick up item because of digital id, digital id is legal in Victoria as far as I know, just plain disgusting their behaviour was, didn’t even try for 1 sec to help

I've had more positive than negative experiences at this store so I am only too happy to mention the awesome service from the majority of staff I have talked to, particularly Nate in the TV section on Sunday the 15th of December 2024 when my wife and I came in to buy a new TV. Nate answered all our questions, was patient and well informed about the products. I'd definitely come back to buy my next TV from Nate, the man's a superstar!👍.

Poor service. I had to wait for 20 minutes to get a staff. No one cares about customers and don’t even give eye contact.

Angus was fantastic with his customer service and one of the best experiences I’ve ever had when purchasing a product. Could not have been more knowledgeable and helpful. Very impressed.

I am sorry that I can't remember the name of the young man who helped me on a weekend in October very close to closing to buy a new Samsung mobile phone for a family member to use it's accessibility features. We'd brought in a price to try to match from an online distributor, but were also sceptical about the warranty side of things. Our store person explained how JB hi-fi offers proper Australian warranties with Samsung and not faux ones with ghost overseas companies who Samsung won't honour because of their dodgy practices. I was very grateful for the advice and was happy to purchase a genuine product at the the higher price. The store person then offered his discriminary pricing and more or less price matched because I was polite and wanting to learn about Australian products. He made my day after a very hard week and restored some of my faith in people. Thankyou for your assistance.

After some frustrating experiences with JB online orders and support, I was blown away by the stark contrast of friendly and efficient service I received at JB fountain gate. Shane sorted me out with a new pixel phone, answered my questions, and gave me advice whilst treating me like an adult instead of an annoyance. Greatly appreciated, cheers.

Great store. Always has the latest electronics. Friendly professional customer service. Located on second floor of Fountain Gate Shopping Centre Only negative- ceiling vents are very dirty and there are also water stains / damage to the ceiling.

I recently had a horrible experience at this store that I feel compelled to share. On the 17th of August, my friend and i went to our local JB Hi-Fi at Fountain Gate. We were looking for portable chargers, for our upcoming holiday. We were approached by a long black-haired male with a slim build who was working close to the phone section of the store. He offered to help but we declined and thanked him. I was looking at the portables whilst also researching on my phone to see which brand had better reviews. We decided on on a portable and headed to the registers to pay for it, not knowing that the long-haired fellow was following us this entire time. When it was our was turn to pay, he cut in and asked us if we it was just one portable we had on us, and we said yes. Then he accused us of stealing another and putting it in my right pocket. I pulled out my phone from my right pocket and showed him there was nothing else there, I even offered to let him search me which he declined. He then walked off and didn't offer any apologies or acknowledgement of his mistake at all. Other customers and the person at the register witnessed this whole fiasco which left us horribly embarrassed and angered. As a local Narre Warren resident, this is not only totally unacceptable and unprofessional but downright appalling from any staff. I will never be returning, and I strongly advise others to stay away if they don’t want to be falsely accused and treated poorly.

The car pass for forza horizon 5 is only for xbox and I have forza on steam and i can't redeem the code because of that so please get a steam version.

We went to JB Hifi Fountain Gate to buy a television and John was able to provide a few options with explanations from different ranges/specifications that would fit within our budget and to our needs. I would like to commend the excellent customer service that John has provided to us. He was able to accomodate all our inquiries and went above and beyond to assist our needs. We are grateful to be assisted by John. One great asset to JB Hifi. 👍🏻

Went in today to get a Google product but was confused as to where it would be. Asked two staff members who were lounging around having an obvious social conversation about BMX/weekend activities in the tech area. After a terse response that the product “probably wasn’t available” as a newer model was rumoured to come out soon, and without checking anything, or offering alternatives they resumed there weekend conversation immediately while I was still standing there. Would have been more than happy to purchase another item rather than store hunting for the same product. Lost an easy sale, I won’t go back in a hurry.

I required a certain phone. The 1st store I went to was out of stock. They called a nearby store who had 1. Then I was unable to pay due to a mistake & they held the phone a day so I didn't miss out. Extremely happy. Very helpful staff

This place is a little bit overpriced. But the service was really good, the people helping us were very knowledgeable and helpful, and we were able to find the best accessories for the products we purchased. The store is easy to find and easy to navigate, too.
