The Sunday at 5pm half price is a massive bargain. We had some steaks that were perfectly cooked, and we did not have to wait an hour for our food. What a nice change. Good food with good friendly service... who would have known! Loved it.

Best indoor kids area!!! It seems relatively new. They have a decked out padded room dedicated for kids. The room has 2 play grounds, a slide, swings, rock climbing and padding shapes for toddlers and kids to climb. There's also a cinema area for the kids, a chalk wall and an area where they can sit and draw. Highly recommend if you have children. I will to here weekly for my son to play. I hope they keep it open, new and clean. And I will be inviting all my mumma friends here. Food is also good too!

Our only complaint was the pizza. So much sauce it was soggy and unappealing but the rest of the food was amazing and the play area for children was very well set up. We will be back

The food was beautiful, the staff were simply amazing, especially the Manager and the lovely girl behind the bar. They looked after us like royalty. There were 10 of us celebrating my husbands birthday and he had a great time. The kids were rapt in the games room. We have been coming to the CBD for about 4 years, but since the renovations and new ownership, I have to say, they are doing things right. Thanks for a wonderful day.

We have been coming here for the past 10 years playing trivia and our group has definitely noticed a major decline over the last year. Prices have increased and food quality has dropped significantly. We have come back to see if things have changed since the refurbishment and to be honest we are very disappointed. We waited for over an hour to receive food with no apology for the ridiculous delay!

Second time in a month was disappointed with the experience at the CBD. Last visit kids meals came out after the adults had finished their meals, this time appetiser came out with the mains. Tried to get a drink but all the staff had disappeared so gave up and went home

Never got to eat as David the manager was very rude an told us we were in a private function area.As we came in the rear entrance we did not see any sign. A smile and a friendly gesture to relocate would have been nice. As it turned out the function area was only half used and the people at the works function said go ahead an grab a spare table down the back David the manager got on his high horse and was totally unreasonable. His diplomacy and hospitality skills are non existent. We are regular customers and he handled the occasion very poorly. We left and went elsewhere for our meal and drink.

Have been a patron of CBD since first opened but not very regular since COVID as venue hasn't been that welcoming and menu not so good. We've been twice in 2 weeks knowing ownership had changed and have been pleasantly surprised. The menu is amazing and well priced, a senior's menu from which I enjoyed the battered Barra and the daily specials and lunch menu are fantastic. It will be our new regular venue. Staff were lovely and I believe the venu is being refurbished including a new kids area so can't wait to take our grandies.

The renovations look great and all the staff are friendly so couldn't fault these things. We enjoyed our meals, but here are a couple of suggestions for the food. It's a pub, and we want just normal garlic bread, not pizza bread, an option of tropical ham and pineapple pizza and creamy garlic sauce included in the sauces. Now the kicker, the new kids area. Ridiculously noisy and echo's right through the dining area with kids yelling and screaming and banging the items in the room. Nothing pleasant about the atmosphere now reno's or not. It needs to be sound proofed or it will just turn customers away.

Love my tacos, my porterhouse steak and my rump Wednesday special all my favourite food! Big bonus on top, the Friendly happy team and staff to boot !

It’s a nice pub, convenient and easy and the new kids room is amazing! But definitely feel like the food could be better. It’s average at best and think they could only improve with construction criticism ❤️

Went to CBD for a lunch with friends and had the best lambs fry I have ever had. It used to be very popular but not many Bistros dont serve it now. Well done! I will be back this was a great dish for lovers of Lambs Fry and bacon and the gravy and mash topped it off.

Very disappointing experience. We normally go to the Robina Pavilion for our weekly family dinner and the food there is always phenomenal. We thought we would go here for a change. The food used to be good but these days it’s pretty terrible. I got chicken tacos and the chicken was rock hard and dry, the avo was browning and there was almost no onion in the salsa. I couldn’t eat most of it because of how dry and hard it was… my partner ate some for me. He ordered a medium rare steak and it was very over cooked. My mother in law ordered a steak and chips and she had the same problem. She also couldn’t eat her chips because they were way too salty. We didn’t complain to staff because my mother in law didn’t want them to feel bad but I am posting this review in the hopes that something changes otherwise their business is going to suffer.

Steak was absolutely delicious. Please keep the lunch specials going. If you can get people in and out in under 45m more would come for work lunches I believe.

Had my birthday dinner here. The cheesy garlic bread is to die for, so much so I could order it alone and be very very happy. Yum. I had a vege stack(tasty) and seafood topped garlic party w chips and salad. So goood. A memorable meal.

Regular weekly visit. Convenient close to home. Renovations when completed will enhance the interior and atmosphere.

Food is always great. Staff and service is good. However Tonight I was charged $5.00 to have mash and vegetables instead of chips and salad. Not happy at all. Have been a weekly and long term customer. Maybe I need to change dinner venues. Even the staff agreed it was not a good change. If this does not change back I will take my business elsewhere and tell my friends as well.

Very disappointing evening, six of us went for my husband's birthday.Two in our party are coeliac, wait staff and chef were ignorant of our needs and eventually went out of their way to ignore us. Waste of $300.00. Will never return there!

Very overpriced and low quality food.

Staff were extremely rude and had no idea what to do about food allergies. Do not go here if you're a celiac. The staff lacked knowledge about the menu and the food was not that great, lots of grissle on the steak. What could have made up for it was good customer service but sadly it was terrible. Very rude and unfriendly wait staff.

So disappointing. Came for lunch with a couple of work colleagues, between us we ordered a garlic bread, bowl of chips, salad and parmy. After waiting for 50mins and noticing other tables being served who arrived long after us, we had to ask the staff what was going on. Staff seemed to go and speak to the kitchen but never communicated back with us. After waiting a further 20mins with no update we had to follow up again. It’s clear the orders were not sent to the kitchen but we couldn’t be given an explanation. Staff couldn’t figure out how to refund us (paid by card) so had to give us cash, which we were also given the wrong amount and had to follow up again to be given the right amount. Total of 1hr 20mins for nothing.

Purchased chicken sandwich and chips . The chicken was a 75 Gram or so tenderloin handfull of chips and bargain price of $18. And was told that the kitchen staff were all having a chuckle. Really we and our friends eat There 3 times a week never again You don't take over a hotel and reduce the portion size to bump up your profit margin in just 5 days. But when Tony woods has got anything to do with a establishment I wouldn't expect anything else

Ordered crumbed chicken breast costing $30, but received ultra processed battered chicken that was over cooked. My wife ordered chicken parmy that looked exactly the same. When the wait staff dropped off our meals, we realised we had to find our own cuttery. The bar staff were friendly.

Will be great when the new owners take over, in need of a revamp ,open up the place let community know your there , better menu and definitely up-skill the chefs

Food was overcooked, ordered cup of tea when I asked for milk the attendant brought over 1litre carton to pour into my cup, Became very hostile when I asked for a small jug. My friend slipped on the wet floor and fell to the ground. Fortunately 2 patrons came to her aid and helped her to a chair. Staff provided a band-aid, took no particulars and left it at that. I might add my friend is in her 90s. You won't be going back there again

Good food, good prices.

Had a function at the Hotel CBD and it was great. Staff were fabulous and the food supplied was good quality. The venue was a good size and offered a stage and separate bar. Highly recommend for a party or other event. Had dinner at the Hotel CBD tonight and it was very good. Half price for dinner on Saturday evenings between 5pm and 6pm. Bookings recommended as we were not able to get a table initially but the function room was opened up to patrons which allowed for extra people to eat. Food was good quality.

Poor experience , it is 8pm, when we are ordering food, we suddenly being told no food can be ordered but pizza. Great local hotel for a feed, drink, and a catch up. Good amount of seating inside and out. Some good deals available.

The last 3 times we have had rump steak it has been tough, we are regler clients , , it is not cheap ,so should be tender . I will try one more time .

It’s cheap, and I suppose you get what you pay for. This pub does a lot of cheap meals, unfortunately it’s reflected in the quality of the food.

Usually love the food especially the nachos, however today they were not allowed on the 2-4-1 and they were nowhere near as good as usual . Was very disappointed

Awesome local hidden gems! Recommended by a friend about Sunday early bird dinner special, came here just before 5pm and airway people are lining up, ready to order. Very good quality food good even with special price, didn’t compromise with portion either. Friendly staffs working hard serving people, clearing tables and bringing hot food to tables. Ordered the steak medium, and it came out rare. I'd suggest ordering medium/well. However, when we returned it, they came back with a whole new meal. We rolled out of there, so full. Lovely place to catch up. Apart from that, I had a great night. Good atmosphere, great meal deals as well.
