There for a 90th birthday day and the staff were good. Enjoyed my coffee.

Had the porterhouse steak today was fantastic and very well priced. Highly recommend. First time there will be back.

A great place to go for a great feed and some drinks (including delicious cocktails! The staff are so lovely and accomodating. The outside beer garden is a lovely space that can be booked out for private events (e.g. birthday, hens show, etc) where the staff are more than willing to help out in setting up in any way possible! I highly recommend this great pub located in Brompton.

Our son thought it was a Bikie pub. No, this place has good deals for lunch. Parmy and a pint $20. Excellent.

Food and Service Primarily on top of my list and the atmosphere just flows, I give this place a shining 5 star 🌟 review. 5 STARS That's all you need to know, to get you wanting to walk through the door. Great place to just be yourself, have fun... Try something from the menu, delish dish dish.... high quality and flavoursome. Honestly, for me, it's not the place that makes it successful. It's definitely the quality of people. Bar staff are very friendly, very welcoming and they are great value overall they are of great quality people.with top grade service. People who are the friendliest, vibrant, personally just a great environment to hang out. Every fortnight live entertainment and Funtastic variety of beverages for the Drinkers and the non drinkers.

I can't believe what the staff did tonight. 2 ladies that come every Sunday for the last 8 to ten years would be given a complimentary bowl of chips to share. Just lately the amount of chips was getting smaller and smaller. Tonight they received a bowl used for a very small gravy filled with 4 chips. They were shocked and the rest of us looking on was discusted with this. As a result my mum and I won't be attending this hotel for meals or pokies. I hope they don't come either . I know they would spend several hundred and they don't ask for anything else like coffee. I would hate to think how much we would spend with you when luck is not on our side. No stars and poor customer service

First time today, the name “Excelsior” explains well “SUPERIOR QUALITY”. Great service & friendly staff. Fantastic food & great ambiance. Loved it. Definitely going back. The staff are polite and efficient. Kids and family friendly and definitely recommending to our friends and family.

Love the beef schnitzel with pepper steak gravy. Great service great atmosphere. Just moved into the area will dine and wine frequently.

Just had a night drinkin and watching the band played, its cool.

Price and quality of food are both excellent

Enjoyed another great meal at the Excelsior Hotel in Brompton. Service was as always friendly and accomodating. Staff members, Kelly and Georgia were exceptional. Meal and drink prices typical of a local suburban pub. A little quiet on the night i last ate, but the atmosphere is always welcoming and generally pleasant. All round, i am very satisfied with this Hotel, its quality of food and the service from the more than capable staff. Will see you all again soon!!

Had a porterhouse steak, expensive for the quality, extra tough and small size. Living very near by, I must admit I’m not a huge fan of the food or front bar staff in general. I don’t find staff particularly friendly, they all look like they would prefer to be somewhere else. I spend a lot of time in Thailand these days, the contrast in service with a smile and costs are just crazy, I’m told that’s what we must expect in Australia these days .. $57.00 for the pleasure, one small beer. Totally underwhelming and never to be repeated.

I had the crispy beef salad and the passionfruit cheese cake. Well presented and tasty.

We are 4 extra fussy diners who could not fault a thing today at our lunch. The only place we've ever experienced truly hot coffees. Food was delicious and service extra special. Thanks to all. Special thanks to Brooke and her Manager. We'll spread the word!

Good food, fast service, cold beers

We had the special beef curry and the crab linguine. The curry was great, but the crab was over the top with chillis. I had to swap my crab with my friend's curry. Even he found it too hot. I'll be back, but next time I'll ask for a milder version, if possible.

Excellent food good service reasonably priced

Shared a great lunch here today with 3 others. Lamb rump was amazing, and the others enjoyed their meals. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were welcoming and friendly.

Daily dining and drink specials, good food and adequate carparking make Excelsior Hotel in Brompton a great option for a get together. Corner of Coglin and Hawker Streets. Coming from the City just follow War Memorial Drive west and you don't have to turn until you get to the Hotel. It is that easy.

I organised a group booking for work Christmas function. Mahena was so lovely to deal with throughout and made the process so easy and seamless for us. Food was very good. Generous portions and great value for money. Especially with the 40% off meal with a drink purchase on a Tues night! We all enjoyed our meals and experience. Thank you

Fantastic food! The BBQ lemon and herb chicken was delicious and the steak was thick and cooked perfectly. Best roast potatoes ever. The Excelsior now tops our pub list for quality and good value meals. We'll be back soon to try crab linguine, roasts, fish, burgers, lamb and probably everything else.
