Great service

I kid you not, we have attempted to dine here on three seperate occasions and we were finally allowed at table at this brilliant spot. The other two times that were denied, there was only restaurant seating but this time, there were tables on the lawn where you could place an order with a QR code. We got a table and were super excited, ordered 3 pizzas and we waited a total 10 minutes before all three were at the table. Piping hot and utterly delicious. The fennel pork sausage pizza (Salsiccia) was by far the best wood fire pizza I have consumed in Adelaide. Absolutely worth the wait this place. They do have the option to book a table online. DO IT or you will miss out on the brilliance this place offers. PS. They got us some free limoncello shots to finish up the meal! Legends!

Food and pizza is nice, but there is no air-cond inside, a bit hot during the summer....

There is a reason this is the first and most important place i tell people to visit in McLaren Vale. Yes, it's the food... the perfect homemade woodfired not-too-wet/perfect-amount-of-toppings/lots-of-structural-integrity/full-of-fresh-flavour and let us not forget the primi and contorni ... hello, arrosticini and arancini. need i say more? yes..... the tunes, just look up pizzateca on spotify (thank me later), the staff... FOH locals, knowledgable and happy to be there, the drinks... perfect place to sample some of the vale's best wines with their intended pairing - PIZZA. But do start with the Spritz Teca ( i dont love gin but I LOVE THIS)... and finally this brings me to the atmosphere. THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL PLACE AND YOU WILL KNOW THAT WHEN YOU GET THERE. The lawn, the tree, the smells, the drive in.... i have honestly never been to or heard of a dining experience the same anywhere in the world. It's local but its global.. familial yet exciting.... its perfect. its pizzateca. ALSO... Gelateca.... the Gelati pop up on the compound. I hesitate to say skip the tiramisu to have gelati but i'm sure you can work out an arrangement .... a suggestion? A) stay long enough you can have dessert THEN gelato later or B) VISIT TWICE

Delicious food & great service. Would highly recommend popping in here for lunch next time you're in Mclaren Vale. Personal fav was their Diablo pizza.

Pizzas were fantastic. Layout of the place was awesome for family fun, and heaps of space to spread out. Staff awesomely friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Even if youre not into pizza u will absolutely frothhhh on the pizzas here. Great setting and awesome service too . Diablo! So good!

The pizza here is excellent yet I have some qualms about the rest and I only include them to either help others prepare (such high ratings give you high hopes) and maybe the owners will make improvements in the future. Drinks - ok selection, it would be nice to see a bigger beer selection and a peroni in a can is not cool. Cocktail specials were awesome. Service - not too bad, drinks and food came pretty quickly for tables that got in early, staff responded well to being flagged down by the impatient guests on our table. Atmosphere - I can imagine on a 20-25 degree day with no wind this place is lovely, however we visited on a 38 degree day, it was like a hot box and really needs improvements, the use of insulated panels in the pergola would be a great start (this would also help in winter), some industrial fans to move air through the area, even a swampy on the roof or misters would help. The vertical shades are great to keep the sun off people but as the staff knew they trap the heat and during our visit stopped the very little breeze from flowing through. My only other gripe is that on a stinking hot day, our table of 12 had the same size table as a group of 6, I don’t feel it’s fair to squeeze us in like sardines, we are paying the same yet we have less space. I understand from a business perspective why this is done but as a guest it sucks.

The pizza I ordered was the Diablo and it had too many wet ingredients on it which made it very soggy and could not finish the pizza which is rare but the ingredients were fabulous

Wish I could give 6 stars, this place is simply amazing. Food was delicious, the atmosphere is great and the service was fantastic. Super family friendly, lots of open space for the kids to play.

Possibly the best pizza we've ever had. The diabolo was nicely balanced - loved the chilli honey, and we tried the pesto pizza which was on specials with added prosciutto - it was SO good, and such a generous serve of prosciutto. Only thing is that they're super busy so best if you get a table reservation and it does take a little longer to get service but understandable. The gelato was super good too - especially the sour cherry and pistachio flavours. Would recommend!

Delicious and quality pizzas, while continuously giving friendly service. Pizzas always come out quickly even when they are very busy. Amazing place!

Amazing food and gelato.

Pizza Teca offers flavourful, well-crafted pizzas, though the weaker ends of the base made toppings fall off easily, however this didn’t impact the taste, which was great. The drink selection was a bit disappointing, with no mainstream beer options like Corona, but the glass-bottled Coke was a nice touch. Comfortable seating and good service added to the experience, though the loud environment made conversation somewhat difficult. With a few small tweaks, it could easily reach a 5 star ranking.

Bringing the authenticity of southern Italy all in to one cosi environment. Being Italian myself and a harsh crtic, this place deservedly earns five stars.... Highly recommended

Great spot and service and pizzas were great. The GF base was surprisingly excellent. Bit more choice on salads would help.

Good food and great atmosphere!

I was order a Margarita and add $5 prosciutto. I get 1/2 grams of prosciutto what used to be served last year. My wife order a Margarita as well and add $3 eggplants. It used to be generous in full slicces, amplify in last year . Now she gets small pieces tiny cutting in smallest stickers. Disappointed. Absolutely wrong way to earning more money. I don't care of pizza going to cost $29 -$30 but don't compromise quality and quantity.

Partner called to enquire about a booking for 8 people with - potentially 2 extra guests joining - making it up to 10. Due to the uncertainty of the 2 extra guests attending, my partner requested to book for 8 people - a la carte. Was told that any number of people over 8 would require a set menu, so the request for a la carte was denied. The two extra guests don't eat a lot of food so this limits us. It would have been great to allow these two extra guests join the table with us and share some of the food as a part of the a la carte. Overall - business lost due to the strict policy of more than 8 guests being forced into a set menu. Some guests may have dietary restrictions & not require much food. Sad to see a originally small rural business turn into strict and inconsiderate of all guests. Disappointing - Hope the owner reviews this. Been in the past and enjoyed the food but don't feel welcome as our need as a large group were not met. Thanks for the time to read.

Rude owner - would not allow us to join two tables for two in the shade / these were not reserved. Explained one of our group had a medical condition and our table under their hot house shed would not suit - the owner replied @imcant help the weather”. We had booked. Pizza average. Drinks less than average. The pizza wasn’t that fantastic - plenty that’s just as good or better in metropolitan areas. Give it a miss. Will not recommend it to any visitors.

Extra waiting for our mains after a positive start with our entrees. The Junior staff could use more training in hospitality. The floor manager did apologise and off a small discount. On a hectic weekend it was super busy and sometimes mistakes do happen. Nothing wrong with the food. Family friendly with outdoor dining and space for children. We did prebook but arrived a bit early however did not take long to get a table.

Very tasty woodfire pizzas! Soft base with flavourful toppings and a great atmosphere.

A must place to visit for lunch. Fantastic food and atmosphere. Can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. Good mix of indoor and outdoor seating.

Good place and a nice environment. Food is good but not the best pizza I had in Adelaide.

Probably being harsh on not giving them 5 here (wanted to give them 4.5 but Google stupidly doesn’t allow it). Their pizza is amazing but we have had better woodfire elsewhere so couldn’t give it the same score. But hey, Pizzateca use all their own ingredients, the service is awesome and the decor is radical! A must stop in McLaren Vale!

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had but even more amazing is the lamb skewers omggggg the flavour was amazing cannot wait to Re visit.

Great setting, indoor/outdoor. Service was attentive and friendly. Pizzas were very good not great. Crust was good but the pizza sauce lacked zing. Can't lose if your with kids though.

Came for a Xmas catch up. Ordered sides first which were great, then the pizza’s they were amazing. Limoncello Spritz and shots hit the spot. Great service and atmosphere

Authentic Italian pizza at its best.The setting is beautiful, the food is incredible and the service is amazing. You just don’t get service like this in SA. In particular Rossella the manager and Stefano behind the bar are lovely and show great attention to detail.

I couldn’t taste anything particularly special about the pizza; it’s not worth coming here for me. Perhaps people come for the atmosphere.

Excellent food and while they are always busy the service is always prompt and attentive. Would be great if the gelato was served in the restaurant but we were able to get a seat outside to enjoy it!

Went on a Sunday for lunch and was greeted with amazing service. This place is spectacular with photos of the owners family as well as his grandmothers tiramisu recipe (I recommend cause it’s so nice). I would go again and take others to enjoy an amazing meal and place

We had a fantastic 30th birthday celebration at Pizzateca, the service by Angelique in particular was outstanding. Angelique was accommodating, kind, and provided a very high quality of service, an absolute gem. I go to many venues and never get that level of service. Well done to Pizzateca for producing high quality food, accompanied by a high level of service. I highly recommend Pizzateca to anyone looking to host a birthday celebration, they are excellent. 5/5 from me.

I went to pizzateca for a dinner, the atmosphere is so nice & the staff are super friendly I had heard many people rave on about how amazing the pizza is here and when I tried it myself the quality of the pizza did not disappoint, definitely will be back again sometime. Especially for gluten free base which is tried It’s amazing. Would love to see vegan cheese options on the menu next time 🍕🤍

I noticed the quality of Bianco pizza has dropped since they closed for renovations. Taste is not just the same it used to be. Wont go back.

What a vibe, we visited on a public holiday and even though it was packed, our order arrived in good time and the service was very good. The Salami, Vegan and Margarita pizzas were delicious with lots of toppings and a pizza base that was very tasty.

Was recently at Pizzatecca for a Hens party. The entire experience was a 10/10… value for money of the food, food quality, service, accomodating to all dietaries, vibe and atmosphere… it was all fabulous. The owner, Rosella, was especially accomodating when I got an oil stain on my dress… she took me aside and had stain remover and fixed it all for me. Service is truly above and beyond here.

We needed to wait for a bit to sit down. Really nice location. The pizza had a lot of flavor. Perfect for before or in between wine tastings. The cannoli is excellent, not super sweet.
