Excellent pub,

A great place to have a pint of guinness around CBD! Good food. Tried their 1$ wings. There’s live music to enjoy which might be a bit too loud for some people but great experience overall!

The worst pub ever

A typical beer bar. Pleasant interior design . Very courteous staff. Well served beer.

Fast friendly service in the bistro upstairs. It may seem wild downstairs, but try the bistro on level 1. Good range of meals and great prices and the staff are super fun and friendly.

Finally a .steak cooked very tasty, tender. Chicken snitzel so moist tender. Coming back here.

usually a good pub but got turned away because they thought an ACT proof of age card wasn’t real ID just because two bartenders including the manager hadn’t seen them before lol

Drinks overpriced and staff very very rude.

Came here for the first time today to get lunch. The chicken schnitzel was great, and their lemon lime & bitters pretty good. Quick service and affordable prices were a bonus. Will be coming back to try some of the other options on the menu.

If you come here have the pie the beef and bacon pie is amazing and very well priced. Love it.

Music bingo advertised as 7pm 7.26pm absolutely no sign - asked the barmaid she said yeah it must be late tonight... Then the tv inside shows 8pm. Definitely just a way to keep people drinking. Place is a dump, stinks of vomit. Pints for schooners prices but when the schooners cost more than everywhere else it doesn't do much good Clientele leaves much to be desired. Avoid if you're looking for a nice evening ..

This my favourite bar, but I don’t why recently they change 10 dollar to enter. They should at least charge 10 dollars with voucher drink.

One of, if not the best Irish bar in Sydney! Entertainment on every night of the week including live music, karaoke and trivia. A great night out for everyone, especially the Irish crowd and backpackers. Kilkenny on tap which is hard to find in Sydney.

The staff was very friendly, and the live guitar music was wonderful. The atmosphere is great for drinking.

Nightclub is fantastic great DJs a selection nearly every end of the week Staff behind the bar are wonderful always pleasant and always willing to help a most visit Irish bar in Sydney CBD.

Average Guinness Decent craic and activities

Scammed... Ordered a cocktail that was advertised for $15, they made us the wrong drink, charged us over $25 dollars and was rude when confronted about it. Forced us to pay for the drink as a sip was already taken from it. Also extremely loud live music which prevents any sort of socialising in the bar Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place

I'm a local resident that lives close to here, and all I can say is the security guards and people here keep blocking the pathway which is so rude for people walking by! This morning had a bad experience the budozer like security guards were blocking th me way, and their size doesn't help as there's no way to walk through. They need to be mindful. Probably the worst security guards ever, the one at Maloneys hotel the small bloke is way better.

Won't let you in after 11pm even if you haven't been drinking. Poor performance from the doormen.

Cold beer and excellent steak. I don't ask for much more. The chef really knows what the medium rare steak is. The steak was tender and juice. I recommend mushrooms sauce.

Great bar with an awesome DJ and a lively dance floor. I had my first Guinness here, and there’s no cover charge for entry.

Fantastic experience all round. Staff were friendly with great service, food was quick and delicious and the band was so on point with great classics being played the whole time. S&P squid was tender not rubbery at all, perfectly seasoned and generous diping sauce. Apple crumble the perfect light desert, not too sweet at all. Sticky date pudding had great consistency, moisture and flavour. Ideally a more even ratio of iceream to cake. Sauce was perfect 👌

Good choice of food with great daily deals. Barman was helpful and service was quick. There was live music which seemed loud for the size of venue and even sitting upstairs it drowned out the background music they play

Gotta love a pint with live music on a Friday night with or without the crew. Staff are always lovely, giving a yarn and a friendly tone at all times. The aesthetic and atmosphere downstairs is reminiscent of a stereotypical pub in any old-school pub drama ( I've never been to ireland, so i won't quote its authenticity). Just how i love it when i need a quick pint or a long night wondering why I can see the bottom of my glass already. Upstairs had a great social bistro, thats a bit more modern in terms of appeal but no less matching the good feels of a classic pub. Ol' Scruffys will always be my watering hole and a place of many lost memories.

One of the last authentic Australian pubs (now Irish) in the heart of Sydney. Great food and service. Great place to 'people-watch'.

Nice place cool music. We got to put photos on our Guinness which was a 10/10 amazing, but… We came here on a Thursday and I got my mate a drink which he accidentally spilled at the bar in a second. He wasn’t drunk. The bartender, where I got a bunch of drinks, then decided to charge us again for a whole pint of Guinness, whereas in a proper Irish bar or any bar they would have given us a free pint or at least a shot. She was also quite rude about it. The bartender said it is against the law to give us a free drink which is obviously not true. Very unfortunate and bad service.

Music was quite loud which is expectable and we got to hear Gerry Cinnamon so always a treat. The security guards seem to patrol an awful lot, unnecessarily so. Some strange characters in there, fun and entertaining to observe for one night. BUT the best thing is the celtic park sign feel like home in there and Tennents! yay!
