Had lunch with a friend today at Woodcroft tavern. We both had the chicken, beetroot and feta salad. It was definitely one we would recommend. It was delicious. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my meal but a couple of people at my table were a little disappointed. The toilets need a serious clean though 🤢 i took my kids in there to find 💩 on 2 toilets and one loo had its lid laying on the ground 😬 the whole bathroom just felt dirty. The desserts were seriously delicious 😄 I'd go again but avoid the bathroom next time 😆

I've been playing the pokies with a friend today. I have also spent about $50 at the bar. They declined to make me a soy cappuccino on the house. Despite the fact that I told the bar person how much I spent and I felt it unfair that they didn't provide the same amenities for vegan clients. Cows milk cappuccinos are free to patrons. I was directed to another bar and told I would have to pay $6 by Iman.

It’s a nice and popular place however the table and chairs are wobbly. Coffee zero as requested to be hot and not warm. The crowds of diners could do with being spread out. The entrance was hard to locate also the restroom is neat, nice, clean, fresh and airy however the floor is worn out and just old. Fascinating venue as it is located on the northwest corner of Bains and Panalatinga Roads. Fancy decor featuring a black piano. Arrived sixteen minutes early before 12pm as I opted a salt and pepper squid plus a long black coffee as a beverage of my choice. Squid outstanding with a choice of two condiments - tartare sauce and chipotle aioli

A colleague came for Christmas lunch with her family and a member of her family mentioned that she was doing a night shift at the hospital. Your staff members gave her lots of food to share with her colleagues (me, being one of them). I want to thank you for this amazingly kind and wonderful surprise!!!! The food was even more delicious because of the kindness behind it Thank you Woodcroft Hotel!!

Told me my real drivers licence was fake and refused me service, disappointing from my local pub

Best thing was the ambience - very relaxed and pleasant, and no music playing, so easy to talk - except the long cable next to us was full of talking ladies, so ended up being quite noisy. Intriguing that staff didn't plan us further apart. On my table, I was the first to order, and the last to be served. Those who ordered salt and pepper squid were served first, and those who ordered fish and chips were served last. I had ordered garlic bread entree cos I was starving, and wanted sth to tide me over while I waited for my main. Instead, I was served last with entree and main simultaneously, so unable to enjoy both hot. The garlic and herb bread with cheese was yummy, and the battered fish nice and crisp, but chips nothing to write home about. Several of us ordered the senior dessert and had a good size pavlova and cream - but only 2 tiny pieces of strawberry, amounting to about 1/8 of a strawberry, and a tiny scrape of passionfruit. So despite a delightful ambience, won't be going back.

It was about 8:00pm on a Saturday night 14/12/2024, Myself and my partner were at this hotel and the bar staff would refuse to sever me and her because of my speech which is only a little weird because of my ADHD and apparently her posture yet she was standing staight not even touching the bar, Yet one of my friends who was intoxicated was still being served

Ate here recently after a long hiatus. On the last occasion I dined here two of our group got violently ill. The food choice was extremely poor and the food was not up to standard. Vowed I would never return. However was talked into going recently and was pleasantly surprised. I had the pork cutlet and it was moist, tender and well presented. My only complaint is that I asked to swap out the kiffler potatoes with the mash potatoes and was told that there would be a surcharge for this. Really!!!!! Mash was on the menu for another dish so why the payment. I could understand if it wasn’t on the menu. Some hotels are now doing this and I would accept it if the item was not readily available on the menu. This is just money grabbing. Based on the food I would have given 5 stars but having to pay for a substitute potato reduced it to 3. I leave you with this thought…. DOES THE CUSTOMER GET A REBATE FOR THE POTATOES NOT USED

Definitely a must avoid...food was disappointing, if a steak can't be prepared properly, don't know what else can be. Even chips and the pepper sauce accompanying the steak were a not at all good.

Service was poor. Should of stayed home and cooked my self. Not again

We waited over 45 minutes for our food we got 3 simple meals and 2 appitzers chips and garlic bread garlic bread was soggy we were then served food they walked off for another 20 minutes and lets us with no cutlery honestly not going back and won’t recommend for anyone to go there

We went there for our grandson's 17 birthday get together with imediate family. We have been to this hotel 5 times over the last 8 years, generally for birthday dinners, and once we had lunch with friends about a year ago. There never seems to be a lot of people inside the hotel, where the dining area is, but see a lot of cars in the car park.

I went for schnitzel night. Ordered a chicken parmigiana. Meal was a delight. Hot chips were good. Salad was nice and fresh. Price was great too. Pleasant and relaxed aesthetics in the bistro. Atmosphere gets 3 stars because it was unavoidably loud and I couldn't talk to my companion. We chose to eat and drink in silence then leave. Not the restaurants fault. It was full of life and people were just happily chatting.

Unfortunately not a great experience at this pub. Unfriendly staff, no idea of customer service. The food quality was poor, only burgers but tasted like cardboard, extremely dry. Pity, was looking forward to going back there after many years.

Major improvements have provided a great atmosphere. Had Cajun Salmon for dinner and was absolutely perfect. Also had fish n squid , was cooked very well. Barn Bar staff polite, reactive, friendly. Great experience enjoyed.

The food was pretty decent. Came out reasonably quickly. Will definitely come again. Loved the internal decor too.

FOOD was terrible won't be going there again it was overcooked. Son asked for his Tbone to be medium rare it wasn't my other son had a hamburger it was tastless. My schnitzel was small and over cooked

This was the second worst pub meal I’ve ever had. Chips had no flavour, not crispy. Schnitzel incredibly dry. Diane sauce was almost inedible. Side salad? Forget about it. So disappointing. Sorry guys. Service was okay tho.

wow i had the worst experience here tonight, first of all, i first noticed the service. the girl that took my order was so rude, didn’t even say hello and smile. just asked what we wanted then pointed at the card machine, also saw her roll her eyes at a customer when she bought the wrong food to a table. then, i ordered a pasta, it was foul, it had no flavour at all and was mushy. it tasted like water and tasted like it was frozen and then heated up. i then asked for a refund which they said they would do. then another lady came to the table and said they would give me a voucher, i hadn’t even eaten any just one mouth full. i said no as i don’t wanna come back again and then she comes and slams the money on the table and walks off then complains to her co worker. i will never come back

Great venue to have a cosy evening with beautiful food. Value for money. As a chef myself I tend to look for a good satisfying meal that is clean cooking with no after taste. Yes this hotel meets the criteria.

Can get very busy on Tuesday Schnitty night. Very quick service, food choices are great for this bargain night's meal, as a vegetarian I loved their Eggplant Parmi. Very family friendly, terrific staff and plenty of seating available, book early.

Took my grandchildren here for the Frozen and Super Hero's events. Kids loved it, 3 adults all had really nice meals with great service. Thank you 😊

The last few times I have dined here, I have ordered the steak. Every time it has been tough. I get medium rare, yet is is tough as boots. About time they got a better, quality supplier.

Extremely disappointed at the change of menu. Best item on the menu has been removed - the Woody grill. As a carnivore who often comes with a group of people with the same dietary requirements we were extremely disappointed and will be moving our weekly meetup to another pub until this is added back onto the menu.

They wouldn't let me have a meal from the kids menu! I can't understand why? I don't want a full size meal... so ill have nothing and just watch my friends eat. Not happy

Don't bother eating there if you're plant based/vegan. Ordered 2 eggplant parmi's and it's $10 extra for vegan cheese!!! Surely they're saving money serving up eggplant instead of meat based choices. So I asked for no cheese, then the meals came out with no sauce. Had to wait for the sauce and by the time it came out the meal was cold. Also the salad definitely had a dairy based dressing all over it 😑 I've been going there for a long time as I live down the road but never again.

The change to the menu is very average getting rid of the woody grill is a disgrace. It's the only reason I'd go with friends and family. I will unlikely come back

We came on Schnitty Tuesday and we were amazed to get a table on such a busy night, the staff were amazing,BUT we were all a little disappointed with our Chicken Snitzel mains, it seems the chef tonight has a little bit of a heavy hand with the lemon, our aioli dressing was overly lemony and our pepper gravy as well, so a little disappointed... we will come back, just on another night
