We had a table of 4 yesterday for bottomless and it was the best experience! Food and drinks were so good. The two guys on service were so attentive and friendly. One of the girls on our table was sick so they catered to her specially. You just don't get that service anymore. We've already told so many people how great it was.

Came here with some friends for the first time. The service was next level. Food was also great. Oysters were on the smaller side but still tasty.

Gorgeous venue, creating an intimate date night atmosphere. The service was fast and the cocktail delicious. Unfortunately the food was a little lacklustre in the flavour department. Cooked to perfection, but just needed more zing- particularly for the prawns and seared tuna. Our 600gram rib eye had a phenomenal smokiness.

First time diner at A Cut Above and am pleased with the experience. Upon walking through the entry door, you feel this is going to be a beautiful establishment and...it was. Other than the nice design of the restaurant, it also had a nice ambience which was complimented by wonderful and friendly staff. The service,food and cocktails were great and will definitely be visiting A Cut Above again in the future. A real gem of a place and worth your time for a visit.

Food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing. My only concern was staff wanting us to leave 😂 (which is fair as they probably wanted to go home) Very happy and I will highly recommend to friends and family.

We had a nice early dinner with our young Grandson... he had fish and chips from the kids menu and loved it.. the fish (flathead) was fantastic and nice and clean not all oily. The wife and both had scotch fillet and chips both cooked as ordered and a side dish of Asian Slaw.. .my only real negative would be there was no salt and pepper on the table nor were we asked if we'd like some....

Recently visited a hidden gem of a restaurant, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing—I decided to try something new, and it exceeded my expectations! Even the dessert was delightful, and the wine was amazing . I can't wait to return would definitely recommend!

We came here as a group of 5 for New Year’s Eve. It was my first time and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the sharing plate which comes with a steak, chicken, sausage and some brisket, this was more than enough for 2 people and represented extremely good value. The restaurant itself has a good feel to it and the staff where lovely

Nice steaks but a little on the expensive side for Berwick and the fact that they weren't amazing steaks. CBD steakhouses with CBD rents are about the same price. But overall pretty nice.

Outstanding food, service and ambience. We've enjoyed every date night here and appreciate not having to head into CBD for a decent meal & vibe. Decent drinks menu too. They've also been able to accommodate us for last minute bookings. Reminds me of New York steak restaurants with the mood lighting and booth seating. Better suited for adults catch-up or a date night rather than a family dinner with kids. Will keep returning to support quality dining in the burbs.

Good welcome and atmosphere. We have been to A cut above before but last Thursday might have been the last. Unfortunately the oysters were off. I noticed it and spit it out but my daughter swallowed it and was sick all night. When we mentioned it to the waiter they checked the veracity of the complaint and informed us that it was taken off the menu. That was the extent of their reaction. Love the Thursdays special cocktail but very reluctant to go back

Delicious food with fantastic service. Very very beautiful restaurant inside. A little pricey, but worth the extra money.

If you're after a solid steak without heading into the city, come here. The steaks are good and mostly justify their price (ranging from $60 to $250 depending on the cut). But the rest? It’s a bit of a mixed bag. Sides, desserts, and extras don’t match the same level. They look the part, plated with a modern touch, but the flavors are fairly average and lack the depth you’d expect for the price. The staff are friendly and clearly local, which gives the place a casual charm. But don’t expect the experience and attentive service you'd get closer to the CBD at other steakhouses. The attention to detail and overall sharpness could be better for what you’re paying. The decor is stylish, with dim lighting that sets a modern vibe. It works, though it might not be for everyone. The place feels like it’s caught between being a high-end steakhouse and something more relaxed. It maybe it needs to lean into one direction to really stand out. In short, the steak is worth it, but the rest could use some fine tuning to match the ambition and the price tag. I would eat again if I was in the area.

Ordered seafood platter. Food was tasty but only warm on arrival. Very quickly became cold due to air conditioning blowing directly on table. Too cold to eat full meal.

We’ve been here quite a few times, but this will be the last. We tried the T for two special. Entrees were nice, but the T-bone was pretty much inedible. We ordered medium & it was rare, almost blue & when we told the waitress, she brushed it off as it’s always rarer close to the bone???? Also, it was a 27deg evening & they had the fireplace going? We questioned it & once again she brushed it off & said we have the air on too? It’s gone downhill sadly.

For a steak place with the name 'a cut above' and taking into consideration the price, the Steaks were chewy and fatty. Doesn't really matter how you like your steak cooked because it seems to come out as a lucky dip. Tried the knafe dessert, it was horribly salty with strange flavours combinations. It was so highly recommended and I can't understand why. Mushroom gravy was sour and had no noticeable Mushroom or Mushroom flavour. I will say service over all was good. But wouldn't go back.

Was not excepting this place, in this area. YES it’s true….. when you walk in you think you are heading into an 80s disco / night club. But once inside you find a modern lodge. Cocktails are tasty (I had 4), steak is amazing and cooked right, side dish (Mac n cheese & asparagus) and dessert went well with the mains.

Beautiful food, staff were great. Only two things let the place down, the lighting is very meh, I get some may like walking into what looks like a nightclub is a tad off-putting 😅 secondly, as I mentioned to staff on the night, the toilets smelt terrible and there was no toilet paper in any of the women's toilets, thank goodness for tissues in handbags. So if and when we do go back I highly recommend checking on the toilets consistently.

For the price you pay service was poor, expect for one lovely waitress she very nice, meal took to long to come out, meals to small, not cooked correctly potatoes not cooked through, steaks not cooked as requested the only good part was the people we were dinning with and the desserts will not be going back

We dined for the first time last night, finding ourselves saying “wow” repeatedly. We were greeted with a warm and very aesthetically pleasing atmosphere; the staff were professional and friendly and the food, my word, was outstanding. We ordered a few cocktails as well, and again, wow. The elderberry gimlet was a surprising favourite of mine. We went for the “feed me” option and were especially impressed with each course that came out. I won a voucher through a local fundraising event, so it was a lovely date night. We’ll very happily spend money with the businesses that themselves, give back and support the community. We only wonder why it took us so long to visit this hidden gem, we will certainly be back!

We attended the Father's Day celebrations and found the staff to be very friendly and professional, providing quick service. We opted for the tasting plates menu, anticipating a high standard based on our previous experience with MDP Kitchen, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, this time it didn’t meet our expectations. 1. The beef tartare was just okay. 2. The lamb cigar was too oily. 3. The Argentinian dish was the worst dish of the day uneatable hard fatty chewy meat with bone in it. 4. The pork slider was passable. 5. The porterhouse steak was good, but the purée was too sweet. 6. The dessert lacked a wow factor. I will not go there again for that menu.

Visited for a milestone birthday with friends. Had the $90 feed me menu. Heaps of great food, wine list pricing very reasonable and good cocktails. Staff are very friendly and responsive - level of service was very noticeable and appreciated.

I was thoroughly impressed at the calibre of this restaurant and to have such good quality this far out of the city was icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice quiet dinner with friends or family, or even a date night.

We had my husbands 50th dinner in The Mez Private Dining room. If you're looking for the perfect venue for an intimate dinning experience this is the place, sophisticated atmosphere, absolutely divine Food, every guest raved about their meal choice and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Food and drinks were excellent, good range of cocktails and mocktails. We had the bottomless lunch which was a fixed 4 course and included drinks.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to. A great fine dining experience. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive. Great selection of cocktails. Panko crumbed pork is spectacular. Great steaks. The layered chips are excellent and have a really tasty sauce/mayo. Mac and cheese was awesome. The panko crumbed pumpkin was spectacular. Restaurant consistently delivers quality food, excellent service and beautiful ambience. The only flaw was the beetroot arancini. They were glagy in texture and had no flavour. Would love for the lights to be dimmed further. Overall, a wonderful experience this time and every time.

Staff were really nice and atmosphere was enjoyable. I had cowboy tbone steak - was not flavourful enough. Asado was very undercooked and also lacked flavour. Food taste has gone down hill since last visit. The cocktails were quite nice though.

AMAZING! From the minute we walked in, such a beautiful entrance to come around the corner and see this immaculate layout. We were welcomed and also seated, had the waiter open the chair and pop it in for me (it's giving princess treatment)! But overall, the service was beyond perfect, food was exquisite and the live music really set the tone along with the lights dimmed. Me and my partner had an amazing Date night, probably one of the best so far, especially being so local to us! Definitely make the trip to see for yourself!!! Love love love! We celebrated our 53rd. Wedding Anniversary last night and it was brilliant. The service was first class, the ambience warm and friendly. As for the food it was out of this world. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you🙂

Absolutely loved our experience here. The food was amazing. We went for the Feed me option which included an entree with 4 elements, a main with 1 side, 3 sauces and a choice between mashed potatoe or chips and finishing with a choice of desserts. We had an amazing experience at this restaurant tonight. The food and service was exceptional. We will certainly be back.

Service was quick, the waiter made the dine in experience personal. I felt like I stepped in a forest, it was so beautiful. We had fresh oysters, grilled octopus and mackerel. The oysters were sweet, I wish we had gotten more! Super creamy centre. The grilled octopus was soft and easy to chew. Had a charred flavour and came with a delicious paste that complimented it. The mackerel had different textures which meant the soft fish had little kicks and bites in the dish. I will try the chicken next time though, as the dish could've had more flavour. Would be good to see more chicken and fish options for those that don't eat beef or pork. Drinks were huge. So worth it!

Unfortunately quite underwhelming. Other reviews, the prices and the decor of the resturant really set the bar high but the food honestly fell short. We ordered the eye fillet tataki entrée which was lovely but incredibly small for $25. For mains, the medium rare porterhouse was very chewy and also quite underwhelming, severed with a little swirl of mash potato. While the oyster blade was a bit better, it was severed with just three little ‘fries’ and the horseradish crème was absolutely awful. Long wait for mains even though it was very quiet. Wouldn’t recommend personally, prices are a little steep for the standard received. Also had to ask for salt and pepper?

After reading all good reviews we were somewhat disappointed in all aspects apart from Ambience 🙄on arriving & eating Food especially an Entree & Main $85 one would be forgiven in thinking because part of Costellos in Greaves Road that it were they preparing the Food 🥹& also 1 hr to receive a main meal for 3 of us & not even busy 🤪
