Went for a steak on Australia day and it was beautiful

The female staff with short hair (I noticed other customers were also complaining about this manager) had an incredibly rude attitude. As soon as I parked my car, she immediately told me to leave, saying the parking spots were reserved only for customers. I had planned to dine at the restaurant, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

False advertising. They post stories on their Facebook page for free kids meals with each main over school holidays, but do not honour it. Even after showing the short hair manager, he refused and watched the staff take our order to make sure they wouldn't honour the advertised deal. After taking the money for the kids meals we ordered, they didn't even make it until I reminded them after our mains came. Very sad to see after being a regular here for some time. New manager has very poor customer service skills if any.

The Asian lady who is the manager, has short hair, knows nothing about customer service. I’ve had two altercations with her. She is rude and clueless. My son and I were regulars, I mean weekly, sometimes twice a week. And over a $5 dollar staff error, due to here rudeness we stopped going. Went tonight, she was rude and confrontational so we went to Golden Sheath…was great

We walked in to go check out the Filippos Bistro and was greeted by staff sleeping on the couch, there was no one to take our order and barely anyone in the pub. We sat down and had a quick look at the menu before wandering off to find the pokies, during which we passed by a staff member who then followed us around incessantly as we looked at what games there were. They then left us alone but told another staff member to keep an eye on us so I walked up to confront them about it, and when asked if she had a problem with us, were told we “clearly aren’t here to play pokies because you’ve been walking around for more than 2 minutes to look around” and because “i know you don’t play, you don’t look it”. I’m dumbfounded and told them “if you have a problem with us, instead of following us around, let us know instead”. The staff member in question, in case you were curious, is an East Asian woman with short pixie cut hair. Hope she has the life she deserves xx

I agree with Peter they have dropped their service a lot in the new year. I guess this is their new year's resolution to pour less drink. I was served by Jessica after waiting for 15 minutes. She was flirting with a customer. Then she did not fill the glass. Horse and jockey pub close by served over and above" and gave me a fantastic service. Great food too."

Yong is supposed to be the manager. Not sure if Yong is a He or a She. On asking one of the staff members, she says he is a ladyboy and not to take him seriously. He was rude and poured only half the glass of the drink I ordered. His manners are worse than all the staff working in the pub. Don't know how he became a manager. The staff are all polite and friendly. He is chasing the customers away from the pub. The owners should know by now to appoint one of the courteous staff members as the manager.

Seems ridiculous you can’t swap regular chips for sweet potato fries and pay the difference. I have not been to a pub where I could not do that

Had a lovely dinner at Bath Arms Hotel on the weekend. The food was delicious and the stuff were very helpful when deciding what drink to order.

Staff are super friendly, food is nice and a perfect venue for sports. Hoping to stay a regular!

Great place to watch live sports with huge TVs and commentary on nice and loud. Lots of space to sit and easy to grab beers. Will have to go back to try the food and definitely to watch sports.

Food was ok, and there is a playground for kids However the menu deals were not clearly worded, on a kids eat free night I heard them telling someone it was only with meals over $20, but that is *not* the wording on the brochure. I'm not big on false advertising. The playground was small but fun enough for my 9yo, but one of the lights was out back there which made it unnecessarily dark in there.

I've been a regular customer, visiting this place about 10 times or more. This is the third time my order wasn't served on time or have waited for long, while others who ordered after me received theirs. When I complained to the manager, who apparently only works one day a week, instead of addressing the issue, he started arguing and bragging about owning multiple restaurants. Frustrated and angry, I left without my food. I used to love this place, but I won't be returning due to the manager's dismissive attitude.

Impersonal service in the bistro with the disinterested front-of-house girl seemingly unable to even smile at patrons - instead patrons get a woman vaguely staring at you with the look of a dead fish. Soggy, soft and over sized calamari. Pizza was nice if a little soft in the middle. Food is all cooked and served by people who would normally have nothing to do with European or western" food. I used to play pool there in the early 1970's. I miss my pub, I miss my friends. I'm in Brisbane now. I had the worst experience yesterday evening the Asian girl with long hair and glasses was extremely rude & lacks customer service. She deliberately did not put my order through and when I followed up with the chef and she sarcastically says it’s delayed hold on to your buzzer. I requested a refund from the male manager and left the premises. This ignorant & incompetent female should not be employed at this pub. This behaviour is unacceptable! Not recommended. Very disappointed.

The staff are really friendly and the food is absolutely delicious, you can't go past their woodfired pizza's and the arancini balls amazing!!!👌 Will be coming back with a group of mates to watch the footy on that massive screen. A hidden gem in Burwood.

Wouldn't bother going here for anything :) Absolutely terrible. My father in law Booked an event 2 months ago for his 50th birthday. He arrived and they didn't have anything set up for it and had no idea about it. There were at least 40 people coming, they had to run around put us all on different tables completely away from eachother. We were advised that the person who took the booking wasn't there and they weren't made aware of it ? ( maybe you should invest in an events booking system or book. As this shouldn't even be an issue if they aren't there ) Then we all went to order and were told the chefs are overwhelmed and they won't be taking any further orders! Are you joking?! That was terrible, they weren't sorry at all and didn't apologise or even try and sort anything out, after everyone being annoyed regarding the situation they said they would put some orders through. So a few people got up to go and order then they cut us off again after 2 orders :)))) So some people ordered and some didn't. We went up and spoke with the manager and said we are with the function and they said we can squeeze it through but it would be an hour to an hour and a half in a way of trying to get us not to order, no apologies no nothing, not sincere about this at all. We said we will still be here then anyway as we are here for a function so we aren't leaving anytime soon? And she just smiled in a way that wasn't nice. After half the table waiting an hour some people's buzzers started to go off so they went to grab it and it would be one meal or two and not others ? And they said they will only be making fast meals such as pastas and steaks, so for pizzas and some burgers you will have to wait until after the other meals ? So people that ordered anything else got food and others waited an hour and a half after their family had eaten just for a pizza or burger! 😂 why not tell people cause a lot of us had travelled so far for this and were starving ! Put a sign up for people to be aware of the wait ! My father in law and a few others just got their money back after everyone started to head off as it had been 3 hours since arrival due to the whole craze of everything 😭 he left hungry from his own function! Was just astounding, horrible service and terribly run. As a worker who has worked in hospitality and managed venues for 6 years, I never write anything and I am always happy to wait and I'll never write a review, I understand what it feels like to be under the pump, but just the way it was handled, no apologies, no nothing to my father in law, no complimentary drinks or anything for my father in laws function being totally ruined. We will not be returning and how we were made to feel like a burden, this is deserving of a review.

Visited last Friday, Just wow massive pork ribs with home made bbq sauce and the service was on point. Thank you for making our weekend wonderful. Definitely come back

I went with my wife and kids. The kids menu is very nice. Kids bolognese was really amazing and nice portions. They had special Tiramisu which was lit. I found out they have every months kids funday. I love the way they treat with kids. Made my day Thanks Sure will come back

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT GO HERE. Food is inedible. Chicken Schnitzel came out burnt to a crisp like it had just been thrown in the deep fryer and forgotten about whilst the kids schnitzel was RAW. Very sad as this used to be a good place to eat. Never again.

It is a pub, it has beer, it has pokies, it has an idyllic setting on the historic Parramatta Rd. Nothing special, average ambience, it does the job. Loses marks for the lack of personalised pub coasters, not serving jugs of beer, and lack of baths in sight.

NEVER EVER AGAIN! Dinner was a massive disappointment. $35 for pork ribs and the size was ridiculous, more like an entree. Salad was just lettuce with balsamic dressing, not even a slice of tomato or a slice of onion…just lettuce. I originally ordered an entree of bruschetta but was later told they had ‘run out’ - meanwhile it’s 7pm on a Wednesday…..I then asked seeing I couldn’t have that could I choose another entree and not pay extra, and he said yes sure. I chose the calamari, but he said he needed to ask his supervisor if the $8 difference was ok. Long story short it was all good. Out comes the food, the calamari didn’t actually have any calamari, only batter, photos included. The pork ribs had 5 ribs. Not a rack. Salad was just lettuce. $45 and a couple of beers. Absolutely terrible. Don’t go here, I would never waste my money there again, terrible terrible service.

We came here for a nice meal as a family. Waited for 45 mins for a meal but only been told at 45 mins after we ordered and said they lost our orders. So disappointed and never again.

Kid friendly pub grub with italian lean and beautiful staff. They have catered to us above and beyond. Play equipment means wine in silence. Membership means extra points towards food and bev. Reccomend the garlic pizza 🥰, Spaghetti Marinara and the specials board.

Beef tastes like fish, salad costs extra but you don't get anything other than a piece of rocket, there's no mushrooms on their mushroom pizza and unless you gamble a lot you don't get service.

The staff was super friendly, specially Jenny which was super nice and even helped us by drying the kids playground and even brought the food at the table when the restaurant was quiet. Had dinner here a few times lately. The food is a bit hit and miss but ok. They do have good specials. The steak was good but the salad was not so good and not many chips. See the picture.

Ordered an entree & 3 mains….. All came out at once. When staff were asked why the entree didn’t come out as an entree, the abrasive reply was we need to state that its an entree - where the menu classified the item as entree and we also started with “for entree, may I have…”. The lady then went on, confronting and on saying your future orders please communicate this is for entree (?!). No apologies for being lazy and bad attitude afterwards. No future here. A pub that charges & thinks they are a restaurant but doesn’t behave or provide service link one.

This is probably the second review I’ve ever written in my life and I hate that I have to take the time to write this but this place (fillipos) is disgusting. I went for a simple steak with a friend and was served the worst piece of meat iv ever seen in my life, it was meant to be a $35 rib eye, medium rare. I honestly thought it was pork when I was finally able to get a knife into it. The steak was white and grey and would probably bounce a foot off the the ground if was dropped. I Took the meals back and I was nice when I reported there was an issue with the steak however I was just met with aggressive attitude and zero apology. The excuse I received when I ask for a partial refund was that the meat cost them $18 to buy. Save yourself disappointment, food poisoning and an argument. Worst meals iv ever seen by a long way!!!

Watched UFC here last Sunday, the stake was good and a bit on the pricey side for a corner pub, but guess you’re also paying for the environment, as you can tell by the quality renovations. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back.

Bath arms is generally a good venue but after tonights customer service from the unlicensed guard and his horrifying personality on entrance il have to let it go.... Licensee/manager better do something with the little man in the car park entrance always on his blue tooth and he needs to let his top secret agent ego remarks go.... Very unprofessional

New management and menu is a massive disappointment in the last few weeks. For the past 12 months or so we’ve been visiting the bistro very regularly for their $15 dinner special which were set on specific days. But the new management kept changing the weekly schedule of the dinner special and has now reduced the portion size and increased the price to $35 for their regular rum steak! At that price I’ll be expecting much higher quality dry aged angus rib eye stuff!! Restaurant has also started having a very strong cigarette stench even in the non-smoking areas. We will be looking elsewhere. Best to avoid.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Parking is ample. They used to have specials menu which made the deal extra sweet but has since retired the menu.

I have been a very loyal customer for over a year, attending regularly however, my experience mired by a particular staff member. He came and told us off for cheering at the horse races, in the middle of the day. It strikes me as odd to put in such a big punting palace and not allow any enthusiasm from the punters.

Fillipo’s bistro is a hidden gem in Burwood. Not only were the service staff wonderful but the chefs made amazing delicious food. The pizza and seafood were the highlights for me!

We organised a last minute surprise 21st Birthday Party for our son. We dealt with Fargas, the Restaurant Manager of Fillippo's. He was extremely professional, accommodating and flexible with 1 week's notice to put this together. We needed to change the set menu from standard and Farkas discussed our options at length and was very patient through the whole process. Our numbers kept growing to about 70. The food was incredible, fresh and delicious. Dee, the Hotel Manager who is another absolute star even arranged table service so our guests did not have to go to the bar for drinks. Everyone had a great time and our son loved it. He is still talking about it. The team at this place are second to none from the bar staff, chef, wait staff and even the security guards. I can not recommend them highly enough. Well done to the whole team. We will be back for a quiet dinner with the family very soon.

Ordered a beer and found it was not carbonated enough so returned and the nice bar staff gave me a taster to confirm. It was still not quite right. The friendly bar staff asked if I wanted another instead which I accepted and returned to my table. The bar staff then approached my table to tell me she was reprimanded by the manager and asked me to return to the bar. He told me there was nothing wrong with the beer and that I couldn't get another. After a conversation about how often he drinks beer, to which he couldn't clearly answer he told me no one else has complained and that I could only have a refund. Possible he's not a beer drinks so doesn't understand the taste. I took the money as he poured both beers and tasters down the drain. Food is great and staff is as well. Just avoid the Tuesday dinner manager as he doesn't understand customer service.

I like coming here. I live just down the road so the location is great except for the fact I have to get across the annoying Parramatta rd to get there. The staff are nice, I like the food ( love the steak and chips. Much cheaper than Hogs Breath ) and its always quiet in there....which I don't mind. I always see Doug in there too! He's always there. Lol. Jenny who works there is always nice.

disgusted by the terrible service, the chefs and kitchen staff were rude and aggressive! When approached about there behaviour they made a mockery was very disrespectful. No one should ever feel intimidated by staff especially when we are paying customers. Angry, upset and frustrated to say the least.

Nice place to go and all, only thing is I got nuggets that were cold, and when I returned them they told me that they were busy and that there wasn’t much that they could do about it. Also apparently it take 45 min for a Nutella pizza because “the chef is busy”

Great place, food great and services staff are so accommodating

What a great establishment this is. We met up with family and friends for lunch and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles. We ordered drinks and were served by the friendly bar staff. We had our lunch in a very clean friendly bistro. The food came out quick and it was great. It was enjoyed by all. There are great facilities to watch a variety of sports on their many screens. Clean tidy toilets. Plenty of room for seating a lot of people. Would recommend.

Good food reasonable price Great Sunday lunch

This old pub was a revelation as it isolates you from the awful traffic travelling along Parramatta Road. The interior is modern, very clean and spacious. The bar service was great and I enjoyed the GOAT" beer. I really wanted to try "The Bird" Burger but sadly didn't have time. I will be going back!"
