Could he a great pub but spoiled by cheap attitudes to service and food quality. Strangely antagonistic service culture, many drunks attending who probably don’t notice.

Nobody will answer your calls if you call at 5.00pm and nobody will help you check in when you arrived🙂I even did not stay inside successfully because there is no one leave any massage or email to show me when is the last chance to check in🙂 I leave the massage on the booking and tried to call them, guess what, ghost hotel🙂nobody answered and nobody helped🙂 you have to walk around the road alone after 11.00pm to find if there have any hotel still open or have room🙂 wonderful night almost scared me to death on the street🙂

betti the bartender was amazing. she gave us some recommendations and all of them were amazing

Good pub grub pleasant atmosphere

Lunch with friends … pleasant, no table service… food was pretty good, drinks well priced, and location parking friendly between 1 to 2 hours

This pub is no longer dog friendly! Dogs ok out the front (enclosed smoking area) and courtyard only. Not in the pub. This is a recent change. Used to be a great pub to relax with friendly staff.

Disregard the advertised restaurant times as they will close 25mins beforehand. Their excuse was that no one was ordering, so maybe no one was ordering because of the food but I wouldn't know...

Great local hotel in McMahons Point. Perfect for a quick catch up with friends or a cleansing ale. Lots of sections to sit inside and outside. I live the slightly quieter comfy seating options at the rear for dinner that also boast a bit of a water view. Great food options. Excellent wines by the glass. I have been going here for over 20 years and have never had a bad time or bad experience yet! We had the Sunday roast and prawn linguine both were great. Very enjoyable!

Hotel review- rooms were great value for money and comfy, big windows and fans for hot days but could do with AC. Friendly staff. Lovely laidback location in north Sydney. Shared bathrooms are a bit dated though.

Rude staff

Lovely atmosphere and food. And even Guinness on tap. Wow what more could I ask for!?

Great bar staff, food fanastic Had lunch with friends

A fabulous hotel which has a good vibe . The restaurant serves excellent food.

Food was tasty, meat temperature for both steak and burger was off by one, burger asked for medium rare was served rare, steak ordered medium and was served medium rare. Rest of the experience was great!

Great fish tacos and beer jugs. Friendly staff

Both Kenny and Alex were incredibly kind, easygoing and did their best to accommodate me. Lovely establishment, even better hospitality!

Amazing hotel experience! The location is perfect, and the service is impeccable.

Great little pub. Food is decent. The only problem is the staff hide in a corner of the bar to chat with each other all the time and can't see patrons waiting at the bar to order. I've waited 10 minutes at times when the pub is quiet before they turn around to check if anyone is waiting

10 dollars for a bowl of average supermarket chips the size of my fist is an absolute rip off!

Used to be my favourite pub. Unfortunately it has gone downhill. Went there for lunch on the weekend. Food was ordinary at best. You can no longer have your dog with you in the front bar, you can only have your dog in the back (tiny) courtyard or outside with the smokers 🤢. Disappointed as I really use to enjoy walking there with my dog, having a few beers & watching the footy inside

Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff - good little pub.

The beers are cheaper than other pubs in the area and their share plates are pretty good too.

Sundays are great .. Sunday roast and jug of Young Henry's $22 and live music from 3pm til 6 great with locals and there fury pets .. food is a bit pricey tho for what it is .. standard pub grub .. but hey .. its 2024 🥴

Thanks to Jack and the team for an excellent 60th Birthday function held in the back room. The food was amazing and the team pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a great event. The venue is the perfect size for a cozy function and you can get quite a few people in the back area without feeling crowded. Highly recommended! Thanks Blues Point we will be back.

Sunday roast not good - meat ok ish - chewy. Yorkshire pudding didn’t rise and was uncooked in middle (oil needs to be really hot to make it rise) and veg ok. Everyone else was ordering burgers - was probs the way forward.

Great schnitzel. Always pleasant place to go to for a drink. Thursday night raffle always fun

Lovely pub - not a hotel - and the food is a shocker. This evening the Tuesday special was the rump steak which was a mere mouthful - a dribble of salad and a dribble of chips. We ate and left to go to another joint up the street which was also pathetic.

Food was average. $6 for a soda water is taking the mickey.

Such a nice place. Friendly staff, great food and reasonably prices.

Really enjoyed our stay here - nice big rooms, great balcony to sit in the sun. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Brilliant location. Recommended for a budget stay in a high cost area!

A little hidden gem. Good food and beer. Has wealthy neighbours.

Never been here before but always wanted to. Cute pub, not too busy (but it was pouring rain) and the food was good. we had the salt & pepper squid and popcorn cauliflower to start( both good); I had the honey glazed pork-delicious but would have preferred the apple sauce to be on the side; the eggplant parmigiana was also good. Nice friendly staff as well.

Excellent staff, friendly atmosphere. Trivia on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm

Wir waren hier Essen. Sehr sehr Lecker. Das Darkbier und anderes für 6,50$ g vor sechs unschlagbar. Probiert .. genommen. Sehr guter Service und gute Stimmung. Leider fliegen wir morgen weiter.. schaut rein😋😊

They pour a great Carlton Draught.

Delicious food, cold beer, fast friendly service. Everything you want from a good pub. $30 avg per main... a bit on the high side for lunch imho. Roast of the day was tasty though. Parking isn't always easy, so allow some time for a short walk.

Great place to eat with plenty of atmosphere and within walking distance of the airbnb we staying in.

My wife and I stopped in here at the end of a long trip to Australia. Having been here in NSW a week we realized we should have stopped in earlier. The bar is bigger than it looks from the front, there is a patio out back, there is a large indoor back room, and it seems like a good local joint. The beer is cold, and the staff is friendly.

Good place clean getaway

Fantastic local pub that welcomes people with wonderful service

The food and atmosphere are nice, but this establishment allows dogs (pets) - not guide dogs.

Nicely renovated pub with extensive dining areas and rooftop terrace for hotel guests

Out of nowhere is this friendly local bar. Worth a short walk down from Nth Sydney.

Always love going to Blues Point Hotel for dinner. Have never been disappointed.

beautiful old fashioned pub

The fact they don’t let anyone up on the balcony anymore is a crime against humanity.

Great Pub and GREAT food went for a reunion whcih occurs every Year and despite our numbers being in excess of 20 persons no one had an excessive wait for their meal. Great cold beers and variety.

Always a treat to stop in at our local.. curries are amazing and the swordfish was a real treat.. I’ll be ordering it again

Good staff, hotel and location

A relaxed Sunday lunch. Comfortable well spaced bistro area, few hard surfaces so not noisy and helpful staff. A regular venue for us.

I really loved staying there. Nice, friendly hotel with comfortable rooms. Shared bathrooms which give you a lot of privacy though - own sink in the rooms. Very friendly owners, good location and nice atmosphere with the pub downstairs. Would love to stay there again :)

I loved the Sunday Roast!

A hotel room that had everything I needed in a nice location with a good pub and shops close by.

Great pub lunch with lovely atmosphere

Good looking pub, and good marks across everything, except the food. Had a $30 prawn salad , mostly spinach with undercooked prawns. The chicken burger was also average with not many chippies. The chicken snitzel was good tho.

Stopped here for dinner the night before the Sydney marathon. Food was ok, not exceptional but still good. I had the pappardelle pasta, which was a slow cooked lamb ragu pasta. This was reasonably tasty, but came out super quick which made me suspicious. My partner, who is pescatarian, couldn't find many options so decided on the kids meal pasta. Overall I'd probably give this 3.5 stars.

Friendly local pub with a fire and great pub food.

Great place to stay for a weekend in the city. Just a ferry or train trip away from the CBD. Had dinner here which was also good. Saw some poor reviews, but it appears to have been refurbished since then. Beds big, clean and comfy. We'll stay again.

Great ambience, food and service. Pity about the loud obnoxious buffoons who frequent the hotel

Was a little hit and miss with the food. Mine was nice but someone else on our table had a chunk of plastic in it. The female server walked past our table 5 times before cleaning our finished plates and always avoided eye contact. Drink service at the bar was fast but it seemed like a hassle every time we ordered a drink and didn’t get friendly or welcoming service. Live music was great and nice vibe.

I have been here a few times now and it’s a lovely old school venue . Great wine selection and the food is tasty. The staff are very welcoming.

Hi guys I came in 6 Weeks ago the food tasted 1 Star and a 1/10 , Dirty Bathrooms, Why would you manager allow dogs into a pub where people are eating , Staff also very rude and unhelpful, The 350g Scotch Filet was dry overcooked and Chewy , The Chips were also under seasoned and chewy Once again I am very disappointed about this pub being dog friendly the owners were lovely to the dogs but not to me Improvements needed 1. No Dogs allowed 2. Better Staff 3. Better Food 4. Cleaner Bathrooms 5. The Meal too Overpriced 6. The Chairs were very wonky 7. The place smelt entirely of Mould Things really need to change immediately!! The 350g Scotch Filet and Chips the staff charged me $400 instead of $40 the whole meal was such a disappointment I walked away super unwanted at this Pub.

Staff are friendly, atmosphere is nice, however the burger is really bad. Grislely meat, stale flaky bun, looks like an entire bottle of garlic sauce. Not worth the $24 we paid. Didn't eat it.

Night staff Olivia Wednesday 7th, very rude on the phone and hanging up when asking what time is the checkout...

RESTAURANT REVIEW- The food at this hotel needs to get better, there are no excuses these days, fish and chips the other night were so dried up you could not eat it, th curry is normally great was runny and awful, this our local so lift your game and cook some good food

Great spot. If you don't know what a meat raffle is give it a try+ the pub, food and drinks are good and worth a visit

5 stars for location. Private Balcony with UFO sightings available. If you do this sobre, you are doing yourself and God a disservice.
