I purchased two GPUs ,both were faulty and the manager had no respect for customers. It is already nearly 50 days post return,still waiting for refund..no one sent email confirmation,we went there three times,still awaiting refund.. very annoying and frustrating experience,would never ever go back to buy any products.

This place is amazing, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Had interactions with Thomas (I think this was his name) who helped me trouble shoot my MB upgrade not posting (ended up being it not showing the BIOS over DP and only HDMI for some reason). He was very nice, and didn't dismiss any issue as stupid. I also saw him helping the gentleman in front of me pick out parts for an entire PC, something old MSY of memory would have made very unpleasant. 10/10 customer service, highly recommend!

Decent store but non existent customer service, called them which took 30min to get through to someone at UMART. Asked a question they had to speak to a manager about it, got put on hold for 20mins only for them to end the call before getting back to me. Wasted an hour of my life.

Staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, walk me through all my PC build parts with patient. Funny that they need to keep walk off if there’s a collection from other customer while on the conversation. You guys need more staff! Anyway pretty good experience!

First time purchasing a laptop from Umart (Croydon, Adelaide). I can say I will never purchase an item from them again. The laptop (Gigabyte AORUS 16X) had a serious fault that would cause the screen to go black after exiting certain programs. Their online support staff told me to contact Gigabyte myself, but after doing so and waiting a week for a reply, I returned the laptop to the store. I spent a week dealing with this very frustrating issue, and doing what I could to fix it myself. The Umart staff took the laptop back, but refused to initiate the refunds process as they wanted to do their own inspection/testing on it. Looking over many of the reviews here makes me very concerned about how long this process will take. I am now left without a laptop, and the money I paid for it. I cannot recommend purchasing products from Umart. You might save 5%-10% on an item compared to elsewhere, but it is not worth risking for the incredibly frustrating and lengthy returns/warranty policy.

Bought a motherboard from here and could never get it to work no matter what PC parts I replaced. I took it back and said it didn't work. So, they disappeared into the back for 20 mins and came out with photos of a working bios. I didn't actually receive any real evidence that they even looked at it. After working through all the other possible issues I worked out that the motherboard had a power fault issue. Basically, they sold me a faulty board, lied about it working, and refused to replace it.

I have dealt with this store for the past 12 months and up until recently was happy with their service. I recently purchased 2 x different items which were faulty upon installing at home. On both occasions, I have had to physically return to the store on 3 x occasions, to try and get the items replaced. After trying for over 8 weeks, without success I have now been promised a full refund on both items. Another 2+ weeks has gone by, without any refunds being received. I will no longer be purchasing any items, due to extremely poor and non-existent after-sales customer service in relation to warranty issues / faulty products.

Bought the wrong size casez since I hadn't opened the case, changing it to a bigger case was a breeze. Staff are helpful and friendly.

I bought a ssd months ago that failed. The manufacturer required an invoice to process a RMA. Gabrielle found one and I'm on the way to a replacement. Umart is a big upgrade on MSY!

Helpful staff

Opened item, noticed i accidentally clicked on the wrong one. Called them and asked if I could exchange it (happy to pay a % fee) but nope, can't return it all or exchange it because I opened it. I've spent thousands at their company. What a joke.

Bought a modem from U-mart Croydon ($220) unfortunately it does not have the correct port for our type of internet connection, went to return it and was refused because it had been opened and was not still in the original packaging. Really really dissapointed.. a lot of money for us to lose.

tldr: The store lacks any form of customer service Staff were friendly but that's about all this place has going for it. Even though they are friendly, they always seem like they're slightly peeved that you've interrupted whatever they were doing. The only way to order is to hop on a computer and feed them your personal information to make an account. There is no way to purchase something without creating an account unless you go up to the counter and distract one of the employees from what they're doing (and even then, I always got referred to the in store computer to make a purchase which asks you to make an account). after that the parts have to be picked out which takes a couple of minutes which isn't long, but why does it take 5-10 minutes for a cable? It feels like all the systems in place completely ignore any aspects of customer service. It's frustrating to have what would be a 1 minute stop at any other store turn into a 10-15 minute stop

Avoid this place like the plague, if u ever want to return the device u purchased. Bought a router, router had issues. Went in store and tried to return, they said they would need to check it out and test it. Week later they sent an email saying the warranty request was denied, due the unit not being purchased at the store ??? They recon it was bought from another business??? So expect this kinda shady dealing from this business. Notified ACCC Issue is still unresolved and I have neither the unit or the cash back… avoid!!!! Having to send a heap of emails and they are super unhelpful!!

Staff were extremely helpful even though they were busy. They also were quite good at processing my return/ exchange, please help them out by returning any items that are faulty on a weekday when they have warranty staff.

Umart MSY has become a cashless business. Drove 18km to Umart Croydon to buy a $490.00 computer monitor. On their website there was NO mention of it being a cashless business. So on arrival with cash in hand, we were told there would be no sale unless it was an electronic transfer. Hence we walked out, determined to buy from another business where customers are valued, and cash is still valued and accepted.

While they state a 30 day change of mind return policy, does not apply if product has been opened. Even if in brand new, never used condition, in original packaging with all original documents. Contributing to e-waste is a shameful business practice and I'd expect better from such a large company Other large PC part business, such as PC case gear accept open packet returns for a 15% fee, even this is a much better option

Fast and friendly customer service

First off, I’d like to state that the promptness of the online customer team and friendliness of those in store have been of a high standard. I’m not one to write reviews but my ongoing experience with the technicians and overall service at this store has been nothing short of dreadful. I’ve been a Umart customer for a number of years, getting my PC entirely built and sourced from their parts which whenever I’ve had an issue, has been promptly sorted via their diagnosis and repair service. While this was primarily at their Queensland locations, I assumed the quality of service would be just as high at Croydon. It’s not. My computer began having black screen issues and not being proficient enough with hardware, I decided to take it to Croydon Umart, just under two months ago. After two weeks of not hearing a peep, I decided to get into contact with the customer service team online. They notified me that the GPU would only connect to one monitor, which would immediately deem it faulty. Being under warranty, I requested it to be repaired. After a month being shipped to Gigabyte, I received notification it had returned and followed with another email for ‘collection’ of my RAM, which was already on the PC. After multiple emails, the RAM was supposedly also faulty, to which I purchased a replacement. I picked up the PC days afterwards and to my surprise (not really) after five minutes of use, black screens. It had been in the shop for well over a month and a half, with multiple misdiagnosis, then returned to me in essentially the same state. It has reached the point in which there are 45 emails between the customer service and I. I returned it the next day, followed with orders replacing essentially 60% of the PC which could be causing said issues. I requested they install these, to which they ignored me and have been continuing to tinker and attempt to ‘diagnose’ after two months of being in store. I received a message forwarded by customer service from the team in store, stating ‘unfortunately these things take time’. After bringing it in the beginning of February, it’s still at the store currently in April. If you’re someone looking to get your PC fixed, I’d highly advise you to go somewhere else because never in my life have I been genuinely shocked and livid at the sheer lack of competency and communication from any person or service in my life.

Went in with a motherboard issue with bios. Was able to be fixed quickly and didn't even charge me. Friendly and great service.

Great computer store, fantastic prices with helpful staff

Really disappointed, prices are good but warranty claims are a nightmare. Package arrived and appeared to be tampered with. When I opened the box none of the manuals were wrapped and security straps were not present that were stated in the manual. When I addressed this issue with them through email, they did not reply until after I rang them. I ended up having to drive it down to their store, where they informed me that they didn't have anyone present to discuss warranty issues, so I left it there and then after not having the monitor for over 3 weeks and emails back and fourth, they stated that the packaging in the instruction manual was incorrect and the I could drive back and pick up the monitor (over 2 hours of driving). They are prompt with their emails but constantly refuse to acknowledge any responsibility.

This place is unbelievably good, rheir website is amazing, they have everything from all brands, their pick up system is also very amooth and easy

I had a really positive experience here. I was quite apprehensive because I was unsure how to order and purchase, but the staff member that was there was very helpful and we easily ordered the part I needed and I only had to wait 10mins for the part to be found in the warehouse and delivered to my hand. While waiting I was able to check out some PC cases, graphics cards, racer style chairs, PlayStation steering wheel & pedals, and a flight simulator controller. Overall I'm very impressed with Umart and will be returning for my next PC build.

Best Store for all your computer needs

To be honest I don't have anything about this shop. I'm giving 1 star coz I baught an item from this shop and when I try to claim warranty, it's been months and they still saying I'm sorry my manager is trying to talk to the manufacturer and we will be in contact soon". Just like a broken record. How many days will it take to claim a Warrenty. Further I'll be removing this review after it's resolved. I mean I'm just showing my frustration."

Purchased items for a computer. Parts were DOA however when attempting to return them I have been given an extraordinary mess around. Terrible customer service. Third item I have received from umart with a fault. I took my rig in to get a bios update and UMART bricked my motherboard. It lit up when I took it in, when I returned to retrieve it, it no longer light up. Secondly, I have photo proof my build DID NOT have thermal paste on the motherboard when I brought it in and assembled it, that paste happened when YOUR STAFF where messing with it in the box during the 4 HOURS you gave us the run around. DO NOT ATTEMPT to pull a dirty here, I have plenty of photographic evidence and recordings of what went down this day you absolute con-artists!!!

Very poor experience with the Croydon store. Bought Ram and a bunch of hard drives etc. Walked from the store to the car and realised ram was not correct. Walked back in a minute later to be told it was non refundable as the sticky was opened. Returned all goods and will never return. (except ram refused) I read a week ago Adelaide store allowed a customer to return multiple sticks of ram that he tried out on a pc. I didn't even leave the carpark. What a joke this company is. Go somewhere reputable not just cheap.

My experience at the MSY pick-up store was incredibly efficient. Using just the order number, I received my product within a mere 5 minutes. nice staff, idem ditto products....but ...according to the shop's website it closes at 5.30. Apparently it means that the physical door of the warehouse will close. At 5pm. So apparently,one is not able to purchase, or pickup, the items-you-wanted-to have-at-the-last-minute...after leaving work halve an hour earlier. Then what's the use of sitting on a prime location where 25% of the working class hero's pass by?

Took me a while to realise the relationship to MSY. Great selection good stock levels reasonable prices fast pickup available my local fave for bits. Robots or no robots fast and friendly do you really have a scanner out front I've always typed it in...

They have great prices, their service is very professional, quick and easy to understand, they have everything you want at any store! But I have a question: if I were to buy pc parts, build half of it and get umart to do the rest? Would that cost less?

I purchased a monitor Acer which was not working. Initially I would need to wait for 5-7 business days until they could find a solution, but after complaining here and to their customer service, they replaced for a new item.

Amazing store full of PCs and gaming chairs to order in store from. Great customer service experiences when a gpu and ram I bought was faulty. They will even do RMA for MSY even if you bought it before they combined

Really bad service, tried returning a faulty Dell monitor that was less than a day old with fault evidence. Staff didn't have the proper tools to diagnose the fault in store, so now I have to wait for a warranty claim on something I paid over $500 for. Will be very hesitant to shop here again, horrible experience.

Usually have the best prices I can find online. Also quick pick up, have to wait less than an hour after ordering.

I arrived close to closing time. I was helped by a staff Member at the counter to answer my queries on the product I was interested in. And then able to lodge an online order, and it was available to pick up within minutes.

Wide range of PC products. I already knew what to get from this store so I popped in and staff told me that this was cashless store and that I had to purchase the product online and then I can pick it up from this store. That was the big minus for me. It was my first time visiting

Website says instant pickup, and open till 5pm, except you can't actually collect your order because they claim their warehouse is closed and management refuses to spell this out properly on the website.

This is a pick up point for MSY and Umart's online range. Very quick and friendly customer service. I had no idea this is what it was. Regardless they directed me to place my order and then to give them number. Very good, efficient and friendly service.

Thank you to the two guys at croyden Umart for wasting an hour of my time because they could not be bothered opening the warehouse which I assume was right behind them. I had ordered online at 5:09 and raced there through peak hour traffic to arrive at 5:25. They said the warehouse was closed and that i had to either come back tomorrow or order online. Now, I am aware that I am partly at fault here for not giving them enough time (they looked so busy), but for god sake is it too hard to be a normal human being and spend 60 seconds going out the back and retrieve an item?? Absolutely pathetic. Hour wasted. I won't be dealing with that shop again.

Terrible service! We have purchased over a dozen computers online from Umart for our business and need to have 2 of them repaired. They are no longer under warranty but we need them fixed anyway! We are prepared to pay but when we took one of the computers to Umart, they turned us away because the warranty is out! Where then are we supposed to get them fixed? So, there is no ongoing support at all from Umart, we will now have to find a new supplier for our computers (who back up their sales with ongoing servicing)...I never thought that any computer business would not support their own products. Lesson learned!

Fair prices and local to me.

I've shopped online at Umart for a few years now, and the prices have always been good, so I was excited to have a store in Adelaide. However I was disappointed to discover it's a click and collect store. If you head in, in person, you're sent to a computer to place your own order, then there's a wait (15 mins in my case) for your order to be packed. Service was good, although the wait was a bit excessive for one cable.

Always happy with their products and service. Made an online order and received a phone call within an hour advising it was ready for pick-up. Interstate orders always arrive within a couple days. Prices are very competitive. Love shopping with Umart.

I had the worst experience. The customer service was rude and unhelpful, making it a terrible in-store experience. To make matters worse, the $1,800 graphics card I purchased was faulty and broke my power supply and motherboard. I would not recommend this business to anyone, due to their poor customer service and unreliable products!

You don't really know what will happen when you have a problem. I bought a motherboard in that failed after 10 minutes. Chris tried to power it up but as i had tried mthrboard was dead. 10 minutes later i leave the store with a replacement. UMART ROCKS & thanks Chris
