Good quality food relaxed ambiance welcoming staff always full of friendly locals enjoying themselves at their favourite local.

I'm so disappointed with the changes. I'm a local and have been going to the tavern for years. The once family atmosphere has been replaced with a TAB environment. Dining area is now poker machines, multiple TV's all turned up loud with horse racing, hard to find a local, actually hard to see anyone there at all, just a couple of punters. Even though the changes started a few months back, I've tried to support the tavern being a local, but after last Saturday, as sad as it is, I now going to the clock hotel instead. Wish it was different!

Nice location and sitting arrangement. Some time rude people visit to make atmosphere bad, but staff is very professional and served nicely.

I happened to drive by this tavern by  chance and decided to stop in for  dinner. The meal was excellent, and the service was polite and excellent. The only  drawback was that there was only one  fan running, but fortunately we were  able to grab the table under it and it  wasn't too hot that last night. The experience was positive overall.

Garlic sauce

Best flavour, freshly cooked meals worthy of fine dining connoisseurs. Absolutely impressed with the food, after walking in without booking with a group of 5. Highly recommended are the entrees garlic prawns, in a fresh cream and freshly peeled garlic sauce with 6 large fresh king prawns and a good size serve of steamed rice. Also must have entrees is the breastfeeding sliced chicken strip's on skewers, a bowl of spicy freshly mixed sate sauce, with freshly steamed rice. Very morish! Steaks cooked to perfection, tender and juicy accompanied with your choice of chips, garden salad or mash and veges. Choice of delicious sauces. Highly recommended and cannot wait to return again tomorrow!

Used to be really a lovely place for locals but new team is shocking. Treating customers like lowest of class without even knowing who they are. Very disappointing as me and my family enjoyed going there for dinners and drinks. Not going there again with the treatment I have received for the last few times I have been. PS. A staff woman called Sarah should not be there. I saw how she treated a gentleman before me and when was my turn she was worse. Looks like she doesn't want to be there and doesn't care if the place shuts down. Really disgusting attitude she has

Didn’t have a feed but went in for couple drinks after allblacks vs wallabies game good vibes bar man was friendly and helpful

Dissapointed they have chosen to put in poker machines and 9 TV screens out of 10 showing tab/sky racing and a dart board. This has totally ruined the ambience of the tavern which until recently was a pumping venue that was always busy and had great live music and food and all the staff knew all the regulars. Now the staff barely acknowledge you. Don't understand why they messed with a winning formula. As a local and a regular I'm finding it's no longer my vibe

Great little tavern in Chevron. Friendly staff and karaoke nights. They also do an amazing all you can eat breakfast

A local to Chevron Island l have visited the Tavern several times for lunch, lately the food quality has deteriorated significantly, while the price has increased. Hard to Recommend.

Spacious venue with really friendly and accommodating staff. Would love to see some independent QLD craft beers on the list though.

The burger was delicious and the staff incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it!

Was very noisy when we turned up & we didn’t stay. Even the dining room, backing on to the bar, was noisy even though it was empty.

Michael …. The chef made me some Sriracha chicken wings ! If you like spicy chicken wings Michaels are 10/10…. Yummo

We always have such a great experience here! The new chef is amazing and lovely! All the staff always go above and beyond. I don’t know all their names but Steph is so lovely. Her customer care is 10/10. We love that here is also family friendly 🤎 Also the bands are always great too! Thank you for always a great experience. See you again soon

Friendly staff and well priced drinks

DO NOT eat here… absolutely thee worst service. I sent my food back because it came out to me cold only to be told it wasn’t??!! Excuse me? Staff ZERO RATING. 😡 ripped off.

For the third time, I have asked for chicken on my salad and yet once more they forget. Tonight after stuffing up, the manager had the audacity to come up to me and ask for an extra $6 after their stuff up. Won’t be back.

I made a special trip down to the coast just to try out the karaoke there only to arrive and then be told by the host that the karaoke had finished for the night and that if I want to sing that I could only do one song and that to seemed unfair considering that I had a hard time getting there and finding the place. Very disappointed 😞.

I called in recently just to put on a Keno asking the operator for a 6 number ticket for 200 games at 1$ a game. I put the ticket in my pocket and left. I returned the next day for lunch and check my ticket only to find out that the operator had put on 6 numbers for 200$ for 1 game. Clearly the staff have no idea how to operate the gaming. So I was robbed of $199 the manager telling me it was my fault for not checking before I left to the venue. even if I had walked out to my car and checked the ticket it would’ve been too late. The Tavern obviously has no duty of care to the patrons to make sure the staff know how to operate properly. As far as I am concerned that they are a bunch of crooks so much for the heartbeat of Chavron. B/S

Friendly staff, yummy reasonably priced food and beautiful decor.

Burgers were good (my son had one and told me it was good) but I had the displeasure of eating a steak. As someone who has eaten a lot of food at different venues I can say that I would skip the steaks here. Poorly cooked to be polite. Atmosphere was good. Service was 50/50. Had two waitresses. One was fantastic, the other, very rude.

Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Good deals on drinks throughout the week.

Not impressed with Asian women working the room for tricks. Bathrooms are too close to each other. Men use ladies toilets . Not for ladies that's for sure. Man's cave only.

Great place with friendly locals & local band. Steak was awesome & the beer was cold...

Ordered the roast of the day, it was ok in taste but a generous portion size. Would have liked some hot sauce or Sriracha which they didn't have. Loved that they had cheap drinks on the counter. Got an alcoholic can for $4. Service can be slow even without being too busy. Waited over 45mins for food. Atmosphere is nice and place is clean. Went on a Sunday so there was plenty of parking, but during the week I think there's limited parking and may need to be paid.

Went there a few weeks ago for 2 for 1 special. It was really good. Chef came to our table to see how the food was. Went back tonight. Got there at 5.30 pm. Staff didn't even know which was the right menu. Actually staff were totally not interested in serving at all . Ordered a nacho which said on menu came with guacamole. It came with just sour cream, asked the staff for that, he had no interest at all. Took the whole plate back to the kitchen instead of just bringing some back in a small dish. No idea of hospitality or customer service. Had food on the table that was asked if I wanted to take home and I said no thanks it was horrible. Never said sorry I will ask the chef. Just took no notice. As locals will never go back there again, and will be telling our friends. Had to go across the road to Chevron Thai for better service and food.

Very first place I've ever gone to that has sold out of 2 for 1 on a full menu If this is how they treat customers then the food is probably just as bad. Go to the Thai place,or like me and my partner the yummy fish and chips shop across the road At least they are not doing fake promotions

Me and my wifey decided to take advantage of the Tuesday 2 for 1 special. What 2 for 1 special? It's 7.40pm and it's sold out It's been advertised for a week, but we were told we could buy from the full menu. The 2 for 1 was even still outside. Terrible service and treating your customers like idiots

Unfortunately this pub died when they decided to renovate.. such a shame as it was a great pub with great atmosphere. Now it’s a empty Den, R.I.P Chevy Tav 🍻

Don’t be fooled by the paid reviews or the promise of it being “the heart of chevron”. It may have been renovated but it’s still the same old shady dump it has always been. Drunk deros by day gambling on the horses and fights & drug deals by night. Best avoided.

Just had the best roast in a long time absolutely beautiful

Decent enough little bar. Toilets were well-maintained. I enjoyed the comedy on the Tuesday nights once a month as well.

Once was great, however after 2021 & renovation into pokie venue place went down hill pre pandemic & post panic demic dark dingy place did have open front bar onto street completely ruinned this establishment , From friendly staff, great meals etc, to rude staff management post 2021

Well what can I say! I had my birthday at the tavern last night and Pearce and the staff were absolutely amazing !! We had the dining room and everything was wonderful. We were able to decorate and move tables to suit, and the nibbles were awesome 😍 The room was just perfect.Thank you so much Pearce for a memorable night and definitely see you soon.
