Delicious Chinese food and friendly staff

Disappointing Experience at Club Sydney RSL I recently visited Club Sydney RSL and ordered the chicken schnitzel. When it arrived, it was noticeably undercooked, which is a serious food safety issue. I raised the concern with the staff, but they completely denied it instead of addressing the problem or offering a solution. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of responsibility and customer care. I expected much better from an establishment like this. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place. Response to review response As far as i am aware the chicken remains pink if it has been in freezer for long time and is not cooked properly. Furthermore when I mentioned it was not cooked Chef didn’t provide me with any temperature readings to make sure it was cooked

Food isn't bad...

I actually enjoyed it at the Club Sydney. I played the keno, but I didn't try the food as I already at somewhere else, probably next time. The staff are really nice so is the security guard. Also the people are really nice as well. Laid back, it's a nice place. I would recommend going past and visiting. You don't have to play the pokies to go there, food drinks, chats with locals and keno.

It is good to talk to others. However, generally people are reluctant to share their views or experiences just in case they strike the wrong cord with the other which very often happens. In the situation of the RSL club it pays to keep communication at a cordial and mainly light nature. People are often hurt by the past.

The only club that I visit currently. Due to the soaring cost of living crisis I find this club is the only one that suits me. Even though it is rather compact and small the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff very helpful and friendly in their approach. Being situated near the centre of the city I am able to leave the premises and do various chores that I attend in the area. Sydney is the oldest city in Australia and my membership at this club dates back to 1985. Although my membership has not always been current it is the first club that I ever joined. There was another club I joined in 1985 in Surrey Hills, it was called the Sydney Trade Union Club. I have a feeling it is now defunct. Well so much for clubbing, I am not really a fan but in a large metropolis they can be beneficial and rewarding. Sincerely, Thomas Stevens.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The beer is dirt cheap, the staff are friendly and there is a good choice of machines. I visit every time I come to Sydney. There is a chair out the front so you can sit down and think about what you just did. Escalator in, elevator out. Those are the only rules.

Worst place. Zero standards. Serving drunk people. Food being prepared in the main bar. Toilets in a foul state. Sad this serves under the RSL banner.

My family met there to celebrate 2 birthdays. It was great atmosphere. The food indeed very good and tasty. Service great 👍

Wasn't given lunch special menu, so didn't know then only one main came out even though there were NO share plates, so hubby ate, rice got cold. 2nd meal came when hubby was finished and rice stone cold, so asked them to reheat. Terrible service. Girl should ask, are we sharing or at least not be silly enough to se one plate doesn't mean share

Great place ,only thing the 2 days we went there the beers from the tap were sour ,undrinkable.

Great service! Would recommend this place to anyone. The Chinese was so good! Flavour had me jumping! And to end the night me and the boys played the pokies.

Nice place, had a go on the pokies did ok, went for dinner but was a bit empty (about 6:30 on a Wednesday) so went elsewhere, staff were very friendly and pokie staff very helpful. Fair chance I’ll be back again!!

We only ate from the mini food stall that was located upon entering Club Sydney in the morning - we did not go any further into the Club Sydney building, so I have no idea what actually goes on in there, but we ate the pork buns served to us by an elderly lady who looked really happy. Service was really nice. Maybe I have the wrong store.

Nice quait small club, friendly staff

They let people follow you and watch you playing machines and they never stop them from it. You put $1000 in and someone is on your machine before you win it’s horrid this place needs help! I put $1000 in a machine won nothing and the next person won $25,000

After coming here recently,I've come a few times more. Staff are nice and the place is extremely clean and well maintained. I'll try the restaurant on the upper level next time.

It was ok...i was lookn forward to a good ole fashioned aussie pub...instead its a chinese rsturant with 4 western dishes...i got chinese springrolls with a hot outside but frozen veg inside...im not sure why its still a RSL when its decked out in a chinese resturant....at least the beer was cold...not sure why they took pics of our lincence to enter a chinese resturant ...prob because of the pokies on level 1

So for years I thought this was a weird RSL. You go upstairs and it's this small but classy mini RSL (I would even say it's like a classy pub) to then go the other day to find out there is more levels (the cocktail lounge is awesome)..... Unreal. My only bit of advice is to maybe throw some signs to let you know about the other levels. Still giving 5 stars

Nice chinese restaurant on lvl 2. $19.90 mains with $3 for boiled rice. szechuan beef was on point, well balanced flavours.

Nailed it... nice venue, cosy... lots to do.

My sister and I were disgusted that smoking was allowed in the gaming room.
