The receptionist was nothing bit rude my wntire stay, she wasnt a pleasant human being at all. Not helpful, not kind or understanding. She shouldnt have that role, she isnt suited, i wont ever be back, and i will tell everyone i know about this absolutely most unpleasant experience. My thoughts are she decided she didnt like me the second she looked at me. It was a waste of money. Dont bother

We booked super last minute but the manager who checked us in was so incredibly friendly and helpful! The rooms had heaps of room and very clean and comfy! Showers had great pressure and nice and hot

The rooms are 'fine' nothing fancy. The service is not really there but that's what we expected. Location is good but bit of hill on walk back if in foot. Nice view.

It was lovely to have been welcomed by the beautiful and super friendly receptionist, Ashley upon arrival. What a girl! She is the best person at the hotel to date, did not make us wait for the room to be ready (as previously done), got the booking correct on the ground floor (as I had to previously beg as he didn't get it ready). And a wonderful chat, it couldn't get better. Take care in the car park, it is on a slope. I helped a car load of girls this morning who parked nose in at the right end, where the ground was uneven. it took a while, but I got the RWD EV out in one piece. |Room: Please think about 2 chairs for the dining area. The room has a bed for 2, and the room is booked for 2. We found 2 chairs in many hotels in China, yet lacking here Down Under.

Thought self contained ment don't need to ask for anything, after 2 visits to reception in 2 days for bin bags, dish washing liq, dish washer powder, a tray to cook in the oven. Was clean tidy room, was nice and spacious. Carpark was bit tricky on a steep slope and gets full quick. $2 to do laundry

It's a motel, not a hotel. I was woken up by neighbours at the location at 2.30 who were drunk and talking for the much of the night after this point It's not the establishments fault, but had I known this place resembled that of a motel (shouldn't be marketed as otherwise) I would not have stayed here. All I expect is a quiet place to sleep.

AVOID!! This property falsely advertises it's rooms. Booked for 2 nights, stayed 1. The refurbished rooms are nothing like advertised. I brought this to the attention of reception immediately and was moved to another room of the same standard?!?!!! Checked out after the first night and politely asked for compensation for the second night as we were not willing to stay due to the poor condition of the property/ room. Was blantanly told they would offer us nothing! The rooms are old and dirty (see attached photos). I will be lodging complaints with Australian Consumer Affairs, AHA and ACCC.

Cold shower after the preceding night's storm. Room was okay, but for the cost, meh. Sound isolation between rooms was ordinary.

My umpteenth stay at this hotel, undergoing several knee surgeries. Close to St Luke's Hospital, walking distant away. Carpark has easy access. Ensure handbrake works extremely well as carpark is on a slope. Greeted by a new staff member, Josh. His first day on the job! He did reasonably well considering. Very friendly & polite young gentleman. Did not get my room request right, but corrected it promptly. (Top floor to ground floor). All went well. Outside lights illuminate the bathroom for night visits. Rooms are reasonably quiet, only car noise is slightly heard from the ground floor room. Room was 'deluxe' and has QS & Single beds. Microwave, bar fridge, kettle with beverage making tea/coffee/etc supplied. View is nice, garden to old buildings and farmland in the distant. Will certainly stay there again. It's a great hotel in Launceston and close to the local Private Hospital.

Shared a room for 5, no hot water to shower. Contacted reception was told a plumber would be there in 30 mins, 40 mins later we went to reception, was told maintenance man would come up to room in 10 mins, 25 mins later no sign of him, we got dressed and left. Upon getting to the car the maintenance man said, sorry can I offer you another room to shower in, we had already lost half the morning of our travel day. Have contacted management for a refund and absolutely no response. No apology, no nothing. Disgusting, hot water and showering is a basic human right isn't it? Will never recommend this place to anyone, have already been spreading the word of how bad it was.

Old and very dated , mattress was extremely uncomfortable . 5 of us stayed cold showers rang told maintenance man would come at 9am, went to office at 9.30 told he be there soon , went to office at 9.45 and still no maintenance man . Left with no one having a shower . Absolute discrace will never return AND CERTAINLY WOULD'NT RECOMMEND TO ANY BODY !!!!!!!

Stayed for 1 night 5 of us, had no hot water to shower, called office will send someone at 9am, 9.30 call again, 9.45 I tell them we are leaving asked for some reimbursement, All 5 left with no shower 😡 got nothing Won't ever stay again. Showering is a basic human necessity

Stayed for 2 nights and it was terrible. (Couldn't get rooms anywhere else) Old and worn. TV stopped working after about an hour and staff notified but never looked at it or replaced it. Noisy, cold and awful. Parking is a joke. WOULD NEVER STAY AGAIN.

Very basic room as reflected by the price. Musty smell upon arrival - opened the windows and it was fine. Mattresses and pillows are in desperate need of an upgrade; Zero support and we could feel the springs. Despite this, the room was very warm (effective split system) and quiet - no road noise. Shower was excellent - very HOT water and great pressure. Excellent location - central to everything and we had a lovely view from our room. Would stay again for the footy! Very close to UTAS stadium.

Booked for a night. Tricky to find but it's nicely secluded. No lifts in the vicinity and missed out on the city view as we were placed on corner ground floor - wc turned out okay as im w an active little one. Friendly staff, booked on time, basic amenities but clean, nice lay out, beds are comfortable, surprisingly quiet and had a restful sleep (as we noticed quite a number of stayers on day of booking) Swimming center and City Park very close by.

Well your service was very lovely, my friends and i have decided to stay for one more night in our same room as i was able to get it again for tonight. The receptionist was very lovely and very kind to tell me how much it was going to be again for us to stay and to give us our same room.

The room we got was nothing like the photos on the web site. We originally booked 1 night at the start and 1 night at the end of our Tassie trip but cancelled our last night stay. Room was very basic 4 flight of stairs to drag our luggage up with no lifts and 3 kids in toe. Rooms need an update but like others have said it reflects the price. Unless you get a good price on the hotel I wouldn’t stay here again.

Price vs quality good. Location good and within walking distance of the center of town. I appreciated the great services from the receptionists. Room could do with a checkup. Shower had a mind of its own when it came to temperature. Rooms can be very noise at times.

Location is good, that's about where it ends. The hot water broke during our stay. We had an event to go to that day so were forced to check-out and check-in to an actual hotel nearby so we could shower. We asked to be refunded for the last day given the place had no hot water and we had to go somewhere at our own cost, the staff's only words were 'well it works now' which 1) the water wasn't yet hot, that takes time and 2) we were already late due to this so that doesn't help at all. Rooms and plain with nothing inside, no cutlery or anything at all, really. Avoid at all costs, would rather sleep in my car then here.

Nice budget hotel. Rooms clean and nice. Basic and exactly what I expected.

Do not stay here! The rooms were so heavy with smoke that we couldnt sleep and the smell was through our clothes all day! The dust was very bad, including bedding and surfaces. We ended up with headlice from the pillows and wont go into detail but it was reportable. We have stayed in many different places around the world and not super fussy but this was very bad! The funishings were old but suitable and the kitchenette was useful, but did wash everything befote use. Staff were pleasant. Parking was chalkenging due to the slope so beware if you are renting. We couldnt get a place anywhere else to stay as there was a footy game on unfortunetly. Very disappointing for price paid and being an Aussie motel you would think it would be better.

Older style motel reminiscent of the 70's/80's but the pricing reflects that, and the bonus is larger, more spacious rooms, than more modern accommodation. Location is not totally CBD (we would estimate 700 metres away up quite a hill), but it is adjacent to the excellent Launceston Aquatic Centre/Gym complex and nearby St. Luke's Hospital. As others have said the motel grounds slope severely making parking demanding. We would not recommend this motel for people with mobility difficulties. Our room was reasonably clean, quiet, had a nice-sized TV, comfortable bed, and there was the usual tea/coffee jug, fridge, etc.

We stayed at the Coach House twice on a recent visit to Launceston. Kayne was amazing and so helpful. Hotel is very tidy with good amenities. Excellent location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay at the Coach House on our next visit to Launceston. Highly recommend.

The room was nothing like the photos. Bathroom and toilet heavily stained. Hot water does not meet basic standards, far too hot and dangerous for children, elderly, etc. No decent coffee, milk and sugar. The bed was reasonably comfortable and cleanliness was ok. However, we were disappointed, especially after paying extra hoping to get a better room.

Have always stayed here when in Launceston. However this recent stay was the worst it was impossible to have a shower. As the temperature kept going from perfect to cold. To boiling hot. Couldn't use bedside lamps as the only PowerPoint near the bed was behind the bed head and Couldn't be moved. Otherwise only 3 other PowerPoints and all single outlet so it was hard to change anything. Told reception on checkout and was meet with I don't own the building I can't do anything..

Second stay here at this Coach House in Launceston. The 1st room we booked directly and we stayed in a lovely room, complete with eating table & 2 chairs as well as a lovely little coffee pod coffee maker. Nice coffee too. We also had several bottles of drinking water to use on that occasion. On this occasion, our room, $100 cheaper when booked with a third party for two nights, lacked the nice points mentioned above. No dining table, only one chair, no coffee machine & no bottled water. The Coach House is close to St Luke's hospital yet other hotels are closer to the town center. Parking is easy and there is no restaurant. They have a public laundry and the machines take $2 & $1 coins.

The room was large, clean and has a fridge, microwave, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a large spa bath, as well as the usual bathroom/toilet facilities. As well as a queen size bed there was also a single bed so a small family could stay here. The hotel is located in a very hilly area of Launceston so the car park was a bit of an experience being on a steep slope. We found the hotel to be good value for money and staff were friendly and helpful

Sarah was incredibly kind and helpful! When we discovered that we had mistakenly booked a two-person room instead of a three-person one, Sarah went out of her way to assist us. The rooms offer lovely views of Launceston, and they're kept neat and tidy. The location is fantastic - within walking distance to the CBD, although there is a bit of a climb involved!

I stayed here on my honeymoon. The place was amazing. Not too far from shops right next to the park. The room was lovely and clean and spacious, and we loved the spa bath. Staff were also lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Very minimal, shabby rooms of doubtful cleanliness, at maximal expense. Explicitly states that no service is offered, so to that extent at least the management is honest! But if you are staying two nights or more, you only get one night's worth of tea/coffee/milk/towels etc, even though you are paying for these items in the room charge. ||We had booked and paid for two rooms, but when I arrived the receptionist rudely said I could not check in 'because I did not have the same name as the person who booked', and I would jolly well have to wait until the person who booked arrived. (Actually, the person who booked was my daughter-in-law.) ||This is an extremely rude, discriminatory, and just plain stupid thing to say. For example, a husband and wife could have different names, and arrive separately. Also, I arrived at 3 pm, but what if my daughter-in-law arrived at 10 pm? The polite thing to do would be for the receptionist simply to ask if she could have a word with my daughter-in-law on the phone, or see a text message. ||Another point: the rudest, most aggressive utterance in the 'hospitality' industry is 'Can I help you?' spoken loudly through gritted teeth and rictus smile. The receptionist really ought to book a course at charm school. ||If - despite all - you are thinking of staying here, keep in mind that it is a very steep, long walk down to the city centre - and back up. The Coach House is not suitable for children, as the upper storey concrete walkways and steps are extremely dangerous for toddlers.

Great service and location. Rooms are very basic, but have everything you need plus a nice view of the city. Staff are wonderful - even let me leave my bag at reception for a week while I went hiking. Perfect place to stay before and after a multi-day hiking trip.

Very dorms like basic hotel, I'd give it two * . Rooms appear clean but beds are full of dust, super uncomfortable and AC is centuries old. The place is uphill.

My partner and I stayed here a few nights while travelling around Tazzie. The room was tidy, kind of had a view (not one worth writing home about though). Plenty of parking for guests as well which is always welcome. The room we stayed in had a weird issue with the cold water tap which was frustrating. We reported this to the reception and the staff were very understanding and offered many options to remedy the situation. A+ service If you are looking for cost effective and comfortable accommodation in Launceston try out the Coach House.

It's a clean hotel, showing its age in the bathrooms. The bedroom was standard hotel clean and presentable, no smells, clean comfortable furniture. In the bathroom water regurlarly changed temp while showering including dangerously hot. Walking distance to city park and most of the main street if your fit and don't mind the hill to get back. If you drive just be aware of the sharp slope and stop in the driveway for scraping the front grill of low cars.

This place was a great place to base in launceston as it was walking distance to most things and had car parking. Rooms were good with space, tv and all the other good stuff that comes with places like this.

Had an amazing night at coachouse launceston. Paul, our receptionist was so amazing! Super super friendly and approachable and answered any of our questions we had on the room or local places to eat and travel to. Couldn't have asked for more friendly and great service from Paul, our room was very clean and tidy, no visible mess as we entered and everything was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and professionalism, bathroom was very clean and the water was very hot. Rooms were a touch outdated but very decent for the price so really not much of an issue there! Overall great experience! Would definitely stay here for any time we're in Launceston for sure!

Got off to bad start, had to move rooms on arrival. Contact a little difficult as is late Sunday evening, but I was told which room to go to and all went well after that.|Faily basic hotel somewhat dated but that was reflected in the price. Good value.|Room was basic but clean and had all standard facilities (kettle, microwave, TV ETC.)|Was bigget than many I have stayed in (esp. in Europe)|Paul was the new manager and it was his first day, and he quickly sorted out that I had booked an additional night through reception (I had only booked 4 on Webjet) but it wasn't correctly entered in the system, nor had it been paid for even though I quoted my card No. All was sorted and he was very good to talk to and efficient.|Recommended If you want a basic room and efficient friendly service.

I was charged for 2 rooms which we did not need and they refused to refund the money. They had my credit card on file and used it without authorisation which is illegal. The management refused to follow up on my complaint and provided no reason for their actions. My company will certainly not book with them again as there are plenty of other reputable hotels in the area. Beware!

Filthiest accomodation I’ve ever stayed in. Stained pillows, hairs in beds, dust everywhere, rat baits in kitchen, unsecured fixtures. The shower floor was disgusting. Avoid at all costs.|Bodily fluids on cabinets. The oven was filthy as the bathroom which stunk of mould. The entire ‘apartment’ smelt like mould. So much dust. Housekeeping need to be revised as it looks untouched

Motel Is positioned in a very central location and staff were very friendly. Room was fairly clean, but could use some more dusting and better cleaning of shower and hairs left on linen. The major downside was the occupants in the room next to us. A group of people have a very loud party, walking in and out of the room shouting loudly on the phone and even tried to get into our room. Large groups like this should not be allowed in one small room and better security needs to be put on doors as they locks are so flimsy.

We arrived on the designated date at the arrived time to find the room was not cleaned even though we were told it had been There were used tissues in the bedroom the microwave was filthy the stove top not cleaned. They hadn’t cleaned the expel air fan since god knows when No one had cleaned behind the bathroom door for who knows how long. There was food grease all over the table from previous people dried noodles that had been emptied down the sink . We were told mistakes happen no your cleaning staff are not up to scratch and don’t clean properly and need to be trained properly. I asked is there not an over seer that checks the finished work and was told there was Well they aren’t doing their job either They are the first place to take our money out before we even arrived so we couldn’t just up and leave.
