The kitchen in this place really lets it down. The staff service is fantastic. Atmosphere is great. But the chefs can’t cook a steak. The rare porterhouse came medium and the three scotch filet mediums were rare and bleeding. Sent back but manager and chef’s rude about it. Never again👎🏼

I had the misfortune of dining at this establishment for a friends birthday and was very disappointed with both the food and the service. Not only did they substitute ingredients from what was described on the menu without informing us, the salad was not dressed or seasoned. When the birthday girl wanted to change her meal as the substitute ingredients were not something she would normally eat, there was no apology. She was made to feel like she was doing something wrong and the meal came out after everyone else had finished their meals while she watched. She then asked to take it home in a doggy bag as she felt uncomfortable being the only one eating. This request was denied due to “the law”. Not sure what “law” doesn’t allow doggy bags. Perhaps it was an internal policy but the waiter was adamant it was the law. This is laughable and sorry to the birthday girl for this unsatisfactory dining experience on her special day. Will never go back and I strongly encourage you to reconsider if you’re thinking of spending your money there.

We recently had a function upstairs at the Duke of Edinburgh for our son's birthday. It was such a pleasure to deal with the lovely Rosy who was our Function Manager. Rosy was always happy to accommodate our requests and assist with any queries. The night went really well with great service of food and the venue looked great. We were very happy! A big thank you to Nam and Emma at the bar who were awesome at their job as well as with our guests. Thank you so much Rosy and the team for making our night special and one to remember!

Love this pub! They extended the back which is awesome except the cost of drinks is one of the most expensive on Sydney Road... Their house lager is more reasonable and not a bad drop either. Staff are always attentive and friendly!

Comfortable ambiance, family friendly with attentive staff. Somewhat limited menu. Visited at a time when it wasn't super busy, so we didn't have a long wait for our meal. Chose the Eye Fillet from the grill, asked for medium rare, got it overdone which was disappointing as the premises were recommended by a friend. A chef's mistake? Possibly, I may give it a second chance.

My 2 daughters and I ate here tonight and let me say wow the food was amazing we couldn't fault a single thing the scotch fillet we had was melt in your mouth the staff were all really kind and relaxed and the kitchen looked well managed thank you for a wonderful experience and quilty food at a great price

Lots of parking out the back. Not a fan of walking thru the pokies to get to dinning area Lots of space and the comfortable seating Food was overall good - enjoyed calamari entree but the burger Pattie lacked flavour

Enjoyed eating here when we lived in Brunswick and hadn't been for a long time. Things have not changed and are as good as ever. We selected from the seniors menu. Excellent value.

Love the new menu, dined here tonight with a friend and it was the nicest meal we’ve had. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are attentive and very helpful.

Always great to have a serve of the delicious eggplant chips (extra crispy), but today was exceptionally better with the wonderful service from Nan, who has just started to work there. Great asset to the hotel. Well done!!

We had an amazing experience here today. Naomi and Anushka served our lunch and were absolutely fantastic. Smiling , kind and very very helpful. Absolutely beautiful inside out girls helped us with our meal and for my little one also.

Was a bit slow service, but it was busy so understandable. All in all the food and drinks were good and I'd go back again.

Food was decent, fast to bring out. All the staff felt like they were ready to quit though, so made the atmosphere a bit off.

There was plenty of things to choose from the menu, service was reasonably quick, there was abundant parking to the rear of the establishment. Public transport was also readily available - as in running past the front door, in all aspects it was an enjoyable experience.

Busy place with couples, families and large groups. Tables were well spaced out and not at all cramped. Order and pay at the counter and they’ll allocate you a table number. Got the Chicken Parma. Large thick chunk of crumbed chicken breast, topped with a smidgen of Napoli sauce, ham and loads of melted cheese. The parma was not dry but a bit more napoli sauce would have made it so much better. Fish and Chips - the barra was freshly battered, fried and was juicy and the batter was very light and crisp. It was very good. The tartare sauce was caper dominant, made a great side condiment. Both mains came with the chips and standard pub fare salad. Good portion size. Friendly and great attentive service. Despite being busy plus having to cater for a function upstairs, food arrived promptly.

Great Meal and Staff are very Helpful and I’m grateful as the meals came fast and food was amazing!

I always enjoy coming in for lunch when in town.

Once you walk through the doors you arrive at a quiet place to relax while you watch the busy traffic out side food was delicious and healthy and service was great just what we needed thank to the staff

I have health concerns so eating out at most places is a nightmare... dukes is hit/miss I've been here a few times... 2/4 staff get the order wrong... everything nearly has salt... I get the grilled fish no oil no salt... usually ok... I got one little slice of lemon.. I asked for more she said you have one... that's my flavoring ... I asked for more.. So she brings me a ramikin with one wedge... simply a joke... previously a young tall gentleman.. prob the best waiter there... attention to detail got the ordering perfect and brought me like 5 wedges of lemon.... Another note.. one day the have decaf and then they don't... I cannot have caffeine ..just get it right.. it's either a yes or no.. As a pub for someone that Can eat normally... great place... if you have health concerns it just depends which staff are on... most don't even smile... or pay attention or listen to what you've requested... which is sad cause I'm doing this cause I have health issues...
