Happy hour isn’t happy hour. Ask prices before ordering. I just had a staff member tell me the beer and wine prices change from happy hour 4pm-6pm to social hour 6pm-7pm. Then had a male staff member tell me wine wasn’t on happy hour. I alerted him to the sign on the bar showing the wine prices during happy hour. He said “I’ll make this easy for you” and proceeded to put a sharpie through the wine price.

The pokie room here is really good as the machine a are iaed regularly so there for pay out much more!?

Old and rundown pub focused on making money off gambling. Not a pleasant place to visit.

This was my 'local' for a gd 18 months. Three issues within my last month there. Oddly enough an 'ex' decides to start working as a bar girl there. Plus the Security guard. Hopeless. And a bar manager starts playing the pokies whilst on shift. Highly highly illegal. He was training a new staff member. I tried to let her know this was wrong. Anyway he was the no manners person. Not me

My co-workers & myself go there after a shift to play pool & have a beer. It's always got a good atmosphere & the staff R beautiful. +it's 1 of My locals...

I like it because its open til 3am most 6d/w. & it is quiet there, with few patrons @ any time. Pool, TAB, Pokies, Restaurant/Kitchen. & of course, a Bar.

Has picnic benches outside to enjoy a nice cool beverage as well as pokie machines and good service

These guys have opened their thai kitchen now and the food + drinks are incredible! Dog friendly as well and just cozy inside. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great local joint.

Lovely staff attend to any thought you may have... Comfortable aesthetics..dank style... Barely left Pokie fun, spacious rooms! Lost money had heaps of fun overall 7.5/10!!

Their phone was cut off Was trying to locate a missing person..and drove 5hrs to be told they will look at security cameras and call me back...that call never come...rang a mobile number on their Web page...to get verbally abused by their so call cook...my opinion is I think the cook was cooked and cooking something other then food...this place is a dive...I wouldn't be game to eat there or have drinks there...if you go there keep your wits about yourself..

Kind of dull. If you like to drink where no one will see you and you probably wont see people either.

The website boasts that The George has all original features. It's true. Those green tiles must be from 1965. Well, what's left of them. The prices are cheap. The place looks a bit tired and could use a declutter. I was happy with my steak and chips but wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

I will never step foot into this place again. Went there for lunch with 3 work colleagues we ordered 3 meals, one of the guys has special dietary needs so he had his own lunch with him. As we were eating this rude thing walked over to our table saying you can’t bring food from outside and eat here, but today is ok. He said ok I won’t come back, and the so called woman aggressively started saying you don’t need to comment or argue. A few mins later a customer walks in and orders a beer and asks her how are you and she actually said ‘I’m not good’ just from that comment alone it is clear she should not be in the hospitality industry. SHITÈ SERVICE NOT RECOMMENDED

Came to pub with my workers for lunch as we thought we can have a luxurious lunch. Food was good and all four of us enjoying our food until pim the bartender decided to open her mouth about one of us having our own food (carrying on saying we can not eat other food in here) i agreed with her and she just kept carrying on and telling me to be quiet.she was way too rude, i reckon she should get some otger job out of hospitality. Thanks

Sadly this pub was great, not sure what’s happened but the bar and pokies lay out is terrible. Can clearly see they are only interested in making money off the gambling. The bar staff is beyond terrible, I’ve never seen a pub with such poor customer service. I had to walk into the staff area to ask someone for a drink… I couldn’t find a staff member for close to an hour. Who ever owns this pub should really step it up. If your willing to put that much money in to upgrade your pokies have the staff to match it. If I could rate it zero stars I would.

The Thai bar staff were very friendly There seemed to be a good selection of good priced food. Something that was a bit problematic for me was that the bar is smokey because smoke comes in through from the smoking area out the back. Because it is still kind of undercover the smoke travels through into the main bar. Smoke will always travel under roofs and canopies

Not to bad no bottle shop funny no take away alcohol but food you can't. Such a shame anout the bottle shop. The hotel around the street has rake away and not a big selection but they at least have one

One of the best pubs Ive been in years and the staff are nothing but sweet and very nice I would recommend this pub for family with kids ages from 4yr / teens

The George hotel is a classic, good service and unforgivable specials, two happy hours during the day and also beer of the week which is $15.00 a jug or $5.00 a schooner (a must have)... I look forward to come back and give it a try to the kitchen. Chicken wings for $10.00 was a good one.

Nice staff, open till 2am (alot later than most of the bars in the area) can go there for a late night drinks and extremely reasonable prices. Would recommend

The George has the potential to be a really nice neighbourhood pub. The beer is cold, the food is tasty, but the staff just couldn't care less. Customer service? Just isn't a thing here.
