So honestly speaking, I know I’m very critical…but I usually never have an incident where I am seriously picky about food or actually leave something because I think it’s a waste. The Harp of Erin however made it very difficult for me to live up to my standards concerning this aspect. In fact I ordered a Harp Burger, but the Beef Patty tasted like a ton of flour mixed together with beef liver… Despite this issue, the rest of the meal was absolutely gorgeous, the interior design and atmosphere make it a fun place to be at and the service is friendly while being professional, that’s why I rate it a total of 4 stars. Just fix the patty please!🥹 thank you!!

An excellent menu with something for everyone and fresh draught beer from the tank make our Friday nights at the Harp memorable ❤️ The staff are always friendly and helpful and if you're lucky you can even win some cash 💰 in the lucky draw. The battered barramundi is a particular favourite 😋

Had dinner here su day 4th February 2024. Ordered porterhouse steak and it was so tough snd inedible. So disappointed.

The Indian manager at the bistro I think his name is Criss not a good or fit to be in his position. I took my wife to eat dinner there today and he made us feel uncomfortable and eyed me off to have a fight he gave me a dirty look and made me feel uncomfortably in front of my wife . He said you don’t like the food ?? It was very clear that we ate all of the food he is not fit to be there as the manager he was a bully and not professional to be a manager there he needs to learn a lot of respect and be reminded that he is serving people!!!

Friendly Service. Community feeling. Great food and customer service. Went again yesterday and had the fish special - herb and parmesan crusted snapper - absolutely out of this world. Keep an eye on the specials board peoples - they change frequently and I have had no complaints so far.

Chefs never learnt how to cook a steak

My local pub, always a good stop in. Has great meal deals on mondays for $25 for dinner and a pot, great prices for most beers (can’t go wrong with a $12 pint of guiness). Convinently next to the bottle shop and the cop shop, with a large parking lot across the street.

I love visitng this place with my client. The staff are all so FRIENDLY the food is so failr Priced. The athmosphere is so comfortable. I have left somehting behind twice already and the lady in the counter has kept it safe for me and has a massive warming smile all the time! Thanks for being such beautiful support to my client. Hearing about a friend being banned & got 6 months cos he asked politely for a Hot Chocolate Drink. Also if someone gives you money to play with it’s none of the Hotels business what so ever!!! We most definitely won’t be going there!!!

Had dinner here Thursdsy night before the Grand Final. Great looking pub with a nice atmosphere. Staff are polite and friendly. Awesome selection of beers on tap which was impressive. It was quite busy but that's no excuse for the undercooked chicken parma my friend and I received. It was cold, the cheese had just melted and it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The only reason we finished our meals was bc we both skipped lunch and were starving! Sorry, I don't like posting not so good reviews. I'm just being honest. The parma was disappointing. Which was a shame bc we both love them and were looking forward to dinner.

This is such a great place, staff are so helpful and obliging. Meals first rate 👏 Looked after our family including 2 little ones brilliantly.

Excellent food/service

The hotel pub/bar has a pleasant atmosphere, attracting a lot of seniors enjoying the special menu for them. I ordered the roast pork, and while the meat was tender and flavorful, it was slightly salty—probably from the gravy. Unfortunately, the pork skin was not crispy as expected; it was quite chewy. We also tried the fish and chips. The portion was very generous—half would have been enough. The chips were excellent—crispy and flavorful—but the fish had a strong, fishy taste, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, a mixed experience.

Forgot pics but Had the herb crusted lamb chop and it was delicious. And osso bucolic. If GREAT! Try it.

A great place to eat, but ruined by rubbish reservation system. Every FvCkin time I reserve a table…. Dead, nothing going on. Anytime I walk in hoping to get a table…nope, either busier than Bourke Street or every table reserved with nothing happening. I’m done, I’m out. I’ll just go to the Elgin for my pub experience.

Ordered 3 x 300 gram, $40 steaks, 2 were as expected, the third was a small, flat 200 gram, at best, overcooked thing that looked like a minute steak for a steak sandwich. How it was even plated up and sent out is beyond me. Looked like meat from kids menu . Sent it back and waited 35 minutes for a replacement meal, which ended up being as tough as a beach thong, and really ruined the whole experience. I am local and tried this bistro with the family, for the first - and absolutely last time! Only highlight was the solo musical entertainment later in the night. 🤙🏽

This pub has the goods

An authentic pub in a great location with lovely atmosphere. The seating layout and style in the bistro is fantastic, as are the booths. The drinks are cold and the food is hearty and tasty.

Lots of places to sit. Great range of viewing to watch sports they have TV's in every dining area. Staff are friendly Food is great Not a bad range of beers on tap

Well, probably add one of the worst evenings at the Harp Hotel tonight, we arrived at 6:40, and we ordered the lamb cutlets, pork roast of the day, the parmigiana, in the chicken and mushroom pie,l from the specials board, and we didn't get our food to at least an hour and a half later, my friend was so upset he handed the parmigiana back, because they could not give us sufficient excuse as to why the food was so late, it was extraordinary, the pork roast and the lamb cutlets I'm not exceptional but was was certainly good enough, and for me the chicken pie was very nice, but my wife's pork roast the day had more mashed potato and peas also had carrots which mine could have too, than what I had , it is hard to explain actually, whilst the Pie was served Hot I did feel that the mashed potato and peas and the gravy on it, was not sufficiently hot, it was just barely warm enough which frankly I can do a lot better at home here than that, this is really good enough especially for the prices that are charged nowadays, I do feel something was decidedly wrong this evening, as it is not normal, as we are regulars there, but just maybe we might have to reconsider that and maybe have to find somewhere else until they get their act together here. It certainly spoilt our whole evening. J Harris.

Years ago it was a great place. It’s lost it’s appeal over time. The food is ok. The service is terrible. They won’t even put on another sporting event on TV! Sad lot!

We had a group of 12 gentlemen visit for lunch after a morning game of golf at Green Acres in Kew. Majority of us had the Parma & a pot of beer - $22 for a 9 plus quality meal 👍👍 Super service from the lady behind the bar taking the orders 👏👏

Another quality pub bistro. Good food and generous sized serves too. The parma was excellent and the beers were cold. The only query is very limited parking (across the road) or else on street.

Made a reservation in the afternoon for a table tonight. Arrive at reservation time to be told there was a mix up with tables, but they were going to sort it. Shortly after a new table was set up....outside the women's toilets. We sit, and a gentleman at the table next to us leaves, so I ask to move. One staff member says it's fine, another says we have to move because it's reserved. I made a reservation too! We leave because I'm not sitting next to the toilets for dinner. Complete waste of time, don't bother making a reservation unless you enjoy the finest of restroom dining.

Good meals, friendly atmosphere

We go here a fair bit and always enjoy it. The staff are friendly and well organised and the food is of a very good and consistent quality. We have been going there for many years now.

Staff are always friendly, the attached bottleshop isn't large but has a reasonable selection of wine and beers. Can't comment on the food.

Was there for a wake, but my experience of pubs, it would be a good place to enjoy a meal and a few drinks. I would highly recommend this hotel. If you lived around the area.Snacks which were passed 👍 👌 was great.

This place is really good and nice seating arrangements for a pub. The meals are delicious, my favourite ones are the chicken Parma and the salt & pepper squid. The roast pork is an all time classic and a must try if you are a fan of pork. I come here frequently for lunch and dinner and they have great quality food and the staff are nice and friendly. I would recommend this place if you want to explore or are meeting with friends. They also cater well for group events and are heavily involved in supporting local sports clubs, i take my hat off to the good old Harp! Prices for meals are also reasonable and very affordable.

Food ok, atmosphere great. Overall, I’ll be back.
