Schnitz Southland

Worst store I've ever been to. Staff rude, refuse to help when asked for. Don't give dips that every single store gives and makes it more difficult than ever to enjoy my meal. It ain't hard not to burn nugget, but somehow these idiots did. Need to learn from the doncaster store how to give good food.

Much better experience at the Southland shopping centre store, then the Chadstone Village store, which I ordered on the 14th of February. Where I left a review saying the chicken and gravy loaded chips had no cheese sauce hardly any gravy and only 4 pieces of chicken on it. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the food as I never thought of doing it. Plus the kids I babysit for ate the majority of it. I decided to have my loaded chips in peace at the Southland store and it was %100 better than Chadstone Village. I have eaten at the Southland store before and they have always been good. Attached is a photo of the Southland stores loaded chips, with chicken and gravy. Chadstone Village stores one never looked anything like this one.

Chips under cooked Staff no not understand requests I was told that when we are busy we cannot control the food quality- I said I would notify the Franchise manager

Slowest place that i’ve ever seen! a good tip for the place would be to rehire staff and tell them instead of always talking to each other, do some work!!!!

Their wraps were once hefty and store had long queues, now it’s deserted and wraps are stingy in contents.

Ordered from DoorDash and I’ve been waiting for two hours. Tried calling the store and they’re pretending to have issues with the phone. You had a delivery driver waiting there for an hour, it’s absolutely disgusting to not only treat customers that way but also other people that are delivering your food. They rely on these orders and you just waste their time like that?! Absolutely abhorrent, your staff are immature and unprofessional. Hopefully you get rid of whoever is running your store on closing shift because they’re absolutely horrid at their job.

I just found a long black hair inside of my schnitz wrap. This is disgusting and I’m so put off of my food.

In Southland's food court there are plenty of choices and Snitz is not one I go to often. It reminds me of Grill'd without the seating. (There is seating in the food court if you time your visit) 3 of our foursome tried the schnitzel salad which was ok but nothing special - person 4 went for a burger and was happy with it. 2 salads, chips and a drink came to $45 for 2 of us.

Best chips I’ve ever had. These people are crazy. How do they make these chips so yummy? They are the perfect crunch, have a great flavour and are a good portion size. It is a little pricey here but for a good reason. Literally only came here for the chips. I also got a “Ham” Parma but it didn’t actually have ham, but I don’t really mind that because it was still yummy. Parma’s are one of my favourite foods so maybe I am a little biased towards this place, but its soooo good. I recommend. This seriously can’t be a fast food place, because fast food is meant to taste bad. I LOVE YOU SCHNITZ!!!

Poor customer service

Food was cold late and missing the item and then they said come get Ur missing item defeats the purpose of having menu log never again rubbish...

UPDATE - response to owner: You didn't provide contact information for me to get in touch. Ordered an online pickup order. Arrived at store, they were closed and cleaning up for the day. As they couldn't provide me with my food, I asked for a refund, they told me to contact Schnitz head office via email. Have emailed several times and have not received a refund. They keep making false promises and never deliver. AVOID THIS COMPANY! I was an avid customer for many years, and will no longer be purchasing from any Schnitz store due to the deplorable behavior.

Today I went to the Southland Food court and ordered the American Dream in a wrap with medium chips. The wrap had too much sauce that overflowed when I took a bite and the chicken tasted like rubber. The chips used to be the best compliment to the food but all I got looks like the end of the bag of chips, all small and way too deep fried with no seasoning. Regret, after having food poisoning earlier this year from the same store, today is the final straw for me. That was $20 that I would have rather spent on something worthwhile and edible.

Booring

Bought the OMG burger and after paying, I realized I was charged almost $20 for the burger when it’s supposed to be $16.90 I queried it and was told it had a 15% public holiday surcharge. In a food court! Then the egg was cold, the bacon at room temperature, and an untoasted bun left the whole burger cold. Won’t be back again, ever. Parkmore is so much better in quality.

They put animal products based salt on the chips so that a vegetarian cannot eat their products. Ask which salt people want when they are buying a salad and chips. No offer of a refund.

It takes a while to get the food here as they open at 11.30 am. Considering they're located in a food court & peak hours are from 12pm - 1.30pm, they could be smarter about their operations. Service is quite unfriendly most of the time & food quality is inconsistent.

Waited 25 minutes for a schnitzel and salad

On 7th May I ate here,as I have done before,but NEVER AGAIN. Due to the staff I got a very late order and a serve of FOOD POISIONING...Ihave been so sick!!!! I will be warning people about this Southland store

Food was below average, my burger was Luke warm and comprised of 2 small strip's of chicken.

Ordered for family and I ended up with no food. Would not recommend as they can't even fill an order.

Burnt chicken, paid couple of dollars more for extra cheese, and nothing there. Cut open the chicken to see how it's cooked, they burnt it so much that chicken tastes bitter. What a shame! Literally had to throw it. It's an online order. If I ordered in place definitely would have complained in person.

Compared to other Schnitz stores this is the worst. The schnitzels are getting smaller and smaller, and they don’t have the same crispiness as other stores. It’s just not worth it. I won’t be going back here.

The Schnitz in a wrap is my favourite. The pharmagiana with chips are also delicious. Usually 10 to 15 minutes wait time.

Definitely not worth spending your dollars at this Schnitz.. Ordered a Parma and Chips.. The staff never bothered asking if I was eating in or takeaway, they presumed I was taking away which is bizarre given the location being in shopping centre food court.. So, they packed the food unnecessarily in loads of paper products including a bag and cardboard containers when everything could have simply gone on a single plate.. Waited 14 minutes for the food to come out and when it did, I was disappointed in how small the proportions are. I also think Schnitz need to know that some tomatoes sauce and a sliced cheese doesn't make a Parma.. Totally disappointing.

Clean, reasonable price and friendly staff. A good purchasing and dining experience on a choice of seating right in front of the store.

Don’t eat at this Schnitz! Chicken always over cooked. If you do , make sure not to add any extras because you’ll be paying but not receiving. Money better spent at any of the other vendors in the food court.

Food was great and at a reasonable price for shopping centre takeaway. Staff were friendly and helpful when making changes to the order.

States that they are open until 9pm however they stopped taking orders at 6:45pm.

I was order no.3 had to wait 20 MINUTES for my food,fast food they call it!!! I would have been served faster in a Restaurant, there goes my lunch break ,not to mention the wrap was slapped together and COLD

Loved the sweet potato chips

Served me stone cold chicken from a rack on a table with no heat lamp. Refused to put the money back onto my card (how I paid) and insisted I receive a cash refund. Staff member apologised, then continued to serve people chicken from the cold rack. Hope I don't get food poisoning. AVOID!!!

I have found the schnitz is usually a safe bet for a decent meal out, and being on a budget means I try to make the most out of my meal when I decide to eat out. So for my lunch today I had the displeasure of eating the smallest overcooked parma ever. Made so quickly I find it so hard to believe it was cooked fresh. It didnt taste fresh. Simple eyes could have seen that it was overcooked yet you still seemed to find it okay to serve up. There was so much more to this that I could go on about but... Seeing your other reviews of poorly made food it seems no one their has learnt anything about the service of quality food. The idea is simple when it comes to food, give the customer quality food to keep them happy to come back... serve the crud you did, you lose customers. No second chances from me.
