The worst customer service I’ve ever had. I had to hold back tears a couple of times because of how poorly the flooring salesman treated and spoke to me. I was asking questions, not being ‘difficult’. Went straight to Carpet Choices and the guy basically volunteered everything I needed to know in ten minutes and treated me very well. So it was definitely not me, but the Harvey Norman salesman.
Amazing selection of everything
I ordered some items from the electronics department that were supposed to be delivered. I missed the delivery because I thought they would call beforehand, like other departments do. I waited around for half the day and finally called them, only to be told they came, knocked a few times, and then left. I rescheduled for the day after tomorrow but later changed my mind and pushed it to the next day. When I spoke to someone, they confirmed the new delivery date. Now, on the day of delivery, I’ve been waiting all morning with no sign of the delivery. I called again and was told I’d have to pay extra for the reschedule and that the delivery isn’t confirmed. Why didn’t the previous person mention the additional fees?
Sent a phone in for product care claim Waited 2 months for anything to happen shocking communication had to keep calling them to ask what was going on, nothing had happened, called again to say my phone had been waiting there ready to be picked up for a while, bad communication thought they were gonna call me to tell me that but no I had to call them to see what was going on
Service was poor, producr knowledge was limited, travelled to Moonah to buy instead.

I purchased a mobile gimbal from Harvey Norman Launceston, and unfortunately, it turned out to be faulty. I tried calling them multiple times, but every time someone picked up, I had to explain the issue repeatedly to different representatives. Each time, they promised to connect me to another department, only for the call to be disconnected. This happened three times, and it was extremely frustrating. I can't understand why they treat their customers this way. It's disappointing and unacceptable. Experiences like this are exactly why people are shifting towards online shopping—no wasted time and no need to deal with such poor service. Harvey Norman, this is shameful and needs immediate attention.
Looking at white goods at Harvey Norman Launceston ask for Benny! I recently bought a washing machine over the phone & the customer service I received was absolutely amazing 10/10!
Just called then and I was told they have no popcorn makers in stock. This is why I try to avoid harvey normon, such a massive store and so many times i call they're out of stock. Don't waste your time.
Terrible service arranged and paid for delivery for an online purchase. Phoned re delivery update 2 weeks after purchase to be told they couldn’t deliver after all. Then they were unable to process refund of delivery fee still waiting to have that resolved. Meanwhile have arranged for a local courier to collect and deliver next Monday for less than Harvey Norman quoted. Useless!

My husband and I have been dealing with Bailey in Bedding / Manchester for the last 7 weeks. Each time we have purchased our furniture, Manchester etc, Bailey has gone above and beyond to assist us with each product. His knowledge , guidance and exceptional customer service is up their at the top. Always willing to go out of his way in his department, and other areas of the store. Keep up the amazing service Bailey.
It is so unfortunate that I have been into the computer department and had to wait over 20min to get served whilst I was literally the only person in that particular department. 3 staff just talking between themselves and walking around.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff especially Ben in the white goods area. I was very impressed with his knowledge and understanding of what we wanted and his product knowledge. The whole experience was amazing and every staff member was happy and enjoyed being at work, as you could see they enjoyed their work environment. You don’t often see that these days and we were not just a number, like most places these days. They helped make our choices effortless and easy which was fantastic. It was also nice to see the staff having a joke around here and there and it made us feel as though we had come to the right place for our appliances. We will definitely be a return customer. We just wanted to say thank you so much to Ben for making these decisions so easy and stress free
Wanted to buy a phone outright but pushy salesperson said go through your Optus account you will save money then he tried to hook a lot of things on to package then another person took over not a very good sales person salesperson looking for kickbacks so in the end told them to go and shove it phone was over a thousand dollars .last person actually laughed at me silly you boy I have run my own businesses for about 30 years dont need a cock head to tell me what I need .over the years have bought a lot of things there but no more. Got the worst experience in such big tech company. Had given my laptop to harvey back in 26th June 2024, due to broken screen and some software issues. They made me believe product care will do something as I got product care. Alas, I got i back on 6th September 2024, which is 73 days after with nothing happened, except screen fixed ( I paid money for it). I just need to wait a long, a very long time, wasting my time and with no pc/laptop to do doc works. Had they not make me believe about product care before, I would fix my laptop in different place and in less price with time saving. I am really really disappointed, with the customer service and the so called product care. So, I would recommend not to get this product care, just a waste of money.
Just drove up from Oatlands to look at white goods & maps put me in Customer Carpark, behind Redine Bus terminal for Harvey Norman. An angry warehouse guy came out & ordered me out - said it was for customers. I said was looking fir Harvey Norman & he told me I wasnt a customer. He yelled at me & told me to leave. Please look up my account & see how much I have spent previously. Totally insulted

Let down by these incompetent clowns once again. Promised goods by Christmas, with a guarantee and they take 3 days from printing to postage and miss Christmas. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!
Never again. Ordered something online weeks ago. Received a shipping confirmation email a few days later but the item didn't arrive so I followed up. My order wasn't even in the store let alone shipped. Was told it would be shipped later that week and I'd definitely have it by Christmas. A week and three phone calls later, still nothing. No one called me back as promised. Finally went through the delivery manager on the mainland and within 2 hours, my order has been shipped from Devonport. The incompetence and unprofessionalism of the Launceston store is simply incredible.

I have been in business for over 30 years, and I have to say my recent experience at Harvey Norman Launceston was extremely disappointing. I visited the store to purchase a power bank that was clearly advertised at half price. When I asked a staff member named Adil about buying it, he took the item off the shelf along with the sale tag and proceeded to the counter. However, after several minutes at the computer, Adil informed me that the power bank would be charged at full price. When I questioned this, he claimed the sale had ended. It turned out that Adil knew the sale had ended when he retrieved the sales tag, as he discreetly and dishonestly ripped it up into tiny pieces without telling me. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told the manager wasn’t available. Instead, another salesperson, Alex, approached me and confirmed that the sale had ended more than a week ago, but the sale price tag was still displayed. Alex offered to sell the item at a “wholesale” price, which was still 20% more than the advertised sale price. When I expressed that this was not acceptable, Alex made a rude comment, suggesting that if it wasn’t about the money, I should just buy it anyway. This entire experience was extremely frustrating. As a business professional, I know that misleading advertising is not just unethical but also against Australian Consumer Law. The lack of customer service and the dismissive attitude of the staff only added to my frustration. I chose not to purchase the item from Harvey Norman and instead bought it at full price from another retailer. I will not be shopping at Harvey Norman Launceston again and strongly recommend that the management invest in training their staff on proper customer service and legal obligations. It’s not just about the money; it’s about principles and treating customers with respect.

No good if you need anything to be repaired. I have been contacting them once a week to get information on my product they sent off to get fixed and each time they say they will ring bissell then ring me back but never do. 7 weeks and counting. Always demand a replacment with them.
Thought we were getting great service when we called up to purchase a washer and dryer at almost $3k. Did everything over the phone and seemed smooth enough until it came time for delivery a few days later. Got the text the day before to give us our delivery window of 9.45-12.45 which was great. We were in the middle of moving house so planned our day around it. Got a follow up text the next morning at 9am confirming that our products were on the truck and on their way. 10.19 and received the text to let us know it was on its way to us. Then at 10.25 received a final text to say “delivery wasn’t able to be completed”. I called the number it gave me and it was the warehouse saying it couldn’t be delivered because it hadn’t been approved. It wasn’t even on the truck! He said he would call the store and get the sales agent to call me. She did and the purchase hadn’t been approved on her end, even though we had paid, and she had stuffed up. I was told we could get it delivered at 4pm so I asked if there was anything earlier. She said she’d check and call me back. I never got a call back and I had to call the store again. I was told that the earliest she could find was 3.30 so she assumed it wouldn’t be any better. She should have called back to tell me that. So we rearrange our moving plans last minute to make sure we’ll be there at 4pm and we wait and wait and the delivery doesn’t arrive until 6pm! Just added more stress to an already stressful day.

Please train your checkout staff to smile, engage with your customers and be polite. Purchased an item in Launceston this morning. No greeting, no thankyou. Just snapped at us with the price. Not a good look for Harvey Norman.
Great selection of prints, furniture etc. Great staff in the furniture section, very helpful. Some of the stock in the small goods is disappointing, too much of the same brand , would recommend doing your homework when purchasing.
My go-to place for tech. Great staff.

I ordered a replacement part for my dyson vacuum still on warranty in early December. Have not received the part, have called and gone in store, keep telling me it's been ordered, haven't been very helpful. Feel like they aren't doing anything , no customer service. I won't be buying anything else from Harvey Norman.

Poor service, stood there for 10 minutes and was only approached by a lady on her way out with her bag in her hand, said the item i wanted was not in stock and instead of showing me to a similar product offered to order in or go elsewhere. Went to The Good Guys and got a better deal.

A good Harvey Norman store. However, I only wanted a USB lead, which was in a hurry, yet it seemed to take an eternity to buy such a simple purchase at HN. Salesman wanted my phone number and details, which is fine if I'm buying a more significant purchase, but this was a simple $15 lead. I nearly walked put because it was soooooo unbelievably difficult to just get a small item, take it to the cashier and buy. The Salesman had to produce a 'cash receipt ' then I went to the cashier who had to retrieve it, then process it, then 'book it out' seriously 😐 I just wanted to buy and go...it took 15min to buy a simple lead. Do better HN, do much better, please.
Leigh from flooring gave us excellent service. He went out of his way to ensure we were happy with the end product. I would highly recommend him.

Launceston Harvey's is the best in Tasmania by far, thanks to the incredible service delivered by staff like Megan in electrical (wow x 2) and now Thomas in furniture. A bit of care factor, witty banter and follow up with information, availability and pricing is just a bit of what you'll get. Worth a try, even if you've never had great dealings with HN in the past.

The salesman sold me a Norton subscription pack without letting me know it would not be able to be refund ed, even if it was not used. Came in the very next day with the receipt but no refund was forthcoming. Appalling service.
Staff don’t bother with you when it’s an online order. Buy elsewhere where they treat you like a customer and not a hassle to them! Never spending a cent at that launceston Harvey Norman again.
Great customer service, as always. Staff knew about all the products I was interested in, advised what would suit best for the job I needed doing, and made the whole process quick and painless. Ended up buying a bit more expensive unit than I had planned, but the benefits were clearly laid out, so I'm happy with the purchase. Will skip the Good Guys completely next time, and go straight to the people who actually know what they're on about, and look after their customers!

Went to purchase a smart watch after researching prices online, no sale tickets on any products in store but they were all on sale online, got the item at the sale price but I wonder how many people paid the normal ticket price and didn't know any different
Horrible service with snarky staff who lied, gaslit and tried to turn everything going wrong on us. The only person we got any information from was a phone call to someone in a mainland branch, the only good part of this experience. Had they owned the mistake they made we would have far less furious than what we are after spending hours being given the runaround.

Noone acknowledged us as we browsed t.vs soundboard and after about 15 minutes had to ask someone sitting at a desk if they could help us with information about some t.vs. They located a very nice salesman named Nick who was very helpful and put our purchases through and assisted me in getting the process in motion for interest free payment card.
Harvey Norman Launceston will not assist customers with their warranty claims. I have had an ongoing warranty claim with Electrolux since 01/07/2022 and Harvey Norman Launceston have not assisted in any way during the last 10 months. Whoever takes care of the Tasbuilt contact and sold us the oven should be ashamed of themselves. You should not be in customer service. You are pathetic. We won't be buying anything from Harvey Norman or their franchises in the future and I would not recommend to anyone.
