Currently sitting in the Bistro experiencing and witnessing the worst service. 45min wait for half the tables food. Their excuse - it's busy. I'm certain lunch and dinner time is always busy, staff better!

I was very disappointed with our meals as a group of 14 adults and 6 kids we ordered our meals one after the other 2 of the kids came out 5mins later another 2 kid's came out then 2 adults 5 min later the other 2 kids came out all up our meals coming out bit by bit in-between serving other tables l got mine last with my daughter which took over 1 hour and it was virtually cold we won't be going back

We had a pizza and chips among other meals on menu. I had o complaint about these two meals especially because pizza was so greasy that oil was literally dripping all over me when i tried the slice of it. Chips were disgusting, too soft, greasy and the taste was awful like taste of something else (probably taste of the grease and was covered in something that looked like cold grease). The cake we ordered was alright. Service and atmosphere were nothing special, although i find one staff to be rude when we visited on few occasions and the rest of the staff were good and polite. The service was reasonably quick but such a disappointment though!

I had a chicken parmigiana and it was discussing dry and burnt but the chips were great 👍 so if you're going to get a a parmigiana give it a miss and stick to a bowl of chips. Thanks 😊

Paid for a meal, after an hour it still wasn't out. Didn't get the meal. Hopeless !

The atmosphere is still bad, the music is still too loud and if one orders a soup don't expect to get a piece of bread with it. The mains took a while to arrive and there were only 2 of us eating ?????

Thank you for the quality of the gluten free food, and the separate fryer for your chips for my daughter. We haven’t been able to eat as a family at a hotel for many years as so many places can’t cater for a Coeliac. My daughter ate without issue, and did not get sick. It’s a rarity. So, thank you for allowing us a great night out!

Bistro needs a revamp, playground is rubbish. The food was absolutely shocking my child actually vomitted all his up 2 hours later, Parma was dry! Irish pub doesn't even have Guinness on tap what a joke! All they care about is the pokies! Save your money go elsewhere

Hi guys, My wife and I went there for lunch, we were told the wait was 30 to 45 minutes. 90 minutes later I call the manager Cam over and I explained the situation, he said it was very busy and not even an apology but when I told him our drinks had gone warm he did offer two soft drinks. We spoke to two couples on tables next to us which we saw they had come after us and they both said their meals had come within 20 minutes. Finally when our meals arrived they were cold and dry and looked disgusting. So I went and confronted Cam the manager again and told him that I don’t appreciate being lied to. He went on a rant with no apology and then got a young blonde girl to refund our money so he wouldn’t have to deal with it. When I told the girl our complaint all she kept saying it don’t scream at me Sir. Well little girl maybe if you can’t deal with a costumer complaint maybe find a job working from home so you don’t deal with people cos you were terrible in handling a costumer complaint. Yes you little girl you were the one who said 30 to 45 minutes. You passed us maybe 15 times serving other tables and you didn’t even have the decency to come over and give us an update on our meals. Disgusting place don’t not go there you will be bitterly disappointed.

Customers there are old European men in suits from the op shop looking for opportunities to claim 7 cents left on a polite machine I think it’s a Centrelink payment meeting place

Was not taken to table on arrival. It was pointed out across the room Ordered jug of coke for the kids and it was flat..no bubbles Took it back and they replaced it with a jug of coke with no bubbles Have eaten here several times including work xmas parties. Will not return

We had the $20 lunch special, and the Chicken Parma and Schnitzel were both on the small side, being dry and overcooked on the edges. Normally they'd be $27-30 so I'd be interested to know if the $7-10 more is a bigger size, because this was a bit disappointing. The kids calamari was small (only about 6 strands) but they were a fan. Staff were polite, helpful, and the venue generally nice. Shame about the food, might give another try.

5 meals where excellent we will be back

I had one of the worst pizzas I've ever had here. Under cooked, soft and doughy in the middle and they told me they couldn't do a ham and cheese pizza because the can't take pineapple off the hawian... the pizza is obviously not freshly made and must be frozen as there is no other reason why they can't just not put it on there to begin with!! Reasonable atmosphere but food is no good as several of our party were left ill after eating this food!

Shout out to the staff who helped me doing a birthday decoration plate for our friend who celebrated her birthday today. They are so easy to speak with and helped me surprise our friend! You guys are the best! This is how you call real CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hope you guys are being recognised by the management as you are showing friendliness and when there’s request i mean real request they really do it! Pork Belly salad is well recommended! So good and cooked with perfection. The place is a go to as it’s spacious and can eat comfortably. Thank you Highways! Always love to eat here. 5 Stars for you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At 80 years a stubborn male, must say the Highways hotel Springvale is top shelf. Undeniable my favourite venue. Other pubs are good but the H H is above rating. The Sunday smorgasbord is a connoisseurs delight. Try it.! Few adjectives can describe the goodness..

Love the venue and the staff. Go to spot for a beer, and for my poker games.

Well done Highways! Having an all day open kitchen is by far the most genius thing to offer patrons. We ordered the lemon pepper calamari starter, garlic bread with cheese & bacon, meat lovers Parma, Mexican Parma kids nugget meal and drinks. Everything was cooked to perfection, tasty and most enjoyable. Photo is Mexican Parma. Loved it! 10/10!!

The servers here is bull shit.And so bloody slow and the pork very tuff. No apple sauce at all.

Friendly staff good food, great atmosphere for a party

We have experienced father’s day and we came back on 7/9 because of the great hospitality we have experienced on 2 occasions. The service from both Rhiannon and Ashley and all other staff was excellent, they even recognised us from last time and thanked us for coming back. This service will keep us coming back again and again.

Good place for the kids to run around. The food is not too bad. The Parma was nice but chicken a bit tough and breading on the bottom was completely missing. Very amateur. Chips are delicious and crispy however. They do a great steak, just make sure to order rare or you can end up with well done like what happened last time. Ordered rare and it was cooked just right and went down very well indeed.

The snack fried rice is the best value for money. It's the tastiest fried rice ever and you could eat it at the machine you're playing. Customer service is always friendly and the vibe is always good.

held a function here in the Ahern bar, booking the room was a easy with amazing service and communication from the booking staff, on the day the room was amazing and clean, staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food platters we ordered tasted amazing and was definitely a lot more food then what we expected, i would highly recommend this place for any function

It's a nice place, good atmosphere. Half of the games in the Arcade didn't work. Ordered a cheeseburger with chips, was very tasty. They also have pokies machines at the front. The staff were friendly.

Everything was average, felt uncomfortable as the floors and chairs were all covered in crumbs and nothing is clean!

What a terrible establishment. I was racially vilified by a male staff member. He was terrible as were the other staff. They didn’t care they just stood around and and did nothing. The place is dirty and the staff are nasty individuals.

We went to dinner on Tuesday night in the Irish bar.The bar was closed,we had to order in the bistro.The lighting in that bar need to be looked at ,you cant even see the food it is so dark in there.We got our garlic bread and our mains and waited a hour for our dessert.There was 2 people in the bistro.NOT GOING BACK.It use to be a great place to go for dinner,but not now.

My daughter orders at 6.30 and didn't get her food untill 8.30 and she was in tears cause she was so hungry and the worst thing was that when she go it it was cold and to top it all off she had hair in her chicken nuggets and chips 🤢 DISGUSTUNG

Regular (almost weekly) diners at the bistro Recent staffing changes have almost killed our weekly visit, this may be our last. Can't even count 6 nuggets on to a plate.

On Friday the 10th of November my husband and his friend was at the high way having few beers. They both didn’t know they were cut off the beer. Both Decided to have a dinner and beer before going home. Comes to my surprise they are not allowed to have beers with their dinner. I have never experienced the most ruthless inexperienced manager working in the high ways she is so rude don’t know how to look after her customers. My own understanding it’s is her job to look after her guests. She even bar one of the boy because he was sick and par the other guy that doesn’t know he was cut off the drink. She says she’s the manager well I think the staff in the high way has got more experience than her she should not work in any venues at all She got no heart to let the 2 man have their dinner with their last beer and go home. This manager should go back to school and learn how to look after all guest in the venue very sad and stupid. She is disgrace to a human race

The best place to have a steak and the staff is super friendly that was 5 years ago and now they employ the worst manager ever.she is the rudest person I ever come across.we end up return our steak and get our money back and walk out.I really want her to go back to school and learn how to do her job and maybe put some manners in her head

It was extremely bad food, We ordered Sunday roast, roast beef was no taste and chewy, most likely was not fresh roasted the day, it was hopeless food, never coming back again.

Unfortunately I became very ill from having dinner here.
