Disappointing meal last night at theAldinga Hotel in the Bistro. I ordered roast beef. Two vegetables were burnt on one side. The beef was tasteless with some gristle. Very unappealing. Would not be keen to go back

I pre booked a table online to be in the cellar room for a VERY specific reason.. to allow an autistic family member to not become as overwhelmed by a noisy and full dining room. We arrived to be told that we had been moved to allow another group have our table without anyone contacting us to discuss the change to our reservation.The lady was confrontational and rude, even when I tried to explain we had received a confirmation email of this booking. She made no apology and said it was something they often did. We will not be returning nor will anyone from our table. Disappointing as we do like to support local business.

boyfriend and i dined in on valentine’s day. service was great, food was amazing. but we were both pretty disappointed as there was no valentine’s day specials, like last years menu. we were looking forward to the shared platters again lol. overall amazing.

The Aldinga Hotel has great senior menue with a good choice to chose ,my meal ( 3 corse ) was excerlent value and very tasty . The staff were freindly and happy

Beautiful food and brilliant staff

This pub was great when they revamped it, looks good still but obviously understaffed on the weekends. Took ages to get service. The meals have gone down hill too. Schnitzel was dumped on top of salad and chips, parmy topping was a mess of Jared pasta sauce and a load of cheese dumped on top. Salad was greasy cooked mess under the snitzel, soggy greasy chips too. My partner has the fish and chips, heavy batter greasy and the second fillet tasted and smelled off. Who puts generic packet salad under a schnitzel to cook? Not even a slice of tomato, just lettuce, onion and some grated carrot.

I had the roast of the day which was pork. The pumpkin was hard and undercooked, the carrot I think was old as it was tough and not nice to eat and the pork was tasteless, no seasoning at all. A very underwhelming meal.

I used to go here a lot (before renovations) and have a beautiful Scotch fillet. I chose to have the same today. Yes I was disappointed. My steak was about 3 mm thick, a small amount of undersized chips, a nice sized salad, plenty of side sauce and gravy. The staff were good, The atmosphere was good. However, I'm giving it fewer stars for the thinness of the steak. I would be happy if that steak was on a $4 steak sandwich, it wasn't. It was very juicy and tasty though.

Service:- friendly and efficient. Food:- disappointing, lack of variety (breakfast buffet) white slices bread only, no rye, no rolls etc. no cold meats, no cheeses, hot foods were lukewarm warm, poach eggs - whites uncooked, pastries not fresh, the advertising clip showed a lovely selection of fruit that was not represented on the platter- felt like roadhouse food. Atmosphere:- pleasant

We booked for a small birthday gathering. The service was extremely efficient, and friendly. The Aldinga Hotel offered a fabulous 3 course seniors menu for $25/head, with a delicious prawn entree, about 6 options for a main meal and a desert of Chocolate Brownie and ice cream. We had 3 Senior meals of Lambs Fry and mashed potato and one of fish and chips. All meals were delicious and very well presented. The staff checked when we were ready for each course and cleared plates quickly. We have had meals at this Hotel previously and they appear to change the menu regularly. Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely restored hotel.

Had chicken schnitzel with pepper gravy which was tasteless. The schnitzel tasted like it was cooked in water very wet and it was so small as I got from main menu. My wife got the senior size and WOW it was so small even she wasn’t impressed.. chips boring and salad was ok. It use to be good here as we have been for twelve months but sadly gone downhill.

As per our previous visits, we highly recommend the atmosphere, the food and all the staff. After a few other visits since our last review the only thing to add is the value of the meals on offer and we have never had any problem with parking etc., Ask yourself why we keep on visiting the Aldinga Hotel. The best Hotel in the South.

First time eating here, had a Singapore salad, was tasteless, I feel like they forgot the sauce? Husband had a snitzel, and it wasn't great. He felt as though the chicken was cooked in water and then battered, he has had better elsewhere. We might have to try it again. Presentation of the food looks nice. Table next ro us had fish and chips which looked nice. Otherwise nice and clean, friendly staff and I saw dogs outside, looks like u can take your doggie.

Didn’t realise a seniors meal would be a little light on (think the scotch fillet was pretty lean hence it couldn’t be cooked medium rare as it was very thin)

Food was great despite the long wait. Previous visits haven’t incurred this problem. Service was pretty good, too.

Service great. Staff try hard. Unfortunately there is nothing good on the menu. I have tried the burgers, roast, fish, chips and schnitz now, and all were very poor. Kick-back much better option.

Great meal, wonderful helpful staff, food was delicious. Really good all-round pub meal with a list of specials and seniors meals for lunch and dinner, as well as a discount on the rest of the meals for senior card holders. Reliable and friendly service and food.

Absolute 10/10 meals for all four of us. Delicious Arancini’s, steak and veg mouth watering and cooked to perfection! Kids loved their pizzas! Amazing and highly recommend!

Worst chicken sniddy I've ever seen! Was taken out of the oil still frozen, I picked it up off of the chips to see water dripping out of the white water-logged crumms onto the chips wich were sitting in water!!!🤯 Pink chicken no where near cooked!☠️ Won't be back!!

Your sraff are beyond amazing. They are Friendly, Welcoming and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble and always have a smile on their face. Food is amazing and even our grandkids love going there.

One of the best pubs to eat in the southern suburbs. Great, fresh, quality food, large servings, and reasonably priced. The specials change regularly and there’s plenty to choose from. Staff are great and the place had a nice vibe. The Aldinga is one of our favourite go tos.

Food was good and no complaints but the young woman behind the front bar was rude and just wanted to talk to some guy at the bar and made it seem like a hassle and annoyance that we were there wanting to order some food and drinks

Main meal delivered when we were only 1/2 way through our oyster entrees. $49 Rump steak was so tough I choked on it. Could not cut through the steak. Very basic menu with nothing special on the menu. A child fell from his high chair as there was no tray lock in. No apologies or refund offered. Avoid this pub. We are local & will never set foot there again.

Went for the buffet brekky on Sundays. Not great, toaster needs to go thru twice to toast, mushrooms strangely cooked, only scrambled eggs, and most of food just warm. Only includes instant coffee. Not worth $30.

Coffin bay oysters - kilpatrick delish and well priced for a doz. Service very accommodating and friendly. Mains were just as good. 😊 Tina

Have been before, we ordered the Green Curry (like spicy food) but this too hot. Should be noted on menu. The crumbed chicken was dry. The glass waitress dropped and smashed glass everywhere and only half cleaned up the glass in the alfresco area - chards of glass left in outdoor area.

Long time local, not the affordable pub to the general public. Yes, it is quite expensive for what's on offer! Special board can be good at times. Recent sub-standard meals have shown how overworked & under prepared the chef & kitchen staff can be!! In the past few weeks, either we haven't received a meal or meals have been wrong. Best to book a table in advance, fills up pretty quick. Staff are friendly & attentive.

Very impressed! Went for lunch on Friday and we enjoyed meals from the Seniors Menu and the Seniors 10 % discount that was applicable for the remaining menu. The Roast Lamb was delicious and meat so tender and it was so good to get a small bowl with mint jelly!! Staff are friendly and prices so very reasonable. We will certainly be back! Although we dined inside the Bistro, there is a lovely outdoor verandah which is dog friendly!

Having travelled extensively around the world this would have to be one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure to spend a week dining at. The staff and food were amazing nothing to much trouble. Gambling area clean with complementary soft drinks bar snacks My partner said she felt safe and comfortable at the venue.

Easy to book online. Table inside, a little noisy as was next to a large group but guess that’s pot luck. Food was very good, reasonable price in this day and age. Need seperate labeled queue for just drinks orders. Overall happy with service, staff lovely and friendly. Generous servings.
