The food in the bistro was very good but I was expecting it to be cheaper in a club.the steak that I had was one of the best that I had had in a very long time but the accompanying salad was a joke. The grilled barramundi was delicious. Same with the drinks. Drinks were Manly or Coogee pub prices. We went for the Countdown celebration show in the auditorium. A celebration of classic hit from the 70s and 80s. It was mostly 80s though and would have benefited from some mor 70s music. The show was good but it was a celebration of 'dance' hits, not just classic hits. Probably won't be rushing back any time soon.

The smell of cigarette smoke is really noticeable every time I visit. I’m really surprised they let the staff and customers breathe smoke in all day. Even tables close to the reception in the restaurant you can smell cigarettes.

Food is unfortunately pretty bad. It’s quite expensive given what it is and the type of venue to start, but then being bland and flavourless doesn’t help. Got the mushroom risotto and the first impression was that it looked very wet, almost like a soup. Had very little flavour and was almost just like rice in water. Burger was unappetising and chips were fine but seemed a bit cold.

Time to make an effort with the food being served to members from the restaurant. After about five previous experiences when not only me but the people I was with just refused to eat their meal I tried again yesterday … I ordered a pizza. I thought to myself nobody can stuff up at Pizza. … I have no idea how that could possibly happen … But the bottom of my Pizza resting on the plate … Was Wet …. And that’s not the first time …. What I want to know is how is that even possible? …. It’s time for a health and safety audit Around the food being served in your restaurant …. It would not even be allowed in a prison …. You need to show more respect to the members

Great place for a meal with service to boot. You can actually relax and have a conversation with little or no annoying noise. Just a comfortable place with a gentle and refined atmosphere. Love it!

Good kitchen and a good selection of tap beer and wine... And some good value poker

There is no lift from the carpark to the lobby. The lift from lobby to upstairs is a small old lift. This stops the seniors going to this club.

Slow start, air conditioning and water and sports.

Good food, service, prices and environment. I highly recommend.

Good warm atmosphere & great variety of food. We went for lunch but I recommend you pre-book a table if you are going for dinner while there is also a show.

Worst place to be there, very expensive food and steals money of people through gambling, you can't win nothing, they will empty your pocket, legal scam organised by Australian government gave licences to this venues to steal money of people, shamefully country and government, visited from USA, but feels like a hell this whole country of Australia and it's like a prison and a very poor country, and poor government stealing people's money

Boxing day ,ordered the barramundi pesto was okay, served with cream corn? Again the vegetables are like age care vegetables, omg over cooked.

This club has always been my favorite place, and I am a proud member. However, I had an unpleasant experience last night that left me disappointed. One of the staff members behaved very rudely, forcing me to raise my voice in front of my guest. Such unprofessional behavior does not align with the standards I expect from this establishment. I truly hope the management addresses this issue, as it tarnishes the club’s otherwise excellent reputation.

Came to here for so many times. Had great time before. Foods here also delicious! Except yesterday staff tried to take my food left on the table for several times. I have told him I’m not finish the food yet. Don’t know why so hurry to bring my plates??

Order a seniors fish n chip for dinner there was hardly anything on the plate. It did not come as what the photo advertised. So disappointed 😡😠

On our way back from Crows Nest today 20 Oct, paid a visit to the North Club given we live not too far away to see if it would be good to join and have a look around. The elderly gentleman at the door was very helpful informing us about the gym facilitates etc & explaining where everything was located. This was in complete contrast to the young person behind the counter inside who was rude and obnoxious - absolutely no people skills. Essentially unless we were to join immediately otherwise had to leave - by the carpark, no less, having come in through the main door. I have not experienced such poor customer service in a long time in Sydney. Reading previous reviews it appears this is not an isolated incident. If this is the training the young staff are getting it is no wonder clubs cannot attract memberships. Will never darken the door of the place again or consider joining this establisment. I do not leave many reviews but felt this behaviour needed to be called out.

We enjoyed the evening comedy entertainment show featuring Vince Sorrenti. The room seating layout offered all patrons a great view of the stage. The nearby drinks bar was handy to grab a drink & return to seats without missing the show.

Located at 12 Abbott Street, Cammeray, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This club was established in 1955 by the district’s football club, North Sydney Bears. In 1996, the club merged with the North Sydney Bowling Club. The club was originally located in Neutral Bay but quickly grew so relocated to its present site in 1964. The club has two dining areas, the Pantry and the Cafe. There’s also the Main Bar . There’s plenty of parking 🅿️ but the spaces are quite narrow which is difficult for large cars like SUV’s. There’s a great Children’s Playroom. The club itself is designed very stylishly making it very welcoming and comfortable. We dined in the Pantry, the menu is pretty standard for a Club Bistro, offering the normal options. The food was delicious 😋 and the staff were friendly. Also the club is very wheelchair accessible, my group included people in wheelchairs 🦽 and walking frames and we had no issues. Overall, we had a lovely time at the club and would happily return. A nice club with decent food and a very strong chess club.

Great location, food and atmosphere. Couldn't give less of a damn about customers though. Had a horrible experience nearly two weeks ago and sent them an email raising my concerns. Still haven't heard back. Will keep going for the food and how well priced everything is but would not kill them to make more of an effort with givig a damn about their customers.

Worst food I've had from this place. Use to be a great place for a meal. Couldn't cook a steak which is un-Australian. Don't waste your money here.

After many poor food experiences here I’ve felt the need to leave this review. As a local, I’m yearning for a decent food offering at the local club but for years now nothing seems to improve or get close to other licensed venues in the area. I recently had the chicken schnitzel with chips and coleslaw at Norths and it was a letdown. The schnitzel was overcooked and dry, with a herbed crust that tastes like something straight out of the frozen section at Coles. The chips were limp and soggy, tasting as if they had been sitting out for a while. The coleslaw was bland and watery, lacking the crunch and flavor you’d expect. Overall, it felt like a meal that had been thrown together with little care. I left disappointed and won’t be rushing back for another meal anytime soon.

Nothing matters if you advertise events and then slap people with the mandatory $10 membership and the annoying registration process for families with kids coming to see a circus. I'm sure willing customers will find this venue pleasurable but your poor communication around this event should have been better.

We had to find another meeting place with friends after Kirribilli Club sadly closed, so we tried Norths Cammeray. Easy parking, good drinks and food prices and speedy meal service. It was a little noisy (it was Friday night) and it didn’t have the views we had at Kirribilli Club but it served the purpose. They had a great membership deal and really friendly staff.

Had a very pleasant evening at Norths Cammeray with a dinner before an entertaining show. Having booked a table for dinner, we were able to finish our tasty meal in good time before the show, thanks for their efficient and friendly service.

Note - This review is for The Greens North Sydney (sorry) Recently moved to the area and have my parents visiting from the uk. Decided to pop in for food and join up as a local place to hang at times. I’ve noticed a few things others have left on here such as sometimes comment staff around and there’s dirty plates left at tables etc. it’s not a fine dining restaurant where’s tables are constantly serviced, but yes maybe do the rounds a bit more to check. 2nd visit places an order on a fairy quiet night. Did a second order for drinks (non alcoholic). They didn’t show up so I politely checked in. These were missed as on another screen which were not attended to which is totally fine. Drinks were sorted asap along with a kind apology. It happens but the staff were absolutely amazing and went out their way to do this and to be sincere about it. 3rd visit we did lawn bowls (first time for us all) Sanjay? (Sorry sitting in sun with headache). He set up for us, taught us how to do it all etc and again was super friendly and helpful. He even did a superb first bowl too!! Place is nice, have seen when it’s full and can seem rowdy and have a few big mouths. Food is edible too! No issues on both times. Again not amazing gourmet 5* Michelin but no one said it was. I think those leaving bad reviews need to chill a little and if you want super fancy stuff go to one of those places. What makes this place even better is PET FRIENDLY!! Again well looked after each time and keep your dogs on a leash. People have come and don’t do this and this is what messes it up for dog owners that can’t go anywhere with their pets cos you can’t follow a simple instruction. Again Sanjay went above and beyond and popped out with some ice cold water for us. Total legends in this place, even the best place makes mistakes. But this is def a winner in the area and will be back.

Quite a poor experience despite being members. Reception staff young, untrained and quite insensitive lacking basic people skills. Robotic and scripted responses and not interested in providing a half decent experience to customers. Wouldn’t recommend if you are a family as it could spoil your night. Food actually isn’t bad though. But extremely poor overall experience. There are many better, other options available!

Had a lovely experience at North Sydney Leagues Club. The food was excellent and prices were cheap. Particularly would like to note the exceptional customer service, especially Ronan, who helped us out when we were struggling with our food order and continually greeted us with great conversation and great service when he served us for drinks. Great venue that I can’t wait to venture to again.

North's feel they can message me and not let me opt out years later. How about you operate within the law hey? Don't give these clowns your phone number, they will text you and you won't be able to opt out. Despite the fact that you have to sign up for a membership if you dont live in the local area.... This place is fancy!! It is well priced and really nice for what you get. When you sign up you get a large meal discount that basically neglects the sign up fee. Well worth it.
