My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending Juicyfest at Melbourne Showgrounds. The room was perfect for our weekend away with a pub, tab and a bottle store literally at your doorstep. A 5 minute drive to the nearest mall with lots of other shops nearby if needed. The room was spacious, tidy and cosy. Our room had a tv, refrigerator, jug, tea & coffee and supplied clean towels. Perfect little hotel and the price was just as good. Would definitely come back 10/10

The one night stay was excellent , value for money. Convenient location , clean and tidy premises. The week day specials and the happy hour drinks certainly helped. Polite courteous staff assisted us in many ways , special thanks to Jack and Nick. Well done Guiding Star Hotel , will return soon

Even if for a short time, it is a good place to stop after a long journey,A stone's throw from the city and a good starting point,small but cozy rooms, the restaurant offers good dishes, the staff is friendly and helpful, recommended 👍

I initially booked through Agoda, we were on a budget and were attracted by the reasonable prices. Once I got to the motel I received friendly customer service with a smile from reception 10/10. That night we went to the pub for dinner and a couple drinks. All the staff gave 5star service and the Chicken Parma I had was the best Parma I’ve had in Australia to date! Very impressed with your staff and the chef. My partner had a lamb shank that just melted off the bone 🍖, great big portion size’s which was appreciated as we were hungry. The room was basic as expected but was clean, tidy and warm. I was initially concerned about the noise of the highway but I was so well fed I slept like a baby! Very comfortable stay. We were so impressed with your staff and because of our positive experience we will be back again next month. Thank you team

The food was the best reasonably priced all meals were delicious staff was lovely the location ...... A little bit how you going as a funky smell of a morning early and sometimes early evening but room was standard but comfortable I'd definitely stay there again .Stayed there a couple mths ago

My husband and I stayed at this friendly motel,the staff & specially the cleaners did a marvelous job!! Meals were excellent and reasonably priced,will definitely be back,highly recommended.

Friendly staff but 2 things. No microwave in room and the door locked me out my room before 10am (check out time). I was loading my things into car and the door locked me out, I had to get the cleaner to unlock the door because the office was closed.

The room was basic with a queen size bed and one bedside table it was clean . We had dinner in the hotel and the food was delicious 😋🤤 . Probably the best ribs I’ve ever eaten. They accommodated me with my dietary restrictions. Gluten free and low Fodmap. Thanks

Looking for food along Princes Hwy?! Look no further. Extremely affordable price with quality and good portions. Schnitzel is nice and crunchy, and the mesh potato is nice and smooth. The restaurant business hours are very short though, but definitely worth going!

Unfortunately I was not able to spend the night as I had booked the incorrect date but the reception staff were so helpful in helping me secure a room close by. I was fortunate enough to have had two meals with our group. The food was prompt, generous proportions and delicious. All the staff were extremely polite and efficient.

Excellent value for money. Rooms clean and well served. Surprising well sound insulated even being adjacent to the highways. Good values for money ‘pub’ food with vegetarian options

Very friendly staff

The reception staff were very friendly. Our room was small but very clean. However, the sliding door between the living and bathroom areas was off its rails & still did not work after it was “fixed”, so lacking in privacy. Ever tried to wash your legs in the shower with a face washer in one hand & a bar of soap in the other hand because there is NO place to put the soap? We were right near Geelong road but with no designated car park, so rarely parked close to our room & the traffic noise was loud. Then they could not connect us to the internet ( on the exact same devices that connected perfectly EVERY where else in Melbourne ). I won’t be returning to this venue

The reception guy was welcoming and helpful, the room was newly renovated and cozy, a/c was turned on when I first came in after a 8 hour ride in the cold and windy winter, the room was nice and warm. However there was a strong cigarette smell across the whole room and I didn't sleep well for that reason, everything else was great and will consider to stay again.

Clean, updated rooms. Hot water service is 50 litres, which is too small for 2 people. Staff are fantastic. The pub serves great meals. Be mindful that it is on an extremely busy, noisy main road. Way to noisy for us!

After a sleepless night on the spirit of Tasmania I was feeling very unsafe to drive ..I searched for accommodation under $100 in the area and guiding star came up .I arrived 2 hours before opening time(I didn't check) found it was all shut ..a lady who was doing the cleaning saw me walking around aimlessly and asked if she could help ..I told her my predicament ..she radiod reception which was still shut ...talked with another lovely person ... they opened and booked me in ..and all I had to do was wait for my room to be cleaned ... and now I'm in ... planning on sleeping half the day ... I am so appreciative of their care and empathy ..😊

The room was very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. It was great that there was a restaurant on site. The food was delicious and dinner was even brought to our room. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for one night for a wedding in the area so the location was ideal. The staff were very friendly and the meal was fantastic. The bed was comfortable too. We would stay there again.

Stayed for one night with wife on a Monday and was surprised how good room was. Very clean and a good size. It's basic, no microwave or toaster but had electric kettle. As noted there's a lot of traffic but this stops about 7pm so not much when sleeping. Good for an overnight stay or a longer stay if working in area. Reasonable price compared to other motels. Monday night roast was first class in the pub.

The room is pleasantly good & clean . I was hoping for a pub meal, but the pub closed on a Sunday . The bathroom is very clean but has suffered a bit of too much rock & roll from the pub, I think . There is nowhere to hag a towel as well, and there is no soap holder in the shower Other than that, the place is Ok. Got a service station across the rd. For snack food & drinks .

A piece of Spanish Mission style heritage located along one of the main arterial roads in Melbourne. It is also the last surviving licensed hotel in Brooklyn. (the half moon hotel closed down years ago and was turned into a caravan park which is now also non-existent) The staff are super friendly and it does not have any pokies machines (something i consider a plus) it is the perfect size and it is located opposite the motel rooms for easy access. Also a convenient 1 minute (perhaps less) walk to BP service station, Astron servo on the corner of Grieve Parade/Geelong Road, and located directly opposite Club 741.

Quick, cheap and easy motel. Perfect if you are just looking for a cheap bed while at work etc. amenities as price reflected. Pub next door for pub grub and BP across the road for supplies. Can’t fault for price. Very accomodating staff.

Wonderful secure comfortable rooms with ample parking spaces n just wonderful friendly staff. Even the cleaners were so friendly. Nice spacious room with a small toilet n shower area but it was just the right size. PIN number locks were another assuring thing about it

Bed was comfortable, the most important thing to me, a little noisy from the traffic, but once I got to sleep, didn't hear a thing

Our stay was excellent. Bed linen was crisp and fresh (though no top sheet and bottom sheet wasn’t fitted, it was just a flat sheet). Bathroom was a bit dated but everything was clean. Thankyou for our stay
