Went on a Thursday night for a birthday dinner and had the $27 Beef & Reef , with Steak , Salad , Chips , Prawns , Calamari and garlic sauce . It was absolutly delicious and totally worth it. The service was great waited about 15-20minutes for my meal as it was quite busy but it was within a reasonable time . But the staff on the floor were quick when it came to clearing the tables. I would highly recommend and we will be back again

Seems that the workers seem to love talking about crap behind the bar when yet they should be thier job. The food looks good and will be a worth try. The atmosphere is a very negative place,when you walk in their is a negative vibe. The pokies seem to be a rip off as I have put 270 in and only got lots of six balls and special feature and that's it and won completely nothing.. What a rip and have rigged the machines to make sure don't win and take the money. That is rubbish. Not even worth going to have a game in pokies at all

Went there tonight for dinner for first time in ages with our 3 kids, we had the slow cooked lamb, steak and a crispy skin barra…. All was absolutely delicious! And the seasoning on the kids chippies in their meal was so yum, the kids meal came out so fast too. We’re super happy with the food and friendly, timely service! Thanks for a lovely evening for our family and all of your efforts 🩷

Great value and quality, it's a pity I had to listen to someone blowing up balloons while trying to enjoy my lunch.

First time there and we were very impressed. We sat outside, ate the Normans sausages, brisket ragu gnocchi and the salmon. Couldn't fault the food at all. Will definitely go back.

After going on the 24th Dec 2024 , we ordered Oyster Killapatric it didnt or taste very good. I had that feeling. Also we ordered the veal that was tough and chewy. We had to leavs it. The food has gotten worse in last 6months from my last review.

Friendly service but let down by bland food. Brisket Gnocchi was hugely disappointing. Wife had the Chilli prawn pasta dish that was equally poor.

Busy day today, and while (younger) 'others' were standing around chatting, Helen was working her butt off looking after customers exceptionally! Well done Helen, you're a 'keeper'!! The lunch rump steaks we had today were some of the best we've had - so we'll done kitchen, as well. Keep it up!!

Bit noisy at lunch time

Walked in past smokers area public bar yuk then folding doors wide open smoke going inside I said how about closing doors he said if he does someone will not like it an hour later more people turned up more staff then doors closed we were left sitting outside by then with all tables full inside in the smoke free area. Don't rate the bar at all just it's the only pub in the area.. Convenient that's it.

Booked and went for a birthday party today .. we were so disappointed half the table got there food ate and finished and 1 hour later we had to check where the other half tables orders were .. it took 1 hour 15 mins to get 5 simple items out we felt it ruined the day as we didn’t get to enjoy lunch all together .. the garlic bread was not fresh and looked as though it had been reheated a few times .. the meals are not bad but seriously lack any seasoning they are bland and very overpriced meals for what you get . It’s ok but far from the amazing it use to be . We were very disappointed today !!

This is with our doubt the best pub in Australia. The staff are super friendly, the service very efficient. The food is very good and not at all expensive. There is two 8 ball tables, two electronic dart boards, a spacious pokies area, extra large screen TV in sports bar and good sized near the restaurant. Punters club runs every day where a cash prize, meat tray and a voucher can be won. 6 dollar schooners through 5 races. You can also join a social club and they host poker on Sundays. The atmosphere is always nice and easy going. My favourite pub in Australia. 5 starts.

We have been frequent diners but over the last 6 months have noticed a decline in the quality of meals. Not sure if it’s a new chef but the meals have definately not been to the high standard we have always had from this venue. Very disappointed

Bought Oysters and fish with salad paid over $50 and it was BAD never again

Took my wife and son out for dinner tonight we got 12 oysters but they only gave us 11 by accident when we told them about it, they bought us back an additional six more which was beyond our expectation. The food was amazing. I had the lamb shank the pork belly and chicken schnitzel it was fresh. It was hot. It was tasty. I recommend, this place Highly. My family owns restaurants in Melbourne and we are very pleased with the standard of food quality and service. The manager came and handled oyster issued professionally and promptly thank you staff we are most grateful and we will come back.

Customer service and wait time killed the whole experience. Forgot to make our meals. After going up to the counter to check on my food they couldn’t give me an answer on wait time and were annoyed that I was asking, when the others at our table had already eaten their meals and we ordered at the same time. No apology either. Place was empty and now I know why. Waited an hour on a burger. People who arrived after us and ordered the same thing got served before us.l and when our food came out the chips were cold and stale. Hate writing stuff like this but I couldn’t let this one slide. If you’re reading this, I hope your experience is better.

What an amazing night. Went to have dinner with some Friends and found out Tuesday is Music Trivia Night We had an absolute blast. The atmosphere was amazing and alot of fun. We didn't know alot of the answers but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. Great venue amazing food. Will be back.

We have been coming here since it opened and seen many changes in the staff and the menu. Went in Friday night with our neighbours and never been so disappointed in the place. The older blond lady is very unwelcoming and downright rough. No friendly smiley staff. And as for the prices! This place has now out-priced itself. Most main meals are now in excess of $30 and most steaks are over $40. And $30 for bangers and mash! Are you serious!? We ended up staying for 1 drink and headed down to the new pavilion which was buzzing with atmosphere and the food prices were very reasonable.

My partner and I had a really nice experience here. Great meals, friendly staff and a good vibe 👌. I also enjoyed the Friday afternoon entertainment after work too.

Pretty ordinary to be honest, pizza was just edible, son left 2/3 of the parmy. Won't be returning, if chef wants advise on how to prepare pub / club grub check out Seagulls.

We arrived only to be seated outside where it was really noisy with a group of adults behaving like kids at the table next to us, plus all the kids playing outside and screaming, we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk. We then request to move inside. We ordered our food at 7:50pm by 8:27 we still haven’t received any food (entrees) then at 8:30pm our food finally came out, but the entrees were brought out along with our main meals, which wasn’t acceptable. One of the guys behind the counter end up refunding us for the entrees and apologised…his words to me were I apologise but we were really busy tonight…which I honestly don’t think is a good enough reason especially if you have staff everywhere and a full kitchen of staff, plus between 8pm and 8:30pm it wasn’t that busy, the big dinner rush was basically over by that time, anyway maybe train the staff better or get better chefs in the kitchen. All the food was lukewarm/cold. The spring rolls weren’t crunchy and ice cold (yes it was refunded but it still doesn’t excuse the poor quality of the food) The brisket gnocchi was ok, but lukewarm and watery. The ribs tasted good…well at least the flavouring, but also were cold. The *Grilled* corn was nonexistent, the corn we received was raw, cold and hard, not cooked or grilled as the menu stated. Being our first (and probably last) visit to Pimpama Tavern the experience wasn’t pleasant, the quality of food was nonexistent, staff wasn’t really up to speed and lacked professionalism. When a customer works hard to get a salary and then needs to hand over almost $200 in one night for drinks and food for 3 people at a restaurant, the expectation would be to receive at minimum good customer service and hot food and in this case non of these expectations were met. I wouldn’t recommend dining at Pimpama Tavern, or at least before they get their staff/chefs trained properly. I would also add in by saying thank you to the guy behind the counter for offering the refund for the entrees but unfortunately by the end of the night, that tiny refund didn’t make much of a difference in our opinion or experience.

A family member recommended this place for lunch so we decided to check it out. We grabbed menus no one greeted us so we went to the counter to place our order so many staff just walked right pass us, one facing her back the whole time waiting on food for other customers she could of greeted us for a second as she was standing there awhile just like us. I found that so rude. Food was a big disappointment we couldn’t even enjoy our food because fly’s were hanging about everywhere we ordered the chicken nibbles & pasta both had no flavours so bland no crunch in the chicken wings the only thing that was okay was the steak sandwich. We wont be returning.

My fiancé and I love the Pimpama Tavern , the lady Lee (Patricia) behind the sports bar every Sunday has the best customer service. Guaranteed good chat and vibes ! We’ve been enjoying the lunch pizzas , should bring back the BBQ SICILIAN MEAT, but the meat lovers is huge vibes. The pork belly is really tasty too would recommend. We will be returning, have returned 10/10.

My crispy fish n chips was delish but hubby's beef cheek was bland. It's a nice place to stop for an inexpensive lunch.

Went to the Christmas in July today sorry to say it was a complete disaster,,,The food was actually cold and I reckon the ham came out of the supermarket last week the Turket or whatever it professed to be was the same ..very unappetising..Service was wishy washy we did not even get spoons for dessert till we asked ..I was looking forward to going and now I wish I hadn't such a disappointing day

Attended Christmas in July today and I have to say Doreen and her team went out of their way to make sure I wouldn’t miss out! As a vegetarian and gluten intolerant I could not have asked for better! The food was plentiful for everyone and appetising!

My husband an I had an amazing lunch today at the Tavern we both had the Christmas in July meal main sweets an a drink $30 Great value the baked turkey lunch an multiple veggies were so delicious. Would recommend it .The staff were very happy an pleasant happy to be working on a Sunday.👏👏🌻

I’ve been here several times and for the first time myself and a friend ordered the seniors meal. We thought this would be the standard meal but with a $1 discount deducted - hardly worth it right. Instead, our chicken schnitzel was literally a half portion. You could literally see the cut in the meals where they had halved the food. The quality of the meal itself was fine, just disappointed with the portion size. TIP - don’t order a meal and ask for the seniors discount.

Wasn't greatly impressed with pie,seemed fairly fatty meat. But the vegies were nice. Lemon,lime and bitters was expensive. Doubt if I'd return.
