Great club ,staff are wonderful, Niki and the band were terrific 23/4/2022

Didn't go to the Bistro. Went to see the Herberts on Australia day. We purchased a Bottle of Rothbury Sav Blanc that cost $42 for the bottle. I work at a local bowls club and we buy the exact same bottle for $7.90 what an absolute JOKE to charge $42. I know the RSL needs to make some money but that much is Highway Robbery. Not only that 2 bar staff for 167 in the hall + they had to serve the public bar area, at times you were waiting 40 minutes to be served.... Not sure who was on table 21 but they had 5 people and a guy by himself who was forced to move almost onto our table, they were just rude, they then got another chair and put it at end of table then told my friend who was in her seat to move.... Absolute Joke. Only good thing was the HERBERTS

Very disappointed with the Oakleigh RSL where we were here with friends for new years eve No decorations for the New year or atmosphere. Band playing no countdown, no old Lang sine.

Air conditioning needs to be improved. Too hot to want to dance . Even band members complained …. Even hotter for them under lights🥴

Had our wedding & reception there in the Carnegie room. Easily fitted the 50 odd people in. The music hall is well suited for larger groups. Meals were excellent and came out in a timely manner. Great venue, excellent & helpful staff. If you want a venue for an event or just a family meal we highly recommend the Oakleigh - Carnegie RSL Note - most of the decorations are our own

Food is good, the venue is very suited to concerts, outdoor seating area is very nice.

The entertainment was terrific. We engaged in a most enjoyable, fun afternoon. The venue has never disappointed

Not sure how this place has had good ratings unless the chef was off sick today. If I had not just paid nearly $60 for the 2 of us and wasn’t so hungry I would have walked out. Not one for making a fuss we ate what we could and I took home the dried up piece of rubber that was supposed to be barramundi for my dogs. My husband’s fish (whiting we think) was all crumb and paper thin fish. Stupidly ordered garlic bread without looking at price but still expected something edible. It was 4 small slices from a loaf you can buy frozen from the supermarket and it was soggy on the edges and tasted like the freezer. Chips were only thing worth eating but obviously supermarket frozen chips. Sorry guys if this is typical we won’t be back.

Worth popping in

2nd time I've been to see live bands. Both times had dinner. Calamari was fantastic and tonight's T-Bone was spot on. Cleanest toilets I've ever seen! Classic laid back RSL style service, warm Aussie style, like stepping back to the 70s. Great prices too.

Very well run establishment, clean bar, good space inside and out. Always lovely to catch up with mates here.

We had our car club meeting here recently, our first time here, and we were catered for very well. A private room with a screen suitable for our presenter, and plenty of room for our group. Very good meals served promptly and quite a nice selection for the house Shiraz.

Great spot for live bands. Saw The Sorry Boys and they were terrific. Fun night out and reasonably priced drinks too.

Great old time food and music food venue.

Great RSL with a pleasant outdoor area. I was also here for the All Hobby Swap Meet (though I would not claim it covers *all* hobbies as there was an under-representation of topiary and philately, just to name a couple). This was a great swap meet and it is terrific that the RSL is able to host such events.

Great night. Good venue. Fabulous band. I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat there. June 2022, go for the music, not for the food. We ate grilled barramundi (just ok) with chips (just ok) and a rather miserly salad that was described as a Greek salad. I guess that was because it contained a piece of tomato and cucumber. No olives. No feta. Not Greek.

Excellent! Live music in the beer garden by the Repeters. Great atmosphere. Drinks at reasonable prices. Restaurant not open except for snacks. But quite adaquate for the time of day.

Loved this place its like a quiet country restaurant during the week .you know the one chat to staff no one rushes great carlton draught really good food l had aTbone really cooked to perfection .not enough room for the chips there under the steak best meal I've had in ages

A beautiful RSL Club with no poker machines. Lovely Beer Garden and bountiful Bistro. A friendly and safe environment for members and the community.
